Degrassi: The Next Generation
Just got done binge watching the season, and I thought it was good. Saad is a good addition to the cast, and I am interested to see where he and Lola's relationship goes. Yael's body dysmorphia started out strong, and went haywire for me. I am livid that Tristan and Miles did not get a happy ending as everyone wanted. Once again, the gay couple is screwed. I am glad though that Zoe and Rasha got some sort of happy ending. Esme clearly suffers from some psychotic break, which I am sure will be explored next year. Interested to see where that goes. The montage in the final episode made me misty-eyed. I am gonna miss this class. Even those that annoyed me at times (Maya). I do know that some hardcore Degrassi fans are p-ssed that Cam did not get a mention at the graduation. Breakout stars this arc was clearly Saad and Goldi. Love how they took the time to develop Goldi these past 2 seasons instead of having her be the Greek chorus. Her episode based on the Brussel attacks was heart wrenching. However, I think out of this entire class that Zoe came full-circle and had the most change. Glad that she accepted that she doesn't need her mother at all, and grew to accept who she is.

That could've been interesting along with Kyle trying to win over Ben in the process. It would've been interesting to see Fletcher be involved with Kyle's return had they not written him off. I mean I get the actors fear of being made into pillars, but with the proper writers, they could've still been viable. Also, being pillars isn't all that Josh/Reva could've added to the canvas. Lewis Oil & Lewis Construction should've once again became pivotal on the show again. There are plenty of work stories that Reva and Josh could've been in.

Meh at Reva/Matt. I just don't picture those 2 hot together. I always felt Matt was at his hottest alongside Beth and Dinah. I think he would've been hot with Blake too. I just think that Kyle coming back should've been in the cards anyways. Especially, once Ben popped up on the scene. It could've possibly nixed the stupid stories he got once the character returned. Well lucky for them they had writers to appease them b/c had I been in charge, they would've accepted their roles as given. They would've been still front burner, but their kids would've driven story instead of them. No one needed to see 50+ year old Josh and Reva still entangled and triangles and such. That's something for characters in their 20s to early 40s. About 45, I feel like characters need to be stable and sages amongst the youngsters. They can have their trials and tribulations still, but not every damn year like Jeva did.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I think by Kelly logic, she means that if you try and give your opinion that she's gonna give the business like she usually does. Again, they need someone new at Bravo to come up with their taglines. You can't tell me that same person that devises BH and NY's taglines are the same ones that come up with the same taglines for all the other cities. NY and BH are typically the cities with the best taglines season after season. I'm beginning to think that they need to just give full control to the housewives themselves, only intervening when the tagline is a total dud.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
@Cat, I hate Tamra's tagline. I am tired of pushing religion when we all know she's nothing but a charlatan. There's a special corner in Hell for a creature like her. Yup. Peggy's line is Kelly's but they just added sports car in it. They need to hire new tagline writers. LMAO (re: what you said about Shannon)! I am surprised that isn't her tagline either. Got some RHOA tea! Apparently, a fight broke out between Lamarra (a friend of Nene's) and Shamea. Porsha and Nene were apparently involved in the altercation too.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....

