  1. @Cheap21, valid point, but I don't think the amount of women was the issue. I think just how they were crammed at us at once was the issue. There should've been a gap between introducing all the women on NYC. They should've brought in Aviva first then about 2-3 episodes later debut Heather, then about 2-3 episodes later brought in Carole. They just seemed to drop them all there at once. I do find this weird though b/c the did the same thing in Miami s2, but it worked. I guess b/c we were still building relationships with the originals (Marysol/Adrianna/Lea) that it didn't mess up the show that much. OC did do it right by debuting Shannon immediately and Lizzie didn't come on till about a few episodes later. It felt organic and not force fed.
  2. Anne Heche was such a class act.
  3. They really do. God I miss them all on TV. Even kooky ass Martha Byrne playing sniveling Lily. Someone needs to put my Colleen Zenk to work too. She is far too talented to not be on a sitcom or some drama.
  4. Mica is the shot in the arm that Potomac needs. If I am not mistaken, I think someone said that Mica is from the DMV area, which would make her perfect for Potomac.
  5. Oh how I miss Rick Hearst. I will say this till I day I croak, but Guiding Light was stupid for now wooing him back after his stint on B&B before he went to GH. They should've offered him the world. Even though I know many hated the character of Nick McHenry, CBS/GL was crazy in not trying to snag Vincent Irizarry after AMC dumped him 2006. He should've never been sent to Y&R as David Chow. God I miss Robert Newman too! Why has no soap snagged this man yet?!
  6. Because I believe she was burnt out by then (in both situations), and she had that piece of deadweight (Kreizman) tied to her.
  7. We weren't but I've seen you in action.
  8. I don't argue with crazy.
  9. Not surprised. We all knew there were no tapes and this was Trump's attempt to distract us all.
  10. Well I was watching to the mess he produced during his time at GL. While the show was still watchable, I grew tired of the perils of Reva and I love Reva. He was the driving force in making the show the Reva Hour. And I will NEVER forgive what he and MAB did to Y&R. That sh-t was horrible, and I still have nightmares over that period of the show.
  11. I am NOT prepared to see the end of Tristan and Miles. I'm gonna miss them along with Tiny and Zoe too.
  12. Ramona is gonna get chewed out at the reunion after tonight. She deliberately invited Harry and Misty to her housewarming party to stir the pot. I'm sure production coaxed her into doing it, but Ramona is gonna be all alone catching hell from Luann. Just messy. Tinsley knew damn well that she didn't wanna stay downtown where Carole stays. She knows she wants a nice, lush penthouse. I see she and Bethenny get into it about Bethenny's old apartment next week. I feel like that is coaxed by production too. I enjoyed the scenes of Carole/Dorinda going to the Women's march. Glad that those 2 are repairing their bond again after it took a hit last year.
  13. According to Lemay, soaps wasn't what he wanted to do anyways. If I am not mistaken, Rauch wanted to do movies (like most) and had to settle with soaps.
  14. Well it didn't help that he didn't have EPs that really challenged him. According to Lemay's book, Rauch seems like an idiot, who is itching to get a come up too.
  15. Very true. I do think a lot his problems could've been nixed had he confronted them.
  16. Well I took his word for gospel but wondered why no one spoke out against him. Hey, he might be an assh*le but he is a talented assh*le.
  17. Well see I didn't know all this history prior to posting here years ago. I read the book beforehand.
  18. True (re: Lemay). But I do find his book, Eight Years in Another World, to be one of the most insightful autobiographies I've read. It's become one of my favorite reads too, as I stay rereading it constantly (along with Bill Bell's biography).
  19. OMG. All this tea y'all be spilling about my faves whether it be Marland or Lemay, saddens me. While they did marvelous things to the shows they were part of, they seriously flopped in other areas (i.e. the importance of certain actors/characters to the show).
  20. It was funny as hell. The one time that Tyler Perry's repetitive lines came off as hilarious.
  21. Yeah I think I remember reading an interview of her declaring that she wanted to raise her kids, which is understandable. I do miss her presence in daytime now. I truly think she is one of the few writers that could fix any 4 of the shows if given full control.
