ARTICLE: ‘Days of our Lives’: What We Know So Far About the Move to Peacock
I haven't watched DOOL in years (I stopped around the time when Ben was a serial killer... or sometime after that story, to be more precise). But I was always fond of the show and I still keep up with the show, just hoping I'd find something interesting to draw me back in. Nothing, and I mean nothing, has been even remotely interesting in the past 5-6 years to me. Especially in the last few where we had another devil possession handled horribly from what I could read, as well as the continuous use of Rolf to bring dead people back to life in a most ridiculous cartoonish way, on top of the previously mentioned serial killer being now a romantic lead and friend of his victims, only now he is going around town as a different character, in a matter of days from being the serial killer... these are just some of the examples of stupid moves which make me not want to tune in the slightest. There are other examples, but they annoy me to a lesser extent. With that said, I would not pay anything to watch DOOL in this state. Yes, 5 USD is not a lot, but it is 60 USD per year. And I can do other stuff with those 60 USD. About the move itself, I don't think a move to streaming is bad per se, but such unprepared move to streaming, done like the way it was done, is a horrible move. Done, what seems like at the last minute, without any preparation on show's part to create something interesting to invite people to follow them to the new medium, without any promotion (I see that Corday is saying there will be promotion (but Corday lies a lot or at the very least has no idea what will happen in future and still makes promises that then don't come true), but promoting this on, like, September 9th for the move on September 12th will not cut it). This should have been promoted for weeks in advance. Also, without the show doing some changes to the format/storylines/cast/crew, this will be same [!@#$%^&*], only now people will have to pay to watch it. And it will remain like that until at least February 2023. I am having hard time understanding how anyone at NCB and production would think what they did now was a good execution, even if they really do believe that DOOL can help them with Peacock. Good luck to them, but in my opinion, this is not good news for DOOL at this point. If they somehow manage to survive by the time changes come and if the implemented changes are the right ones, then they might survive. Otherwise, I really do think this was a cancellation as NBC has had enough and is just burning off the remaining episodes on their half-dead streamer. Sorry for the long post..

Y&R and B&B May Sweeps Spoilers
Based on the time when they announced this, maybe this event already happened, but it was so lame that no one noticed and now they are hoping people will forget about it and they won't mention it anymore lol

Y&R and B&B April (and late March) spoilers
So has the "never ever been done twist" happened yet on B&B?

Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
Oh now when you mentioned this, I might actually have watched some of this... definitely did not watch Andy leaving and Chrissie self-stabbing, but might have watched Lachlan shoot Lawrence. Wow, so with Chrissie dead and Lachlan in prison (I guess), no one can ever confirm that Andy is innocent. Wow. I wonder if Kelvin Fletcher decided to return, how they would clear his name without Chrissie. Lachlan would never just confess to add himself more sentence lol

Whaat? Lachlan framed Andy for this?? Oh no! Andy was one of my favorite characters, so I am glad I missed this.

Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
Ah yes, Gemma! Thanks! It has been so long, I cannot even remember who the girl was. lol I do remember enjoying Belle back then, mostly because of the young actress playing her. Wow, he killed Chrissie and the old man.. did not think you'd say that. I tried turning in at one point later, but could not.. I don't even remember what was the thing that got me to consider to tune back in.. lol

Great!! Thanks a lot!

Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
OMG Lachlan ended up being a serial killer? Interesting. Who did he kill? I stopped watching around time he and Belle started hanging out and I wanna say Belle pushed a friend who died? Might be mixing it up with something else, but I think that I am not. lol

Y&R and B&B April (and late March) spoilers
I have not watched Y&R in years, and I never liked AH as Victoria, but watching her in this car accident promo has actually made me think that she was doing a good job there. I cannot say that for MTS and her lines from the promo, which sound terrible. Is MTS not trying anymore?

DAYS: Fire Jamey Giddens!!
I always thought that Head Writers write the story in form of a prose. Breakdown writers then break that story into episodes, creating episode outlines. And then script writers take those outlines and turn them into dialogue/scripts.

Oh yeah! Good question, Ben! I had no idea there was a live episode either! And when I googled it after the reunion, there is no info whatsoever.

Days of Our Lives: February 2022 Discussion Thread
While I enjoy it, I guess Alan made another mistake, when he asked about Judi Evans being brought in for the love triangle involving Bonnie and Julie. I watched around that time, but Bonnie was never in a triangle with Julie (and Doug). Wasn't she only there with Mickey and Maggie? They Hayes did not correct him, but were just saying how great Judi is, so I was confused a little bit. EDIT: Also, I found it interesting when they were talking about 2004 SSK storyline. I thought it was known that Frances Reid knew she would not really die, but I got the impression that not even Frances knew.

Y&R: Old Articles
I haven't watched in years, but back when I watched, I could not say she was a bad actress. She just wasn't Victoria Newman to me. Especially when she first started, it was such a big contrast to what Heather Tom was doing as Victoria. And even few years later, I could not accept Amelia, because she was just so much different than Heather's Victoria. Otherwise, I found Amelia to be okay, the little that I saw on The City.

Whaaat? Galen Gering as Nick Newman?? I don't see. I am glad it did not happen. Although, it is insane that Nick and Sharon have been on for so long without any break. I think each character/actor should have some breaks. And I used to be a huge Shick fan. They kept me watching back in late 90s, early 00s when I started watching Y&R.

Y&R: Old Articles
I was doing some aircounts for 2007. I stopped watching during LML years and I only came back when MAB took over, so I did not watch this part, but I noticed that Victor and Nick had lower airtime, especially in June 2007. Seems shocking to me, considering how much they usually dominate the airtime. Anyone know what the reason was? Also, another question... did Daniel have a porn addiction storyline? How was this shown? I mean, obviously they could not show naked ladies and porn or Daniel, um, pleasuring himself. So how was this addiction depicted? And how did it come about?

All: character may be killed off
I see what you mean, but Corday was swearing in 2015 that everyone that Ben killed were all dead for good. And that didn't stick. So Ron might be as serious as a heart attack, but if Corday and Sony change their mind in two years and Ron is still there, he will have to change it. So in comes Rolf with her serum or MM's Abby is found to be an imposter and in comes KM as a the real Abby held captive on Melaswen in a DiMera dungeon. And it was even Ron who wrote the story, undoing the last "seriously, they are all dead" story. I mean, many soaps have done it, which is why soaps became a joke at one point to many people. But DAYS is the worst offender in this area. It is absolutely ridiculous what DAYS did for shockvalue only to regret it all and reverse it, making even more damage to it's credibility as well as emotional value of the stories, since people became incentivized to death on DAYS, lowering the impact such stories should have. The only way I see Abby not returning at some point is if DAYS is cancelled in two years and they don't have time to bring her back by then.

All: character may be killed off
People should not be upset over any death on DAYS. Jack's organs were donated and he still is alive. Roman was stabbed, Abe was shot, Victor was electrocuted, Will was strangled etc .. and they are all alive. After Corday swore that all of those were real deaths. Why should we believe any death now is any different?
