Is CBS airing any classic eps next week? Hopefully with we’ll get a semi-decent Thanksgiving episode this year after last year’s trashy fantasy garbage with Phyllis and Gloria 🤮

In a way it worked because Tom had easy chemistry with both Reeves and Peck, and both Tom and Cast were fierce as playing bitter, jealous rivals. But it definitely dragged on, and there was some unnecessary moments like Nina’s miscarriage, and strange plots like the the Jeri lady who was obsessed with Cole, the mysterious psychic, and missed opportunities like a Ryan/Jill one night stand to throw into the mix. The original story was great but by 1997 it was really grasping at straws and of course went in the direction of Tricia and Ashley.

LOL I had figured but saw it was making its way into a couple reliable/reasonable groups. It just had a hint of truth feel to it in regards to Walters and Floyd but Grossman just sounded out their, like someone put their delusion out there to make it reality. 😂

I didn’t know where else to post this but there is currently some unconfirmed posts/rumors running amok amongst Y&R Facebook groups that Susan Walters, Adam Grossman, and Conner Floyd all have been let go……Delusional social media fantasy or not? Major yikes if any of it’s true.

Another daytime legend gone. I know Aniston was on SFT for several years but was he on any other soaps before that? Always enjoyed Victor a lot on Days at lot as one of the town villains on the show and was glad he was still able to make occasional appearances even in this past year. May Aniston RIP he will be missed.

It’s funny on a rival board/group someone mentioned Morina & Griffin have totally lost control of BTS ongoings…this sounds like it confirms the rumor. This show is in a total flux at the moment…Nick & Sally wrapped up quickly, Chelsea hauled off again to the psych ward, Devon & Abby finally have an affair but it’s revealed in a day, Billy and Lily on the verge of breakup after two years, Chance and Abby at the crossroads, Tucker’s arrival, Diane’s story changing, Imani disappearance, Amanda recurring Audra/Noah/Allie now possibly halted altogether, it really begs the question of who or what is in charge over there. This all began after Diane’s return and Rey’s abrupt death.

Well, Devon & Abby are finally given something interesting to do and finally have that hook up that’s been teased for years and years now. MM’s looked stunning in her first scene back, it’s a shame the show really fumbled her talents and we probably won’t get to see too much more of her. And yes, that music was terrible. Where is the long missing 3 A.M. soundtrack piece Y&R use to play for affair music??? I know Devon has a checkered romance history but I don’t think he’s as bad as some of the others. Devon cheated on Roxie and betrayed Neil by sleeping with Tyra and later betrayed Neil by sleeping with Hilary but that’s all I can think except did Devon actually do anything with Mariah during the waning days of his marriage to Hilary? I don’t even remember now. I know Devon had dumped both Roxie and Esmeralda after being revealed as gold diggers. Neil was definitely worse that’s for sure.

Anytime I get to see crazy wicked Joyce is always a delight to myself and she’s probably one of my favorite villainesses I’ve read so much about yet rarely get to see her. I remember this for sure. Unfortunately at this point in the show I had gotten so sick of Julia on the show by the end of 2002 I never wanted to see her again tbh. Julia’s descent into madness was fun to watch but all her returns were terrible especially since we were supposed to find it humorous that Julia raped Jack. At least in 2003 the show had significantly improved to a point where the show was entertaining again even with Hogan at the helm.

ATWT: John & Lisa. In John’s case once he found out he wasn’t Parker’s father, and after Andy left town following Andy faking paralysis John had very little to do. Lisa’s last hurrah was the John vs Lisa story, which was followed by the Martin Chewdyn mess after which she was back burned and minus a short twisted triangle over John with Carly and the magazine expose on her life, by the time Hogan took over Lisa was already fizzling out and Hogan put the final nail in the coffin. B&B: Whenever Thudley gets bored lol more recent examples include Wyatt, Felony Flo, and Quinn Days: Roman hasn’t been relevant in years, especially since his marriage to Kate ended back in 2005. Y&R: Chloe hasn’t been relevant since she first hooked up with Kevin back in 2010. Sharon is becoming irrelevant as she’s never fully recovered from her crazy town days of 2009-2016 and her marrying Rey. Michael hasn’t been relevant since his cancer went into remission.

The Neil flashbacks were great, but it also served as a reminder that Nate, Devon, & Lily really need Olivia and Malcolm around in some fashion. TBH Lily really needs to dump Billy after proclaiming himself as Chelsea’s savior but the show doesn’t do drama. And has the show dropped Imani for good? It would have been juicy for Elena to return only to find Nate and Imani having celebratory sex following Nate getting the Newman CEO position.

Can’t stand Alan lol but I love Sorel so much I may have to force myself to watch. I hope he doesn’t muck it up.

