No doubt a tough draw on paper but in 2020, with those players, he could see a lot of good breaks. He’ll have to be sharp from the jump, so hopefully he’s completely healthy.

Outside of drawing Rafa in the semis, admittedly bad enough on its own, I don’t think it’s *that* bad. Worse than the other top players, but still. Cilic is a tough out and has played Dominic close, but on clay? Opelka? Stan’s form is a big question. Ruud is a solid clay courter, but on Thiem’s level? Will Schwartzman have enough in the tank?

This show is a shambles. Lots of production mistakes (cuts to empty chairs where people should be, cameramen stumbling into frame). And Tyra has no rapport with the judges, dancers, and stars. She was practically shooing Artem out of her shot when he appeared to give the update on Kaitlyn. She’s trying to steal the spotlight on a show that’s by definition an ensemble piece. There’s zero time for the judges’ comments yet time for Tyra’s inane questions.

Sad to hear about Pamela Hutchinson. I also grew up loving their music. “What Do the Lonely Do at Christmas?” is heartbreaking. Last night, the Emmys did one of the best In Memoriam sequences I’ve seen, with photos of most of the celebrities superimposed over the familiar sets that made them famous:
