  1. Do not put that out there in the universe.
  2. It was wrong to root for Roger/Holly because of their past yet it was so right to root them. There were always hints of something brewing between them. MG herself said that she and MZ connected right away as actors and clearly the writers and the audience saw that connection as well. Roger/Holly were once described as the anti-supercouple and that description fits them perfectly. I don't know if this was posted here before but SOD had Roger/Holly as Most Intriguing Couple in the Best of 1989 issue.
  3. Some names I'm throwing out there: Nathan Purdee, Darnell Williams

It was a sign of the times that escapism was on the way out. Television viewers sought comfort and warmth because the world around us was changing so much.
  5. @bongobong Peak Bill Bell B&B was 1989 Sally Spectra arrival to 1993 Brooke takes over Forrester.
  6. Y&R peak eras to me were 1984 through first half of 1986, 1990 through first half of 1994, second half of 1997 through 1998. Second half of 1986 through 1989 Cricket ate the show. Second half of 1994 through first half of 1997 Y&R got off-track due to Nick/Sharon eating the show and a storyline lull. 1998 Bill Bell stepped down and we know the rest.
  7. @alwaysAMC You're getting close to Annie overdose in Fall 1997. That was one of the episodes on Cynthia Watros Emmy reel.
  8. Seasons 8 and 9 were the off the rails plus budget mode era. They were not necessary and I feel they only happened because CBS was in their third place primetime mess era. Season 8 was a chore to get through. Season 9 had a darkness and sadness surrounding it and it was painful to get through. Jane Wyman was not looking healthy during the final two seasons but I think budget mode also played a part in her episodes being cut during the final season. The final four episodes felt like they were refilmed in order to wrap up the storylines.
  9. Hahaha, yes, I totally remember that! I don't think Nikki was referred to as "grandma" until MTS became a grandmother IRL.
  10. 1997 Noah Newman birth made Nikki Newman a grandmother. Melody Thomas Scott was 41.
  11. Andre will wear Dani down soon enough. I am loving Dani shading Ashley though.
  12. Anita bitch slapping Silk Press Sheila was giving me Queen Stephanie feels. Go on Anita with your grande dame diva/messy matriarch self. Anita vs. Silk Press Sheila is the feud I need 😍 This makes me 😢
  13. Because 90% of the show is hot garbage 🤣
  14. The Cosby Show; Murder, She Wrote, and The Golden Girls were repeats but still finished in the Top 10.
  15. I had totally forgotten the Marcus Jordan dishes comment. This waste of space of an NBA nepo baby thinks the rest of the cast are beneath him. Yeah OK whatever 🙄
  16. Hahaha, yes. Nicole knows Carlton is waiting.
  17. I don't know what the initial contract length is. I always thought three years was CBS daytime standard contract.
  18. Tricia Mann-Grant is the breakout star of BtG and she should move on to bigger and better things after finishing her initial contract. I say one contract is a decent shelf life for a villainess.
  19. @Taoboi I'm still waiting for the storyline with Larsa new boo. I wonder if the show will bring up Larsa alleged hookup with Ime Udoka aka Nia Long second baby daddy.
  20. Bill Bell had stepped down and Kay Alden/Jack Smith did a lot of long term damage with Victor DNA, Jill parentage, and Cassie death.
  21. How I break down Y&R run Growing years: 1973-1979 Surviving years: 1980-1982 Thriving years: 1983-1998 for the most part. Exceptions being second half of 1986 through 1989 (Cricket ate the show), Summer 1994 (Frat Party), Fall 1994 to Spring 1996 (Nick/Sharon ate the show), Fall 1996 through first half of 1997 (lull in the storylines). Tanking years: 1999-2005 Not classic years: 2006 onward. John Abbott death was the end of an era.
  22. Larsa/Lisa beef is gonna get ugly. Lisa basically called Larsa a clout chaser.
