  1. **Holden? We have Damian and of course Lily, but now we have a Holden? Obviously JG has been watching mid-90’s episodes of ATWT on YouTube @Paul Raven @kalbir😂 The twist ending of Holden & Damian has me definitely intrigued now, and I liked the mystery and dynamic between the two as they stayed one step ahead of Nate while Nate was also correctly guessing their next move. Agree with all of this. I really enjoyed Monday & Tuesday’s episodes and the sort of surrogate family dynamic that is developing between Nate, Audra, and Amy, especially between Amy and Audra. Tuesday’s ep has Amy tell a nice heart warming and touching story about Damian’s first cat which gives the story a nice human touch in the aftermath of two psychotics run amok last month. Hahaha it’s classic Victor for sure, but as for JG’s new “Romeo & Juliet” it seems to me that nobody cares Kyle & Claire dating other than Victor. I think Summer only barely cares because she doesn’t want to lose her precedence and status as Harrison’s adopted mother to Claire. Graz was fantastic in Monday’s scenes. Actually Tuesday’s scenes between MS and SC actually worked as well. Hahahaha well we had Victor *pretend* to call Abby last week but Victor didn’t do it and gave Ian a flimsy excuse that he would never put Abby in danger (yet had no qualms about beckoning Adam lol). But yes Abby wasn’t even dragged in again. Remember the first time Jordan held them hostage and Abby was all like “Oh I like to stay out of the loop with the Newmans!” It has become a running gag other than the Ranch reveal and 13000th episode week. And with MO on recurring it will stay that way.
  2. Thanks for the tag @Taoboi I’m caught up for last week now myself. I really enjoyed the climax as well from Thursday’s and Friday’s episodes. There’s a part of me that kind of wished this got stretched out enough to coincide with BTG’s premiere week but it’s fine we’re getting resolution here as well with this. Man CZ killed it though last week for Jordan’s swan song. I was surprised she drank the tea. And yes finally it was good to see HE with her edge back. SC was also MVP for last week I was so thrilled by her self-survival instincts. I too like the addition of FINALLY having extras around…the two male wait staff reacting in confusion of seeing Mariah yell at Ian in Society was a nice touch. Also I was thoroughly pleased by the scenes of Jack, Billy, Sally, and Diane. I agree it definitely added a nice old school Bell touch and showed outside of the Big A storyline life goes on. For once I liked the Billy scenes as he wasn’t a stark raving maniac like he usually is and was more grounded. I haven’t been a fan of Billy & Sally be thrust upon us but those scenes were sweet. I don’t know if it was @slick jones or @Paul Raven who said it but it would be nice if we could get some old school Y&R romance scenes, something JG doesn’t write well at all unfortunately just shoves pairings around and plays musical chairs except for Jack & Diane.
  3. @Taoboi about to dive into the Y&R eps from this week anything I should look and anything I should skip lol? Kind of excited to see HE revert to trim form as Claire.
  4. 😆 My own grandma is OBSESSED with watching Muir every night. I’ve always pegged him as an overrated phony drama queen though.
  5. LOL! I remember CBS pimped Glor out as the new David Muir. CBS Evening News has been cursed since the late 80’s. Some blame it on Dan Rather, some blame it on passing over Roger Mudd, the “What’s the frequency Kenneth?!!?” Incident, Connie Chung etc. etc. It’s strange though 60 Minutes has still be one of the most watched TV programs for decades now while shows like CBS Sunday Morning and Face the Nation remain popular yet CBS has had trouble with the evening news and until the past couple years, the morning program.
  6. I’m sorry it didn’t work out for her but I thought it was a good run, much better than Pelley & Glor, though I’m in the minority on that one https://www.cbsnews.com/video/norah-odonnells-final-sign-off-from-cbs-evening-news/
  7. Well said!! I also still own my original Bedknobs & Broomsticks VHS tape as well as the restored version on DVD. 🙂
  8. At this point I would rather have had Luna have a twin sister named Soleil, Sunny or some sort of counter name if they were to keep the actress that the nonsense that is coming our way. Also:
  9. The show is up for renewal in the Spring (They didn’t get Y&R’s cushy surprise renewal through 2028 last year) so it’ll be interesting to see what CBS does this year. Really the only way for B&B to survive is for Thudley to pass on the reins.
  10. OMG thank you as always @DRW50 for the tags!!
  11. Sounds good here! I can’t wait to see Beyond the Gates’ first ever monthly discussion thread, even if it doesn’t start til the the 24th.
