  1. No, "most viewers" DON'T want the "fictional drama and escapism" from reality that soaps are presently giving us. You've mentioned anemic ratings more than once. Are you listening to yourself? No one wants or expects scenes revolving around Kamala Harris or other real politicians. Still, it'd be nice to have a soap that doesn't purposely avoid mentioning politics or politicians. Instead we get political races where no one is part of a party. No one stands for anything. It all comes off as fake as hell.
  2. Face it, Brook is sorry she hasn't had some chocolate finery.
  3. I think it's out of date to think a new soap has to premiere in September. Network primetime shows now begin new seasons in October, and streaming/cable don't worry about the calendar at all.
  4. -- I really like the newly-built Newman ranch. I just hope that more set improvements -- and more sets daily -- come along with it. If the GCAC has to be put away every time the Newman ranch is shown, I won't be happy. The show still lacks horribly in workplaces and charcters' homes. -- I like the Crimson Lights set as is. It was nicely updated a few years ago, and I think those tchotkes mentioned give it character and history. -- Can someone explain to me the reason for Jack and Diane to let everyone in town believe their marriage is blowing up? I can see trying to fool Kyle, but I just don't get what this is supposed to accomplish. -- The detective work done by Chance on Heather's murder has to be the worst in TV history.
  5. Then let's get to the good stuff and see some horniness.
  6. It's really sad that the show and Monaco couldn't put that BTS stuff away for her final few weeks. I won't miss KM for her acting, but I will -- as I always do -- miss her because she's been on the show for more than 20 years. I love characters who stick around with the same actor. Frank's unhappiness with KM is written all over these scenes, almost as if he gave writers a directive to screw her over. And Kelly, instead of giving her fans even more reason to be sad and to miss her, decided to go to the phone bank...again. The whole thing is sad.
  7. I actually feel sorry for the actor. They've given him nothing except "Be the understanding young person who shares pearls of wisdom." Yeah, that's the truth. I'm all for diversity and representation, but she is not a good actor. The fact is, her weaknesses have been ignored because of who she is.
  8. Agree with this. I never had any problem with Spencer's height in relation to Trina's. None.
  9. I think that's exactly what's going on.
  10. They're not really thinning the herd, though. Characters are being added all over the place.
  11. Have to agree. I lived through the Holly/Robert stuff, and they really were magical. More flashbacks would have improved this story immensely.
  12. I agree -- I don't see any mental illness, just a character written as a complete moron. I do have to laugh at the music used in the DAYS club/lounge scenes. It's so bad -- always sounds like music lifted from bad porn.
  13. LOL I also had to laugh at Sonny's hair on today's show. Are they using shoe polish to get it that black? Nicholas Alexander Chavez had a lot of really nice things to say about his experience at General Hospital. https://people.com/nicholas-alexander-chavez-had-whole-body-shakes-on-first-day-general-hospital-exclusive-8731460
  14. So Hope rips off Carter's shirt, passionately paws him, slobbering him with kisses -- and then pulls back and says "I'm just not ready"? Talk about being a c-teaser. Girl is for the streets.
  15. I think it's clearly Ozempic for them and for Maura West, too. No shade -- good for them. I do think the skimpy tank top on Maxie was ridiculous for mid-October. This is one of those times when knowing casting news and spoilers really hurts watching the show. Because we know too much about Sam and Lulu (and the actors), I'm pretty bored with all this build-up to Lulu's operation. It would all be so much better if we knew nothing.
  16. Seeing Phyllis, Daniel, Faith, and Summer have these conversations at nighttime IN THE PARK is just ridiculous. Yeah, we get it -- Phyllis doesn't have a home. If this doesn't represent the sets problem on this show, I don't know what does.
  17. -- Carter ripping off his shirt and coming on to Hope could not have looked any more awkward. Whatever that was, it didn't work. -- The Will and Liam conversations are already lame in the same way Liam's conversations with Wyatt were. They don't look real, they don't seem genuine.
  18. I think you can play that "What else is there really left for ______ to do?" with just about any long-term character.
  19. Sorry, but the idea of losing Nancy Lee Grahn to keep Kelly Monaco is a no for me.
  20. The crying over Violet's departure is pretty hilarious.
  21. They're not giving Sam many lines these days, but let's face it, Kelly Monaco is barely trying.
  22. If Ed Scott gets rid of the awful CGI shots completely, he'll be worth whatever they're paying him.
