  1. Sorry to go off-topic: is Peter Bergman a close friend of Brian Cranston!??? i was stunned to see Will & Grace’s Sean Hayes post a bunch of celebrity pics of who visited him for his celebrated New York stage run in “Goodnight Oscar” - and Peter Bergman was the only soap star in those pics - along with Loving vet Cranston.
  2. Im sure this will surprise EVERYONE 😜 Kimberlin Brown as a matter of fact I almost fainted when she replied me on Instagram once, so maybe I would be brave enough for an actual encounter now. Lol
  3. Woohoo. Thank you so much!!!
  4. My best guess as well. Although in this case it's probably that Brad Bell realized that Corett is still super handsome and is loved by all his former Y&R peers. Therefore he offered him a role...
  5. Interesting. I always thought Ivy was a complete retcon and never mentioned before...
  6. Nice! She should be on the show fulltime.
  7. Aww - I'm tempted for a rewatch of the entire BB/BCS world just reading this. THE LEFTOVERS - Season 1 - not exactly sure what I'm seeing but it is amazing. Great acting and fascinating writing. HOMELAND - Just finished the Brody years and started the drone SEASON 4 in Pakistan/Afghanistan. The show holds up extremely well even in second viewing. (Have never seen season 6-8, curious how they were).
  8. Jan-May 2011 was AMAZING. The Throoke wedding, Tim Reid and Morgan and the whole Taylor/Ridge/kids stuff, Deacon terrorizing the Forresters. It was gold! The Latino invasion was kind blah in the summer and never really cared for Massimo was the big fall storyline. Brooke's fall from the Eiffel tower (studio set!) is major camp, though. I'm still gushing over the Macy& Thorne concert in Rotterdam from 1994. Look who I spotted: a very junior Brad Belld and Colleen in the audience!
  9. You guys miss out on the point of the remotes in recent years. They are press tours that they combine with some filming for the on-screen screen product. Exceptions were Cabo San Lucas and the LA remotes. The rest is all PR work combined with a quickie location shoot. That said: the Rome remote is exactly as to be expected. LAME And Emma worked for WEEKS on her dance moves for the "fashion show". One of B&B alltime lows. It was HIGH CAMP
  10. #1930: The Rotterdam concert is about to begin. Talk about a fantastic episode. Darlene Conley sparkles like a diamond in every scene she is in. Sally and Eric awake from their little Martini party on the plane to the Netherlands. Macy is hiding that her throat is aching and secretly uses a respirator. Due to a flight delay, Thorne and Macy have to skip rehearsal at the arena in Rotterdam. I kindly blink out this utter lack of realism that music stars would stage a concert after a 12 hour flight of dry air, in another time zone no less. It makes great drama, though. Just as Sally takes center stage to announce the singing duo, there is one catch. Macy has disappeared – and so has Thorne who is looking for her. Throw in a quickie scene with Ivana and Anthony in L.A. talking about Macy’s health scare plus a wonderful scene with Sheila and Mike where she realizes for the first time that he is her only true friend. They don’t make episodes like this anymore!
  11. This was really well done. Thanks for sharing!
  12. Ah cool. Thanks for digging into this interesting to know that B&B was aired quite heavily and then dropped. You’d think with the telenovela competition there would be an audience. Apparently it was snot big enough
  13. How has early 1995 been holding in your re-watch? What did you look? What were the blunders?
  14. Unfortunately, the weather was mostly TERRIBLE. I think it will be similair like the 2018 (?) Monte Carlo location shoot where the characters are all in awe and gushing about the beauty of their surroundings and as a viewer you simpy shrug and say "okayyyyyy" because its only grey skyes and the whole thing looks like it was hastily recorded within the 5 second break of a rain shower. Rome makes a great backdrop though and they chose some pretty cool locations from what could be seen on instagram. I encourage you to keep your expectations VERY low (keep in mind which characters are Italy bound - snooooze!) and maybe you will be pleasantly surprised.