  12. Ewww Ugh I don’t want to see that…I can see Steffy now screaming at Poppy about how dare she slept with her underage virginal husband at the time 🤣 The last couple of years Scott Clifton has always overacted with over exaggerated expressions. Basically Liam reminds me of a Tex Avery cartoon character.
  13. LOL unless Jack and Poppy are gaslighting Li I’m beginning to suspect that Thudley will give us “Surprise! Luna is Bill’s after all!” right as Luna tried to seduce Will or kiss Bill again. Gross.🤢
  14. Thank you! Even though next month will be the 23rd anniversary of that occurring, it still stings when I see something like this occur. Unfortunately it’s still a massive taboo. Seems for almost everyone I know who passed in their 30’s, bearing car accidents and at least one victim of COVID, I always seem to discover that suicide or drug use was involved which is unfortunate. The recent daytime Star losses of Anne Heche, Tyler Christopher and Bill Miller compound this of stars in trouble and not getting adequate help.
  15. This Body & Soul crap is DREADFUL isn’t it? None of it works and it’s all so unnecessary for an umbrella story. Like WTF. @AbcNbc247 I’m beginning to believe that this Body & Soul stuff was the final straw…we’ll probably see some offensive blatant Ken Corday parody in which is why RC was fired lol. 😂 I feel sorry for the actor playing Javi having to kiss GR’s Leo lol. Since when is Leo a zaddy? 🤣 And did Bonnie really do an elevator fall L.A. Law style? LOL.
  16. Thanks again for the synopsis as I know I enjoyed the that era too, at least from May 2009- at least February 2011 or so when the show gave us Faux Rafe/Arnold (funny he’s back now), the whole Taylor/Fay debacle, and Chloe the hooker with the inexplicable Vivian’s beloved but never mentioned son Quinn. Although Sonny’s introduction was definitely a highlight at the time. I recall I was indifferent to Dario mainly because it seemed fruitless at the time especially on the heels of losing Ariana just as she finally became interesting as well as losing the original Gabi. MarDar was a fatal blow to me because once EJ and Sami slept together again later on in 2011 I was so repulsed I tuned it out, regardless of Will’s reaction.
  17. It’s awful….I had an uncle who committed suicide in an eerily similar fashion that Robin Willimas would later do over 20 years ago. Stuff like this always always triggers that memory all over again. 😢😭
  18. There is an only a few CBS stations that still air the lineup slightly out of order, with KRQE, KUTV, KIRO and I think the Idaho stations were still out of whack last time looked. Unfortunately I don’t think any station airs Y&R as late as 4 anymore, the last ones that did moved the show to regular timeslot several years ago. Syndication is very expensive especially during the daytime these days, so it’s interesting that affiliates now crave network programming where as historically we know a lot of them didn’t and would pre-empt some soaps and game shows.
  19. Sorry to hear of his passing, may he RIP. I had to look up who he was on B&B…and it all came rushing back to me of a story I had actually blocked in my head as Sheila’s goon during the painting story. Thanks @dc11786 for the memories as well, by the time Dario was on screen in 2011 the show was completely unmoored and unraveling fast.
  20. LOL. NBC did a similar with Betty White in like ‘87 or ‘88, hence White popping up on AW as some long lost love interest of Mac’s, and then some additional random roles on SB and Days as some campaign.
  21. That’s probably what happened. I also read Gus had additional kids but never made it to the final cut either. Good luck I think you will like it! It’s become my 2nd favorite primetime soap after Knots.
  22. Oh goodness that interview has me ever more excited now! I can’t wait to watch this!!
  23. Interesting tidbit that there was actually supposed to be an additional Channing son in the show’s story bible that never made it to the screen: Timothy Channing was to be another son of Angie and Duncan (Douglas). Originally intended to be an editor at his father's newspaper, later character outlines meant him to be a San Francisco attorney and be groomed for political office there. In the course of the following episodes, he was to marry a San Francisco socialite, Geri Cook. Both characters were parts of the early script drafts, in particular for the party scene at Angie's Chateau, but did not make it to the final version of the predecessor. Both Timothy and Geri were completely erased from the show's bible when the predecessor was revamped into "Falcon Crest". I wonder where he would’ve fit in at? I can imagine him if he was working at the New Globe he would be feuding with Richard in S2 and being protective of Emma and Maggie. I also could see him be chummy with Chase much to Angela’s dismay but also have zero interest in the wine business because he’s more interested in journalism. Not sure about Geri…a supportive wife until she sleeps someone like Greg Reardon? Or Lance?
  24. I wish I could’ve seen the era of veiled Vanessa firsthand. Definitely one of the most interesting stories I’ve ever read about on any soap ever.
