  1. Yikes, Thiem goes out to Sam Effin' Querrey.
  2. I know. I almost had a heart attack watching that. One of the most intense tiebreakers I've watched. Too bad Kohlschreiber wilted in that third set.
  3. Djokovic avenges his Olympics loss to Delpo in three tight sets.
  4. It'll be interesting. Neither played their best in their opening round matches, but they came through when it counted. I can't imagine Novak wants a repeat of the Rio Olympics match.
  5. I love Delpo, but I so wanted that win for Tiafoe. In the end, experience prevailed, but Tiafoe can take comfort that he gave the big man a run for his money. He has tons of potential to go far, but he doesn't get nearly the hype of some of his American peers. Hmm, wonder why...
  6. As entertaining as this Delpo/Tiafoe match has been, I'd have loved to have seen Sock take his ass-whupping.
  7. Nishioka just beat Jack Sock in three sets. Wonder what happened there. And, wow, Tiafoe is going toe-to-toe with Delpo. Some truly amazing shots, reflexes, and athleticism.
  8. Tomic is a loser. A waste of talent. Watching the Tiafoe/Delpo match. Frances is built like a brick sh!thouse and has ass for days. He's 19 so I don't feel creepy about it.
  9. Djokovic made it through in the end, thank goodness, but man, if he gets Delpo in the next round, he's going to have to play a hell of lot better than that. So many errors. His movement was off too. I say this with love, but get yo sh!t together, Nolé.
  10. Milos withdrew ahead of the Delray Beach final so Jack wins the title in a walkover.
  11. Kay Alden went fi-core during the strike back in 2007-2008 so I suppose it's conceivable she could step in should a new strike happen?
  12. Slight tangent, but apparently there may be another writers' strike on the horizon. http://deadline.com/2017/02/writers-guild-america-contract-talks-approach-wga-members-ready-for-strike-1201989113/
  13. Delpo, definitely. But whoever wins, I'm rooting for against Jock Sack the dudebro.
  14. Haha. Ruud just completely ran out of gas and got his ass handed to him by Carreno Busta. But a lot to admire with his game, and he's only 18.
  15. This Casper Ruud kid from Norway seems pretty amazing. How was he not on anyone's radar?
  16. Issa's district is a swing district so I'm sure he's feeling the heat.
  17. Thanks. I was struggling to think of someone acceptable who might pass muster with TPTB. Therein lies the problem. If not Sally, who would be better for the show? I haven't been that impressed with Sally, but I just don't know of a better option so I'm trying to remain patient. It's tough, you know. You look at those 18-34 ratings, and they are just horrid across the board. There's no future with those ratings. All of TV, broadcast and cable, daytime and primetime, is dealing with serious audience erosion due to changing viewing habits. Everyone is living on borrowed time,
  18. I love him. I know he'll never be as beloved as Fedal, and some people find him a bit too thirsty for cheers from the crowd. But I admire his grit and how he transformed his career and maintained his success while never getting the adulation and validation he deserved over the years. And like Serena, I still see him as something of an underdog even though, at his best, he's unbeatable. I hope he just deals with whatever monkey's on his back. There are still milestones to achieve for him.
  19. Yeah. It's tough when Milos can servebot his way out of trouble. Happy to see Delpo get his revenge on Querrey.
  20. I don't typically watch doubles either outside of the Olympics or Venus/Serena. But I do love me some Rendy. I wish I played tennis. I might invest in some lessons here in NYC.
  21. Yeah, they look pretty dire. I'm just scared for the next person. I suppose they could go for Marlene McPherson. People seemed to like her on DAYS and AMC, but I'm not that familiar with her work. If they go for a Higley type, I'll just go back to ignoring Y&R again.
  22. Leander Paes and Rendy Lu dismiss the Bryan brothers in Delray Beach. Rendy really held his own amongst the veterans. And Rendy is totally
  23. Yeah, Darcis tweeted it. He withdrew for "personal reasons."
