Same here. I am loving the nuRHONY, and I didn't expect to. I of course miss my RHONY originals and can't wait to see them soon (though I feel like im over Dorinda), but sonething about this new show's lightness appeals to me at this moment in time. The women have revealed their flaws, and that's what makes them interesting to me. I love Ubah and against my will am warming to Brynn, of all people. Like Miami, I sort of wish I could jump on the next episode immediately after watching a current one.

I find Sai and Erin so deeply unlikable it affects my enjoyment of the show. And I don’t care for Brynn the majority of the time.

    Miami is here!!!!

I need LVP to speak out. I would once everything aired. Ain't no way she'd get away with leading the charge against me when it all panned out to be true.

That Miami trailer is EVERYTHING. This is the show I’ve been waiting on!

    RHONY

Sai is the most off putting housewife. I legit groan when she’s onscreen. There’s just nothing likeable about her personality at all. KErin sucks too.

As predicted, Hayley Erin’s debut fell completely flat. The character is a generic basic bitch, and Erin looks and acts so generic too. I haven’t seen anything this basic since Kelly Sullivan was on the show. This is a contract role?

I remember her being bland but this was extra levels of not popping off the screen at all. I don’t really see where we need this type of character on canvas.

That’s a huge admission for you. You don’t like much about these current shows aside from the torso parade lol. Or at least you don’t say it.

They almost salvaged Sally with the Adam pairing, but JG said nope! Nothing on this show should actually work. Let me fûck this [!@#$%^&*] up.

It’s actually impressive how badly they messed her whole tenure up when her story could have written itself. She could have been a scrappier, street-fighter version of how they are now writing Audra. She’s the freakin’ namesake of Darlene Conley’s character!

But from the poorly written Jack story with the enormous age gap they never addressed, to the asinine Summer rivalry where she actually got Summer *a better job* yet was still subjected to humiliation day after day from Phyllis and the rest of the town, to the stupid rivalry with Chelsea, to her dumb WTD story, it’s been a disaster.

Oh god you just reminded me of how awful the writing for Sally has been from the start. I had completely erased the relationship with Jack which for whatever reason, the huge age gap was never addressed.

Sally and Adam were truly great and they ruined them as fast as they put them together. Josh then has spent the better part of the year having Sally basically detest Adam until she randomly likes him for a day. And it’s supposed to be compelling story. Not to mention Adam and Nick continuing this weird [!@#$%^&*] where they must screw the same women forever.

So happy we’re getting JW in person as Jill instead of more cell phone calls.

I personally have no issues with JT as Billy. He does the best with the material that’s given to him. I never saw the teen years of Billy and the longest Billy I saw before JT was Billy Miller who honestly was hit or miss for me.

We’re so blessed to be getting this and Married at the same time.

Wow, Heather effortlessly ate up Tamra last night without breaking a sweat. The other ladies really are complete dumbasses for how they let Tamra so easily do the same [!@#$%^&*] over and over.

Yeah, the start of this secret buyer story has been intriguing. And I am going to assume it's really Mamie and silently cheer.

I continue to love to see Nikki in Boss mode. It was a rush to see her stay with her heel on Kyle and Audra's necks. I have no sympathy for Kyle at the moment so Team Nikki on that cuz...justified or not...he's been a prick since the breakup from Summer. And as for Audra...she shouldn't have started with Nikki at their dinner so I enjoyed Nikki wiping the smirk right off of Audra's face.

I give credit where credit is due. I did like Phyllis figuring out the company Tucker was after and turning the screws to him.

I am sad to see Jack and Billy falling out. I can't believe how this double agent story with Billy is going. And I wish Ashley was around, but it is what it is.

Angry Victor was LOVE. I'm over whiny Victoria, too.

The Abbott siblings just seemingly refuse to ever stay on the same page for more than 5 minutes.

Very true about Ric/Skye.  They did have prominence, but there was a clear push and pull between JFP and the writing for both characters.  They would never win against the big four but were also shoehorned into primary families to be relevant, although they never exactly fit on canvas they were given lots of story.  I'll be honest and say I don't really get the Ric Hearst love either.   I thought Ric was an absolute awful character that I had to deal with far too long.  I did like him when he was first introduced and they seem to be hinting he was related to Lily and the early part of his pairing with Liz.  I just think Ric is a character that should have caused some havoc in Sonny's world and left.  I am not sure what stopped the Ric/Skye pairing, but I do think at some point JFP lost any power over Guza and that's when both characters faded away.  Like I said earlier, I wouldn't be opposed to a Skye visit and her bringing Lila Rae to town today.