I read the story over on Soap Central, I do wish her the best and it sounds like she was in good spirits from the article I hope she beats it! Oh definitely both Thompson and MCE rose to the occasion. Most of the cast I know can act well and have great moments, but the years of incompetence in the writing department, miscasts, and overall lack of any drama definitely has had a lot of the cast not even trying to save the mediocre material they’re given.

Oh definitely I just got finished watching it myself and it was a great tribute episode! I think the only flashback I wish we had gotten to see again was Sheila, Maggie, and the firepoker lol. And yes I do hope for something bigger soon as well. Isn’t Daniel’s daughter supposed to be Sheila’s granddaughter lol? It would actually be nice to tie up the messy continuity loose ends from the Jack Smith/ Latham/MAB era of trying to write Sheila stories.

It’s all paint by the numbers really. Brooke and Liam hook-up. A devastated Hope hooks up with Thomas, but he has a psychotic break because Thomas thinks his hookup with Hope was imaginary and is locked up in an asylum per Finn’s orders. Hope and Steffy both lean on Finn for support but especially Hope while Thomas is in the asylum. Finn is too sympathetic to Hope’s tribulations and with Hope being too dependent on Finn they embrace and kiss after an emotional conversation in front of Steffy. It’s revealed that Donna has been having a secret love affair all along with another man and has even been still cheating on Eric while pining away for Eric. The man is revealed to be Zach Hamilton. Steffy is distraught by all these turns of events that she goes out, gets heavily drunk and sleeps with a very charming handsome younger man with a fake ID. The man turns out to be Logan Knight. Steffy bemoans the fact the Logans are ruining everything about her life and accuses all of them of sabotage. Hope I didn’t spoil B&B in 2023 too bad….

LOL that’s a great story! Years ago at least back in the 90’s and in the 00’s my mother kept up with the SOD awards and Daytime Emmys even more than I did and all the BTS gossip. She hadn’t for years now but when we watched the virtual 2020 Daytime Emmys together she still knew who was who including Maura West from her ATWT days. Triangles are the only thing Thudley knows how to do, especially when one is blonde and the other is not. At least a Brooke & Liam hookup would be juicy and a long time coming too.

Now that was shocking! I think if Tricia had succeeded in her twisted plan for her and Matt to go all out together in a blaze of glory Thelma & Louise style in that Jeep, it would definitely have been a moment in daytime history still talked about today. Nina shooting herself was also very riveting drama yet difficult and traumatic to watch but it was wonderful to watch her flourish and rebound in the aftermath. But of course that was written by Bell and Alden. I like MCE but as @slick jones said it’s time to send off Chelsea to vacation with Anita for a lonnngggg time.

I had joked about Connor and Johnny being demon seed kids in another thread lol but actually the scenes of them were actually cute, although the dialogue that was written for two preteen boys was horrible lol. The viewer discretion warning at the beginning yet no PSA ending was strange. Chelsea’s unraveling has been a long time coming though, and probably more of a nice reason Chelsea to take a loonnnggggg around the world vacation with her mother after this story is over. For a Friday episode though it was seriously boring overall….I mean half the episode was devoted to Devon and Abby commiserating together….Maybe this show the show needs to also ad a warning about the show inducing narcolepsy as well?

How many proposals is Brooke going to get in one episode?? 🤣 Someone mentioned Vinny lol I still seriously wish that Thudley actually went for broke and have the two hook up for real given their very extremely homoerotic friendship and Vinny’s undying love for Thomas lol. They could be happily married at this point!!!

Yikes that’s more of mess that I remembered myself! Of course this is when we got the Pauly Hardman story along with Buzz & Nadine’s Vegas wedding but there was also Josh & Tangie, Alan’s return with that Howie/Ross impersonator guy, a Alan/Tangie/A-M triangle with Lucy in the mix, Ed & Eve, Dusay Alex vs. Crampton Mindy, and saying sayonara to Kat in favor of Gabriela with David getting married to her? The second Fifth Street fire was a ploy for ratings by that point and the show was dragging.

Same here for the most part. I did feel the show to seriously start to lose its way following Clara’s messy resolution and concluding River’s story but at least it was written for. The less said about poor Bill though the better IMO. Stuff like the Fugitive Doctor has interesting potential but not executed well once written on screen, which I think sums up the last 4-5 years of the show. I am excited for the future though so I haven’t given up entirely. BTW nice analysis of comparison to what I mentioned. Chibnall has always struck me as JNT 2.0 especially when he’s in his feelings…

Oh definitely no doubt about that lol. 10 years later and I’m still wondering why so much time was spent during the Moffatt era on the mystery of Trenzalore and the Doctor’s name LOL.

Thanks @Vee! I’ll probably watch the whole thing tonight on BBCA. I really had wanted Jodie to succeed but instead we got some of the worst writing and decision making since the JNT/Seward era in the mid 80’s and a silly retcon that pretty much annihilated continuity as we knew it.
