  1. Add me to the list of those who think Kirsten Storms looks absolutely incredible. She's also avoided that facial waste look of so many Ozempic patients. I hope she holds her weight here and doesn't think she needs to lose any more.
  2. I will agree that GH is doing it worse with Trina and Kai, and I had to post about that on the GH thread. The cliches are maddening.
  3. Could the writing and story for Trina and Kai BE any more cliche? UGH.
  4. Sorry to hear this, but I get it. I wish I was strong enough to quit it. Do you really find it charming? You're losing me here. I just don't see anything but middle school googly eyes and even worse dialogue. It's interesting that the actor playing the stalker, Christian Weissmann, is gay and out. Another gay actor hired on a show that won't write gay characters.
  5. -- Good on you for kicking off a discussion about Gio, a character (and actor) the show has done all, all wrong. GM has personality, and it comes across on the screen. He's actually doing MORE with what's written for him, which is basically nothing. I cannot believe the way GH has hidden his physique. Makes zero sense, especially with Frank in charge. Likewise, it's nuts that he's shown no interest in anyone. I don't get it. GM is a decent actor and he looks more than good enough to show off. I agree. They'll never do it. No guts. We'd get a ton of complaints that "Everyone on this show is gay." That doesn't work for me. I realize that doesn't mean they won't do it, but Joss reads older than Gio in my eyes. Moving her from Dex to Gio is like moving her from an adult to a kid.
  6. That's where I am on Y&R. I can deal with this questionable material when the show looks this good. I had really given up on Y&R and on hoping we'd ever see the show we knew again. I've posted more about the sets problem and the production cheapness as much or more than I've complained about the writing. The entire production seems energized, created by people who care.
  7. Way too many writing agendas. I feel like the Keystone Cops are in charge.
  8. From the Jonathan Jackson we know, he cannot be happy about this storyline. I can't imagine anyone being happy to return to writing like this.
  9. Yeah, and we're getting teased -- again -- that Bill might have feelings (including sexual) for Luna. I think it's all a fakeout and that the show will not go there.
  10. Completely agree with that, and it's especially bad on a show that pretends it's progressive on LGBTQ+ characters and stories. It's laughable. Also agree with you about Van Hansis. "Variable at best" is the way to describe these performances. I might be less judgmental if he played a new character, I don't know. This just doesn't feel like Lucas to me.
  11. It's hard to believe the way Will has been turned into a complete dork with very little personality beyond "She's so hot."
  12. Lucky: "If what I'm looking for isn't here, then why should I stay?" Are you kidding me with this dialogue? GH works overtime to bring back Jonathan Jackson and then saddles him with this crap? Lucky is perpetually saddled with teenage angst + the 7 year old who wants to run away from home every other month. It's maddening. And did GH/ABC become afraid of the Aiden character during his first 2 appearances? I don't understand writing in gay characters and then having this much fear over writing for them. There was so much to mine about Aiden and Lucky's relationship with him, and all we know is "They've talked." GH spent more time on deciding to have Sonny and Lucky spar in the boxing ring and deciding to give JJ sleeves while letting MB go sleeveless.
  13. This week has been bad, but today was the worst. The show was boring beyond belief, as if someone said "Filler is what we need." As others have stated, the dialogue has no edge, no bite, no substance. It's hard to care about any of this.
  14. -- Tate looks good in clothes, but shirtless? Just dayum. That boy is amazing. -- Don't know why, but I'm really disliking Holly. --Casey Moss has been great this week. --Also great? Cherie Jiminez as Gabi. She's better in the role than Camila Banus.
  15. A big YES to this one and to Netflix's Hot Frosty with Lacey Chabert and Dustin Milligan. Dropped yesterday.
  16. Exactly. It's the kind of tiny detail that takes me right out of the story. You mean that NO ONE in that cast or crew is aware of how many years a state rep. serves? Unreal. And how satisfying it was to watch Jason kick that ass.
  17. What political office did Drew run for and win? Maybe I missed something. I thought he ran for a state rep office, yet Nina just mentioned he'll "have to run again in 4 years." Unless it was a statewide office, he'll have to run again in 2 years, and everyone who knows the least bit about civics and politics knows that. If I have it wrong, please let me know.
  18. Can we talk about how beautiful Taylor Kinney looks in this?
  19. Nice! I'll take more of Zack Tinker any time I can get him!
  20. -- Anyone else notice Christine and Daniel eating at the GCAC. I was glad to see real food on the plates other than salad, for one thing. I did have to laugh that from one scene to the next, the pastry rolls looked like they were torn into and devoured, but the eggs were never touched. By the last scene, Christine and Daniel apparently inhaled those scrambled eggs even while leaving half of their fruit.
  21. -- So this Kai kid -- "QB1" -- is a first round NFL prospect, but he transferred to GCU?? Are we serious with this? Those scenes were so cliche. -- I actually feel sorry for Kate Mansi. The writing for her does nothing but make her someone impossible to root for and impossible to like. There's no warmth in her dialogue and none in her performance. KM wa so promising when she first came to GH, but this is bad. -- Someone in hair hates the Diane character or MAGA Diane Miller. They're giving her the worst wigs I've seen on GH. -- Lucky still needs a shower., a shave, and a haircut. -- I think it's time for Tristan Rogers to retire, so I'd be fine sending him off with Holly for good.
  22. Eddie definitely looked goooooood, although I think I would have put him in boxer briefs instead of tighty whities. I will be sorely disappointed if we don't get Eddie + Buck by the end of the series, even though Eddie flat-out said "I'm straight" in this episode. Have to agree with you. Ryan Guzman is gorgeous, period, but I thought he was so damn hot with that mustache.
  23. I am on board with everyone else's comments about how much production has improved -- the ranch set, the lighting, the pretty much everything. A couple points: -- Even though the new costume designer isn't yet credited, the fact is that Jill Walton was styled incredibly on her return. Makeup and hair and wardrobe were 100% better than when she last appeared. Ashley's return outfit was also fire. -- I loved the scene with Nikki playing the piano. However, while I can forgive not showing Nikki's hands on the keys until the end, production needs to do better with the sound -- making sure it doesn't seem as if the piano tune is coming from offscreen. That was a miss for me. -- Have very much enjoyed seeing more characters in any one episode, making the show seem richer and fuller. -- And are we getting more sets per episode? I can swear the past couple eps have given us more sets. -- I really want more of those old music cues. They enrich every scene in which they're used.
