  1. This assumes the premise that Cosby's legacy deserves to remain intact. If that legacy is based on lies and psychopathy - which its fairly clear to me that it is - then it deserves to be torn apart. Even if you unfathomably manage to believe that all these claims are lies or whatever his deluded fans and apologists are claiming, there's enough anecdotal evidence from people in the business that Bill Cosby is just an megalomanaiacal a$$hole who has successfully hid behind his squeaky clean image for decades to warrant a little sunshine and truth telling.
  2. I feel like this was TWD's version of the way BtVS killed off Tara in the same episode where she was added to the opening credits. We finally got a reaction from Maggie regarding her sister only to have that momentary happiness ripped away from her in the cruelest fashion. Kudos to the show for actually making me like Beth. I didn't like her so much that I was sorry to see her die but I have to admit that I was looking to see how new and improved Beth would function with the rest of the group. It took Darryl's reaction to make me feel sorry she was killed though. I can't wait until rick and Morgan see each other again. I just hope that we don't learn that Morgan hates Rick now for some reason.
  3. Yeah I don't see Cosby bouncing back from this. He's toxic now. Bill Cosby resigns from fundraising post at alma mater.
  4. It's becoming clear that having sex with unconscious women is a fetish of his even when he has a consenting partner. I have no doubt that he's done this to his wife too.
  5. Technically I don't think she can count as "another one" since she was an anonymous member of the first Cosby 14.
  6. I'm beginning to wonder when Cosby had the time to make TV shows between all the screwing around and the raping.
  7. WE aren't. One person is and it's time to file that away under "life's too short" and move on. Lisa Bonet must be loving this.I hope one day she'll tell everything she saw and knows but I wouldn't blame her if she didn't. I don't blame any of his former costars for wanting to stay as far away from this as they possibly can.
  8. I think he's guilty as hell but even if he weren't I wouldn't necessarily expect him to be threatening lawsuits. Defamation is almost impossible to prove and the bar is higher for public figures. The suits would go on for years and would keep coming back up in the news. Guilty or not, he wouldn't want that. I would expect some kind of statement by now besides that mess the lawyer put out. It seems like Cosby's management is stuck in some bygone era where they think they can make this go away. After all, that strategy worked for decades. Cosby needs to her himself a crisis PR firm and ditch whoever is representing him now because they just keep screwing up. I'm beginning to wonder if he raped someone on his PR team and she's hanging him out to dry as sabotage because that's the only excuse for how badly this has been handled. That post from Michelle Hurd is the first time we hear of him doing this at The Cosby Show right? That means that some of these actors had to have seen or heard something. This is going to start splashing on them. I found it interesting that Jon Stewart took a shot at Cosby on The Daily Show a couple of night ago. Nothing serious just an ad-lib but when he starts losing other comedians, especially stand-up comedians who worship him, he's toast.
  9. I thought so too. I had a white supremacist on another site tell me that I was just mad at Cosby for having sex with white women. I kept thinking "You're a phucking white supremacist. Isn't miscegenation supposed to one of the things you folks hate the most?"
  10. Rape is always about power but I'm curious about what it is that's twisted him up so badly that he's been driven to do this for decades. I want somebody to profile the [!@#$%^&*] out of this guy and explain him. What happened in his house to turn him into this? Or was it his time in the military? Or was he just born this way? There's clearly some very disturbing racial stuff given that he seemed to target white women. (Is there a racial breakdown of his victims somewhere?) That's why it's extra sickening to see white conservatives defend him. These are the same people who celebrate the death of every young black man because they're all thugs and criminals. Yet they are rabidly defending someone who actually does live down to the racist image of the black man just looking for a chance to defile pure white womanhood all because he validates their hatred but they refuse to acknowledge that he IS the thing they hate because they're so busy looking at the kid with the sagging pants. I can't help but think that in Cosby's sick mind that makes it all the sweeter. It's all twisted on so, so many levels.
  11. I'm sure by now he's sucked the life completely out of her. The rapes, the cheating, the general asshattery, etc...I wouldn't be remotely surprised if she's loaded on benzos all day, every day. Clearly access to drugs has never been a problem.