I loved me some Jax/Brenda.  Even as a Sonny/Brenda diehard I adored the J&B pairing.  I always felt 2002 ruined them for me.  Between Jax dumping Skye and then him pressuring Brenda to marry him right away then leaving her at the actual altar it was just an awful look for Jax.  I actually think Jax came out the biggest loser in the entire return.

I will take no Ric slander 😂😂. He was my favorite character on the show. But man they always made sure to make him a loser.

Idk, I feel like I don't see any of the old Phillip shining through.  To me he is acting like he is not ready to be out in the real world at all let alone make a play for Chloe.  I thought JPL's Phillip was pretty much universally reviled so I am surprised anyone likes it.

He’s not playing Phillip to me at all. I don’t feel any of the connections he’s supposed to have. But I also skipped most of his first run as Phillip. JKJ will always be Phillip to me.

Also Rafe made me laugh today because finally someone in Salem pointed out that people coming back from the dead in Salem isn’t all that uncommon.

Mary is totally loathsome. Lazy, demanding, and foul tempered. However, it's hilarious because she seems to get along well with production and whatever deal they cut, everyone is in agreement. Going to McDonalds while the rest of them sweated it out in the Palm Springs bar in full drag makeup? Perfection.

Angie K is a loser and Little Girl is right behind her in the pathetic sweepstakes. Little Girl is looking for conflict wherever she can find it and none of it is logical.

Lisa having a meltdown about her makeup was something to behold.

Little Girl has become obsessed with trying to start [!@#$%^&*] with Meredith this season and it’s so transparent. Even after 4 seasons Whitney still hasn’t figured out how to be a housewife.

I totally agree with your points that both men are popular actors, and it makes sense from a business perspective to promote what the audience favors, even though it can feel heavy-handed.

I guess what I am reacting to, and get tired of hearing, are criticism that focus only on the head writer.  He is one part of a large machine, and it grates on my nerves when fans assume his motives are lewd.  Especially when we now know that there were other forces behind the scenes that were much more egregious.

Again, please note that I don't mean to disrespect our little community.  It just feels reductive.  There's enough on-screen to critique that I don't find it necessary to create false narratives about the headwriter's motives being anything else than wanting to draw the highest ratings possible.  And, if you are reading this and thinking that you don't imply about the writer's intentions when you post, then this is obviously not meant toward you.  But, you wouldn't have to scroll back very far to find examples of what I am talking about.

Comparing PT’s writing to the writing RSW got as Ben and then a whole new character for him to play to keep the actor on canvas is ridiculous to me. If you don’t understand the obvious favoritism this man and his characters have received under RC, I don’t know what to tell you. Xander is called out about his awful behavior constantly. With Ben you were literally considered a villain for calling him a serial killer. They literally turned one of his victims into his biggest apologist along with the character’s grandmother. And when the actress of his love interest wouldn’t commit to the show long term, they literally gave him a legacy character and just retconned history to make him even more of a legacy character. Choosing to ignore all of this because you don’t like how some fans have phrased it is absurd.

If you've ever watched a show head written by RC, this is literally nothing new. It started with the Ford character/actor on OLTL.

Mary literally came back to say I hate these women and not participate and it’s the most hilarious thing ever.

Angie K is so damn thirsty, it’s pathetic.

Monica has to stop whining about being broke when she wouldn’t be broke if she didn’t [!@#$%^&*] her brother in law for 18 months.

  13. DAYS

I’ve stopped watching multiple times through the years but the two most recent times were:

Abby as Gabby while Stefan was banging her knowing she was mentally ill. I already suffered through this with RC as the writer on OLTL. I had no interest in doing it again.

Also Abby’s murder. It was so short sighted just because they couldn’t lock down either actress. The dumbest reason ever to kill off legacy character when there are recasts walking around town.

Holy sh*t Erin jumped the shark tonight. She is a younger, dumber, more entitled, and less hard working Ramona. The white fragility is strong with this one.

She was literally crying to her father that Ubah confronting her was the "meanest" thing she's ever experienced. And THEN she talks about the childhood trauma of having a "long jaw" and being called "Long Jaw Silver" in school...this woman hasn't experienced anything bad in her life. Nothing. She really thought she was going to garner sympathy with all of that?

I was amazed tbh. One forum I read only calls her Kerin now 😂
