I've watched Y&R for decades, and I always assumed that Victor and Nikki were egotistical enough to name their children after themselves - so colour me shocked to learn that's not the case!

I honestly always thought the exact same thing.

Lauren Koslow is now on recurring, according to @JAS0N47. She was consecutively on contract the longest. Josh Taylor, having been continuously on contract since 2004, takes that distinction, which makes it even sadder. It'll be interesting to see if this changes when Albert Alarr is officially gone.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! My LK/Kate loving heart can’t handle this.

I can’t believe this show made Nina’ Webster’s son so boring, although the character was pretty boring when John Driscoll played him too.

Oh how he was dreadfully boring back then too. The only Chance actor I’ve seen actually have some sort of spark was Temp-Chance played by MO’s husband.

    Amen. Monica obliterated Lisa.

Admittedly, I have never understood the appeal of Lisa or how she garnered the nickname ‘Fabulous Ice’ on this board because all I see is a self centred, dumb, whiney woman with a penchant for junk food and overpriced diamonds.

She made an ass of herself at Whitney’s Tupperware style jewellery event. Monica is not afraid of her and she’s right that there are parallels between Monica’s mother and Lisa.

    Meredith did nothing this episode.

Cute scene for Heather’s daughter and her prom date.

Angie was very measured this episode and that fairness is a good trait in real life, but so hard to handle as a Housewife.

This was actually the first episode I’ve enjoyed Angie. She didn’t come off as thirsty and desperate.

Gotta agree that EOB is not working as Theresa.

She's awful in the role. Just awful.

I truly have no idea what she’s going for in the role outside of desperately don’t play Gwen. But it’s an awful take as Theresa especially after the original was just on canvas. I will never understand why they couldn’t just hire a non on canvas actress to take over if they didn’t want to work with Jen Lilley.

I realize the Nate fan club is small because he's done so many shady things.

But I still don't understand the "You go, Victor!!" posts from people so happy that he fired Nate. None of that story made any sense to me.

As a doctor, wasn't Nate thinking of what was best for Victor? Wasn't he thinking more like a doctor than a guy wanting to take over a company? And what would have been Nate's move to support Victor?

Victor set Nate up -- completely. Isn't that a more dangerous and pathetic move for a CEO, not forgetting the fact that he put his family through all this?

We're supposed to see Victor as a man on top of his game, but instead, Josh Griffith painted him as a guy who should be put away.

I just got to Victor firing Nate and I’m truly at a loss for words. Nate used his previous medical experience to create a plan of action for Victor’s health and he instead fires him? Couldn’t he have just fired Nate months ago instead of putting his children through this? This is definitely one of the stupidest Victor stories in awhile. He’s just sitting in his office yelling at his family for worrying about him. Just rest the rest whole Newman clan at this point.

Also Abby was on the same episode and she has no idea anything could’ve potentially been wrong with her dad and none of her siblings bothered to tell her.

I am SICK of seeing this damn Mugler bodysuit on every show every season. Did Bravo get an endorsement deal or something? Phaedra on here LYING as usual. Now she dating an emoji? She and Bravo need to be slapped for this

Dr. G looks GOOD. He seems happy too. Tea is ALOT but I think I like her country azz. Quad who? Tea looks like she could be Toya's country cousin. I like her energy and how unapolgetically honest she is. Plus she is MARRIED to medicine so she alright with me

I like Dr. Alicia so far but I dont get why she didnt get an introduction. They are doing her no favors with that

Heavenly STAY messy. She apologized for calling Quad a hoe at the reunion but the first epsiode back she is insinuating she sleeps with taken men. Huh? She was also wrong for the fight she started with Simone. She gonna get smacked one of these days by the wrong one and she will have deserved it

Heavenly needs to be slapped yesterday. That mess she tried to create between Simone and Jackie was such bull.

Pump it directly into my veins. I have missed our girls so much.

And as I thought, Ramona has been edited out of it within an inch of her life.

I couldn’t be more excited. I got more from this promo than the entire season of the reboot.

You might be right.  I could have sworn EM's Brady and Nicole have discussed it, but they may have only talked about it.  Nicole may not have been drinking.  I just remember she was drinking in the morning at some points and characters commented on it.  I don't know if it's forgotten, but I do sort of like the idea that characters go through up and downs and sometimes go on benders.  Shawn's alcoholism felt so out of the blue to me.

I definitely remember Nicole’s drinking being a topic of convo at some point. I did originally enjoy drunk Nicole quite a bit if she was sparring with Kate or Sami.

When people in Salem randomly decide to get married that day, in their living room (where someone was shot a few weeks ago) - are we to assume that they all just have a closet filled with wedding dresses (including maternity options)?

And just for consistency’s sake, now that Gabi & Stefon are going to torture Li for his vote, when is this board meeting, and what are they trying to achieve?

I genuinely don’t know why running DiMera is so important to these people. They all live rent free in a mansion and I imagine could make millions at any high level position in this company that we have no idea what it does.

ITA. Audra is one of the highlights on the show for me, mostly due to the actress and how she elevates the material she's given. You never quite know whose side Audra is really on, perhaps just her own!

It would be fascinating to find out what in her past made her to be the woman that she. The actress is Latina, and I think it would be wise for the writer's to slowly build a family around her and add more diversity. Newmans and Abbotts have married each other so many times that they're practically one family now.

Agree as well, Audra is one of the few reasons to still watch the show.

  12. Watching today’s episode after Nick finds everything out and I’m still so baffled by this Victor storyline. Victor out of boredom, demoted two of his children to lesser roles and then began to fake dementia to see which one of them he pissed off enough to turn on him, even though they rightfully should. This is absurd.

First of all, I am truly honored you mistook me for DaytimeFan!

    Joan Collins GIFs | Tenor

Secondly, I get what you mean. The cast has been practically the same for the past four seasons and it needs juujing. Although I like that The Coven is without two of its most virulent henchwomen and is now, finally, on the back foot. I see Dorit, Kyle and Erika ALL came hot out of the gate this episode to earn their spot. By contrast, we saw approximately zilch of Crystal, and Sutton was more or less reduced to horse talk.

I'm going to give it to Potomac -- they at least tried with those taglines. Moreover, it pains me to say it, but Gizelle and Robyn's were actually the standouts.

    Ashley: something-something gold-digger.

    Wendy: something-something professor.

Yes, that first return was incredible. Kristen's romance with Brady, her sexual assault of Eric, Victor and Marlena blowing up the wedding, Kristen and Marlena's confrontation - it was an umbrella storyline that enhanced the show incredibly. And yes, it won Eileen her first Emmy.

It totally reinvigorated the show so naturally they squandered the next return by putting her in Daniels orbit 🤦🏽‍♂️

  15. Lord is Phyllis falling for Danny again?!

They keep covering the same ground. Mark Grossman is solid but if this is what they brought Adam back for, it wasn’t worth it. They need to move them off the hamster wheel or consider taking some of them off canvas if they can’t find other things for them to do. It’s boring.

I’d be fine resting all of them except Nikki.