Sorry but Reva and Matt would've been dreadful to watch. I would've preferred they bring back Kyle if we needed someone with Reva outside of Josh. I don't think Jeva (the pairing) was an issue. It was constantly trying to figure out ways to break them up and put them back together. After the arc with Annie or Olivia, the two should've remained together to the bitter end the the story should've shifted from them onto Marah and Shayne. Josh/Reva should've just been a staple couple--the pillars or sages of Springfield. Again, I always feel Reva's primary issue was that she didn't have a job or career. B/c she didn't, her stories always consisted of her out of this world love life, which grew stale. It was cute in the 80s. It wasn't cute anymore about '00. I do think that Reva not being part of the ensemble and it always being Reva and them was a primary issue. Reva was well-integrated during her original run. She became isolated during her return.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I know y'all ain't up in here talking about the Grand Dame like that!!!! So what if she and the Black Bill Gates are having issues. They'll fix 'em. However, none of the other women can talk. Ashley is a damn sugar baby. Word on the street is that Gizelle's ex still takes care of her. Robyn (and Juan) allowed some idiot to strip them of their fortune. Charrisse is getting taken care of by Eddie ... for now! None of them heffas need to concern themselves about the Grand Dame! But I am not surprised that this came out. At the end of the day, when it comes to the Grand Dame Huger...- Guiding Light Discussion Thread
They should know that thanks to the success of Empire, Scandal, This is Us, Grey's Anatomy, How to Get Away with Murder... All these shows have diverse casting and have strong ratings. It just boggles my mind how daytime soaps continue to fight against what is right in front of them. What is even worse is that Nielsen revealed a few years back that we (African Americans) are the largest consumers in TV and Internet. We are also the largest group to still watch daytime TV; however soaps still refuse to cast and write for Black characters. That's why all the soaps are in the dumps compared to what they used to be 20 years ago when soaps beefed up their roster with diverse characters.- Guiding Light Discussion Thread
Did P&G even try and shop them abroad? I know some Brits said that they got GL & ATWT for some time, but they ceased showing after awhile. I think Sunset Beach got a longer run over there. I think the P&G shows were extremely popular in the Netherlands. Another World was very popular in Canada. They should've shopped these shows so much better.- Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
Now you know they aren't getting rid of any Dingles. But if they did, I want Debbie to be the first one out the door. I love Cain, Sam, and Lisa. I don't mind Marlon, Chas, and Charity. Zak and Belle can go along with Debbie. Both of them annoy me to no end. Rebecca needs to go too. Let her die giving childbirth to Robert and Aaron's child.- Guiding Light Discussion Thread

Didn't Emma (like Lily) have an issue with Luke being gay? I can't remember her reaction to the news.- Guiding Light Discussion Thread
Amelia Marshall would be good on any soap. Like Vanessa L. Williams, but Amelia would've been the perfect Valerie Grant recast. B&B could've snagged her to play Sasha's mom. She'd be perfect on Y&R, but I don't think I'd want her hitched to drab a** Neil. I just miss her presence in daytime. Thank God that the early 90s episodes of GL are being post on YouTube, so I can relieve all four of those performers greatness once again. Just criminal how daytime regressed when it comes to diversity. Yes! DA Dara Jensen! She was so criminally underutilized on GH. I hate how GH got rid of her and the Wards by the end of the 90s.- Guiding Light Discussion Thread

That's shocking to me too. Dee was also the more scandalous Stewart sister compared to Annie. I think Marland would've had a field day with her. Annie v. Lucinda could've been good if plotted correctly.- Guiding Light Discussion Thread

Yeah, Betsy wasn't involved much with Kim during Marland's era. At times, one could forget they even had ties. Oh and we know they would've never made Seth gay back then. He would've had a short shelf life if that was the case.- Guiding Light Discussion Thread
I've never heard anything about the reason why Bev was snubbed, but it is weird. I always trumped it up as a network thing--that the academy always preferred rewarding ABC soap actresses over CBS and NBC. I think it is criminal that Bev never won an EMMY given the material she's had and how she's performed it.- As The World Turns Discussion Thread
So you're saying that Betsy should've just went into a supporting role? Do you think that instead of putting Frannie with Seth that they should've tossed Seth in her orbit? B/c clearly Frannie/Seth or Seth/Sabrina didn't work out in the long haul. I think Betsy's mileage ran out. I think that people wouldn't've accepted her in another romance outside of Steve. Much like fans never accepted Bo/Hope, Luke/Laura, or any other major super couple with other people.- As The World Turns Discussion Thread
I think b/c Steve/Betsy were written and sold as soulmates that Marland should've just sent the 2 off together. There just wasn't much you could do with Betsy as she was marginalized thanks to her pairing with Steve. Plus, you didn't even really need Betsy afterwards as Emily was filling the Stewart ingenue role at that point, and was bringing much more drama than Betsy could. - Y&R: Old Articles
