  1. Y&R missed a golden opportunity not casting her originally as Gloria Fisher. As good as Joan Van Ark was in that role, I feel like Donna had the ability to make that character an integral part to the show's continued success. And I still cannot believe Michele Lee is joining a web series. If this can happen, though, then I'm keeping hope alive for Constance McCashin's grand return to acting (and to television) with a role as a medical examiner or attorney on a procedural series.
  2. Frankly, I'd love to see a modern-day continuation of KNOTS where Seaview Circle has all-new residents. Characters from the "old" series could make cameo appearances as stories dictate, but I feel like trying to continue the (mis-)adventures of Abby, Karen, Mack, Gary & Val, and others would be a big mistake.
  3. Michele Lee is on a web series? I hope they didn't pay her scale.
  4. Erica is now terrified of testifying. She begins to drink and take tranquilizers and eventually collapses and is rushed to hospital. Don't tell me that Betty Ford b.s. was actually AMC's way of honoring history?! Oh, man!
  5. Who you callin' a ho?!
  6. IIRC, OLTL made a small dent in the ratings, but not by much.
  7. Because no one could pronounce his name properly.
  8. No doubt, they were afraid of ending up on some "no-fly" enemies list. Although, to be honest, having Baba Wawa banned from flying would make my freaking day.
  9. I think so, too. Unless Sally Sussman wanted to throw everyone for a real loop and have her play Doreen Jackson.
  10. That's standard behavior for Baba Wawa, I'm afraid. One interview with Anwar Sadat, and bitch thinks she OWNS everything.
  11. It's said lots of times for a wide range of people, but I think it's definitely true for Larry Lau: somewhere, in that man's attic, is a portrait that ages as he doesn't.
  12. Normally, I'm opposed to turning "white hats" into "black hats" (see Clint's devolution). In Larry's case, though, I would have made the exception, no matter how much they'd have to convolute the story to make it plausible. Anything, just as long as it had extended his shelf life, for lack of a better term. OLTL needed as many ties to its pre-Rauch history as it could afford.
  13. Save, of course, for that encounter he had with the brick wall when he couldn't save Megan. (Way to drive home the obvious, Mikey Malone.)
  14. It is shameful how Michael Storm and Larry just sort of faded into the woodwork. Once Paul Rauch marginalized him, it became that much easier for successive regimes not to include him much; and when it looked as if they might have an opportunity to rectify that situation, too, it was a case of "too little, too late," as Storm had relocated to Glendale, CA and TPTB weren't willing to spring for the extra plane fare. What I can't understand, though, is why Storm refused even to consider taking a role on another soap, even a West Coast one. Yes, Larry Wolek was a special guy, but I feel like his fans have been punished in a way, because he remains so loyal to a show that, quite frankly, was not worth it.
  15. Wow, he looks incredibly handsome to me in that photo!
  16. And yet, as graphic as it was, they stopped short of actually raping Ben. I don't know WHAT to make of THAT decision.
  17. Thanks for the article with Marland and L. Virginia Browne! Such an awesome read!
  18. And he continues to be wasted, IMO. Seriously, I almost think JER did him a favor by writing him out, because Victor had become so marginalized it wasn't even funny.
  19. IMO, stories about secret vaccines, formulas and the like don't work, because the story soon becomes more about the formula than about the human emotions that must go on as it is being hidden, located, and/or exposed to the public.
  20. Nah, the hair isn't nearly red enough.
  21. For a minute, I thought she was Courtney Simon.
  22. I like Tom Phillips' statement at the end of the article. I also think Irna was one of those who never demanded more from others than she demanded from herself. In my book, that's integrity.
  23. Deedee Pfeffier? LOL!
  24. What happened to the Presleys? I can't play that video on this particular computer.
