  1. He has a recurring role on Big Sky last I checked, so more likely he wanted a more flexible schedule to be able to do prime time, so I don't see him stepping onto another soap. I think DAYS has understandably cut down on actors doing the whole recurring-with-flexible-schedule thing lately.
  2. Well, Peacock will now be included in Nielsen's streaming data and have been counted from the week of 9/25, so we might be getting some clues about how DAYS is doing there.
  3. Oh dear, you can watch the playback on that. They're were drunk.
  4. You know, he really goes for it at least.
  5. From what it's been said on Deadline and other sites, it seems like Peacock is hoping to package itself with other streaming services (apparently they made an offer to Paramount+, who said "thanks but no thanks"). So if that's truly the case, they might be trying to drive up subscription numbers to try and drum up interest in outsiders to make a package deal. Honestly, by the sounds of it I wouldn't be as much worried about DAYS getting cancelled as much as it sounds like Peacock might be going down before the it!
  6. I think it's an issue that goes beyond Carlivati to be honest - I remember commenting on this when Sammy Jo was made a gay man on nuDynasty and how they would just make him the nice gay guy... and they did. And after a few Cristals brought in another nefarious gay nephew to play the "bad" Sammy Jo role. I guess my point is that a show that targets women tends to make gay characters that take off with the female audience and make them rather harmless and sexless; so in comes the other extreme, who they have to make sure isn't liked - or is a mere visitor - or else the same fate will befall them. Sonny and Will has long since fallen into the category of "nice gay bestie" so left is Leo as the outsider.
  7. As I said, if they had to have a threesome, it would've made more sense for it to be with Tripp since the set-up was there - you had Allie who had cheated on Tripp with Chanel, then the almost-thing with a drunk Chanel and Tripp that Paulina interrupted. They're three young, hot and conflicted people who all have feelings for each other and they try to solve it in a sexy (ugh) way. It sets up for Tripp leaving when he realises that Allie and Chanel aren't ever going to be that into him, after all (implications of what happened during the threesome!). Now I fear they'll really pull the pregnancy card and in all honesty - I don't think we need to see RSW playing an expectant father again, plus Allie already has a small kid and I'd rather Chanel actually stay child-free for now. Ugh.
  8. Because ABC was willing to pay more for it. Get money Deidre!
  9. Well, if I wanted to see adults be responsible then I wouldn't be watching a soap 😂 Personally, I would've had the threesome happen with Chanel/Tripp/Allie as a misguided attempt to sort out their feelings for each other. It doesn't work out as intended and Chanel/Allie make it out as a couple while it triggers Tripp to leave town.
  10. Yup. I mean that's the kind of gist of it isn't it? There doesn't seem to be any conflict here, which is Soap 101. Now I worry about what you said - both will become pregnant.
  11. Considering the third season bible supposedly contained zombies it seems like they were going all in on the supernatural, perhaps hoping to attract Dark Shadows viewers since it was finding a renewed popularity in syndication at that time.
  12. They need to hurry up Chad/Stephanie so that Abby can show up with a baby in tow to their wedding.
  13. It's just DAYS continuing to be screwy about ages - how old is Jennifer supposed to be? 50+ at least? And Mike is older than that... so yeah, she would've had Mike at 18. And I think they kept the 1992 birthdate for Abigail, so she was in her early 40s when Abigail was born.
  14. I always thought Steve Wilder looked a bit "too" perfect and like a human Ken Doll.
  15. Sorry, I saw it posted on a ratings website and while the name looked vaguely familiar I actually didn't connect with where I'd heard it from until @Errol's post. I wasn't on here during the time that person was a subject on this website, so I've only heard things about it third hand, which is why I didn't connect the dots.
  16. So disappointed that Ron couldn't even squeeze in a reference about Mike visiting the grave of the love of his life - Margo! 😂
  17. It should be noted that since Drew Barrymore's show is divided in two in a lot of markets these days, her ratings are combined from two airings; so it's hard to gauge how well she's truly doing.
  18. Twenty-four hours never seemed so far away Feels like a lifetime ago Twenty-four hours, so little did I know Twenty-four hours ago
  19. It hasn't been announced - Corday just commented that being on Peacock they don't have to worry about episode length. But at the same time, they still sell the show to syndication in other countries. So they'll still have to take that into consideration when cutting the episodes.
  20. I'll admit I first dismissed it as a former teen pop star trying to get "cool" house/dance cred with the popular gays, but the album just keeps gathering momentum for me. I might have to go down and buy the vinyl at this point! Here Comes the Night live at the Swedish Grammy's is something special: This is currently gathering airplay on my local radio station:
  21. Moonlighting definitively had its own audience when you look at its ratings - it's just that it fell apart backstage and then came Roseanne and eclipsed it. http://tvtango.com/series/moonlighting/episodes Click on the links during the first few seasons and you can see it clearly grew out of its lead-ins during the first few seasons... then Roseanne happened, but it doesn't mean Moonlighting didn't have any hype at the start.
  22. I like how Stephanie is a SERIOUS BUSINESS WOMAN doing SERIOUS BUSINESS WOMAN STUFF hence she doesn't have time for Alex because she's stuck doing SERIOUS BUSINESS WOMAN THINGS like riffling through a bunch of papers and looking busy. DAYS is really good at writing business stories and defining careers.
  23. Abby was just very respectful not to misgender her murderer! Very polite lady, she was.
  24. I'm so behind on my DAYS watching that I'm just after Sami's disaster wedding #342 and the introduction of Jada - of course, it's a bit stilted that female black lead cop character leaves and in comes another female black cop lead, but she's alright so far.
