  1. Looks as if they took your advice, @Vee!
  2. If I had known Marla Gibbs was going to appear again as Florence, I might have watched, lol. (But seriously. The airdate had completely slipped my mind.)
  3. Despite its' MANY flaws, CAPITOL is probably the ONLY short-lived soap that I love and miss to this day.
  4. Once again, it's a sad day when George W. Bush makes you look like a damn fool.
  5. Some folks just refuse to look ahead.
  6. I'm sure others would disagree, but I would love to see Eure back as Mike. At the very least, DAYS would be able to use more old clips as flashbacks.
  7. I'm surprised he didn't say "A speedwagon?"
  8. Who needed "Game of Thrones," when we have the ongoing debate over whether to impeach our sitting president? I agree that too many people who are demanding that Congress begin impeachment proceedings are reacting on pure outrage (and a need for vengeance) and nothing more. It's unfortunate that we, as a nation, have far too much to lose should this end in failure (and it WILL end in failure, mark my words) but that's where this administration and the GOP have brought us. Attempting to impeach Trump now or at any other time, rather than simply doing whatever we can to vote him and the rest of the Republican Party out of office come 2020, just isn't worth it.
  9. Too bad Doug Marland and Pat Falken Smith never collaborated on anything. I think they might have made a terrific duo.
  10. Yep. I was very pissed about that, too. Fortunately, she was closer to her true self on her subsequent returns (although the damage was probably done).
  11. Now THAT is how it's done, ladies and gentlemen. When God has blessed and enriched your life, literally as well as figuratively, you honor that by reaching out and reaching down and paying it forward. God bless Mr. Smith for doing what he should in his position to free some of our AA brothers and sisters from the economic slavery that has become student loan debt. I pray those graduates 1) put their degrees to good use and 2) follow his example by helping others in the years to come.
  12. One thing I've learned from listening to Mama Khan talk about the BTS doings at her church: Black women always follow the money. Always. (WOC just might save us again.) Bernie's pandering ass can kiss mine.
  13. Stuart Damon and Leslie Charleson looked so gorgeous and sophisticated BITD.
  14. Wasn't Brenda supposed to have gone away to acting school in the UK? Whatever became of THAT plot thread?
  15. You know, I have no idea what "Teddy" was short for? That's a good question. "Eddie" might have been okay. "Theo" reminds me too much of Theo Huxtable, lol. And Ted, although it would make the most sense, comes across as too preppy for the kind of teenager Ryder was supposed to be.
  16. But, the thing is, even with all the stuff coming out about him, Biden stands the best chance, IMO, of us getting Trump out of the WH. As much as I love Harris and Warren (and some others), their chances feel more iffy.
  17. Bill Bell sure loved to drop those plots, lol.
  18. You know, I get that no teenaged boy wants to be called "Teddy," but "Ryder" had to be one of the STUPIDEST names any character on this show ever had.
  19. Yep. No, they're at McKay's, I think.
  20. Richard Culliton wasn't a perfect HW by any means, but he seemed to be the last HW to "get" ATWT.
  21. AMC in its' beautiful prime.
  22. Agree! It could be a "Big Chill"/"thirtysomething" kind of thing, only soapier!
  23. I'd still vote for him over Trump. Yes, indeed, living under the Trump Administration has reduced me to this.
  24. Patricia Heaton's in ANOTHER series? For [!@#$%^&*]'s sake!
  25. You are so right. Bills such as these are designed to punish poor women and girls (and WOC) for getting pregnant out of wedlock. Pure and simple.