  15. This is pretty big. Especially for the Italian audience, I guess. Kudos! i think KKL recently visited one of his concerts; maybe he or his wife is a B&B fan
  16. Crazy, how time flies! i guess in light of those AWFUL first storylines I was not the only one NEVER picturing JMW to stay around at B&B and turn into the next generation number one diva!???? I was also geniunely surprised when she came back in 2013 after her exit. Somehow this soap job really works for Jackie and while she is no Meryl Streep she is having major screen presence and that is something. Kudos to her for that 15 year anniversary!
  17. If I rember correctly: Lauralee's house was the Marone Mansion on B&B. At least the exteriors.
  18. I really enjoyed seeing JJ’s full run as Caroline, too. Unfortunately, Bill Bell never knew what he wanted to tell with Karen who was a major dud after a great introduction
  19. I saw on IG that he was in Italy with his partner at the same time - and was hoping that he would show up. Thankfully, he did. It seems like he was merely visiting for this one day - and not part of the remote
  20. Still (re)watching 1994 and picture my surprise that in #1887 someone familiar showed up. Photographer Tommy Bayland (as played by Tim Choate) arrived on the scene to take promo shots of Thorne and Macy!? The actor's name was in the credits a few episodes prior, but I thought they had just messed up. Nope, they indeed brought back this character which was last seen 4 years prior (and was originally feautured in Donna's story in 1988!). And either Tommy graduated from taking shady nude shots and parazzi photos for Spencer Publications to a more prolific career or Decadent Records simply did not want to spend too much money on the carerr of Thorne and Macy. LOL
  21. Some remarks about THE 1994 BRIDGE WEDDING. It has stellar production values and still holds up in 15th viewing (these were some of the episodes always available on YouTube and has been rerun 6 (?) times on CBS, I guess) as great entertainment. Taylor is now held captive and desperately wants to return to Ridge who thinks that time has come for his happily ever after with Brooke. What I didn’t remember? The plot in Morocco is rather “rushed” to reach this climax considering that the rest of the story will last months. A lot happened within one or two weeks to get there and so far I still like the Arabian Nights plot. Moroccan Orphan Annie has not arrived on scene and there might be other cringe worthy stuff coming up, if I remember correctly. Back in L.A., the show brought back the Logans and gave them some airtime ahead of the wedding. Stephen not seen since 1988, Katie and Donna not appearing since 1991 (Eric & Brooke wedding!), Storm returning with the original portrayer not seen since 1989 (Ethan Wayne was looking great back then – I’m confused why he did not get more TV work!?) and Beth not seen in this incarnation since 1990. Kristen’s return was kinda blah because she suddenly harbouring a grudge against Brooke for five seconds (why?) before becoming her maid of honor. Felicia was the missing link but her absence was at least addressed. So far so good. The actual wedding which has always been the epitome of amazing production values looks INTERESTING in the pristine picture quality provided in the vault. From it, it sure looks like it a lot of scenes were taped in the studio with a photo/video backdrop. Seems like filming on the beach was not feasible with the big cameras back then. Thorne’s data Ivana was probably not at the beach wedding and simply edited in at the studio. Speaking of continuity, KKL’s son was sick the days they taped all studio scenes of the previous episodes but was suddenly back at the wedding as ringbearer. Carrie Mitchum’s Donna was at the beach to film the wedding but apparently not when they took these flimsy photos back at the studio with the intention to fill airtime without spending too much time and money for the rest of the episode. Weird!
  22. Sorry, that was a typo on my part: I meant 1995. I assume it was one of very few pre-emption dates in 1995. Can you confirm this? One more question about Thanksgiving / Christmas: did the show air on December 25 in 1995 (#2192 aka the most rerun B&B Xmas on CBS) or did the show air the Friday after Thanksgiving (November 24, 1995), meaning that the Christmas show aired on Friday, December 22?
  23. Wow - thanks for checking all these... It adds up with data and some "given dates" perfectly. If I may ask: April 19, 1994 was a national pre-emption for B&B (Oklahoma City bombing) and no new episode aired? A fascinating effect (sort of) of all the OJ pre-emotions was B&B starting season 9 with #2001, even though standard seasons are always more than 250 episodes a year.