  12. I think we'll hit 25-30 before this is all done. It's amazing to me to realize that he's been doing this since before I was born. I wonder how many of his victims may have already passed away.
  13. It the unfortunate effect of how craven beltway Democrats have become. Obama put it off because the blue dogs begged him too. Begich, Manchin, Landrieu and their ilk have poisoned the Democratic Party with their constant attempts to stay in power. They don't want Obama to do anything at all because they think that they can somehow win the votes of Republicans. The fact that they all voted for Keystone shows how utterly delusional they are. It's the political equivalent of Battered Women's Syndrome. They think that the Republicans push them down the stairs because they burned dinner when the truth is the Republicans push them down the stairs because they want to. Burning dinner is just the excuse.
  14. Nikki Giovanni putting Bill Cosby on blast back in 2007. I don't agree with everything she says in this video but love the fact that she nailed him for his hypocrisy. That said, I think it was out of bounds to bring up his son.
  15. I have a morbid curiosity about what drug he was giving these women. Was rohypnol around back then? I know quaaludes were popular in the 70s but I don't recall hearing that they had this kind of amnesia affect. He was obviously getting these drugs from someone like a dealer or a doctor feelgood. Who was supplying him and with what? That person shares a bit of the responsibility.
  16. If anybody needed more proof that there is no liberal media this should be it. I hope that Obama has finally learned that there's no point in trying to put off actions like this in the hope of saving Democrats. He let the blue dogs talk him out of acting on Keystone and this months ago and it didn't do anything but drive away the Democratic base.
  17. I've been wondering where Cosby can go from here. I don't see any other choice for him but to just disappear as much as he can. He's never coming back from this. He maybe able to keep up his charity work but he can't attach his name to it. Even if he wanted to address it, I think that would be a disaster because Cosby hasn't done a coherent interview in years. I've been under the impression that he's dealing with dementia.
  18. Suing would be a disaster for him. My (admittedly sketchy) understanding of defamation claims is that you have to be able to prove that the thing said about you was done with either 1.) reckless disregard for the truth and/or 2.) intentional malice. The bar for proof is even higher for public figures. Cosby would gain nothing by suing and he would probably only serve to help tee up a counter suit or even a criminal case, assuming there's one out there where the statue of limitations hasn't run out.
  19. Bill Cosby is not entitled to be famous. He's not entitled to money or accolades. There have been stories of him being just a general !@#$%^&*] for years. He's also an admitted cheater. For these claims to be false that would mean that 15 women (and counting) would have agreed to be part of a giant decades-long conspiracy where they get nothing out of it (only one ever got paid and the statute of limitations has run out for many of them) and they have their credibility shot going after someone with a rabid fanbase where no one would believe their claims. That strains credulity to the limit. If you were going to gun for someone famous why not go after someone where it would be more believable like Sean Connery or Mel Gibson? I honestly don't know how anybody looks at this situation and thinks that everybody involved is lying.
  20. This is a tough watch but for people who wonder how these accusations managed to keep getting buried I think this is enlightening. He basically tries to shame the interviewer into silence. It's textbook abuser behavior.
  21. Camille's been with him for 50 years. She's not going anywhere. I have no doubt that she knows exactly who and what he is. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if he's pulled this on her a few times and that she's considered his attacks on other women a reprieve. I only hope that she has a journal or something in a safe deposit box that will be released upon her death because I believe we will never hear one word from her in life.
  22. For me the question isn't why wait so long to come forward, it's why would anybody ever come forward at all. There's really nothing to be gained.
  23. Ta-Hahesi Cotes has a very honest, thoughtful piece about Cosby. http://www.theatlantic.com/entertainment/archive/2014/11/the-cosby-show/382891/
  24. Well, he hasn't canceled his stand up. He's on his way to Ohio in January. There are efforts to get the show canceled. I'll be interested to see if they work.
  25. Yes he did. He also wrote for The Onion. He wrote a fantastic book called How to be Black. I recommend it.
