Those scenes with Lucy and Chance -- why should I care? I don't. And who names these characters? I can't think of anyone that age or of that background having the name "Chance."

That would help. I think the problem is really the set itself. We credit GH sets a lot, but that coffee warehouse set is too large and expansive for the way they've dressed it.

CBS just ran the BTG promo during the NY-Philly NFL game. Good news, and I think it shows how much the network cares about this show.

Yeah, I hate poor and needy and desperate Ava. I hate it in general when soaps suddenly make a wealthy person poor. In most cases, they eventually end up as rich as they once were. The "Ava is broke" story doesn't even make sense. I agree that it's a REAL stretch to see Kristina as a mob boss. But let's not pretend GH is real when it comes to business. I'm thinking of Jason walking around that "coffee warehouse" with his clipboard -- apparently counting the number of bags on the pallets. I mean, really?

And for me, if Javi is going to be written like Leo, we don't need him on the canvas either. I hate the way RC turns gay guys into annoying caricatures. Javi is cute as hell, but seeing him immediately thrown into bed with Leo was a real turn off.

Random thoughts: -- Do they ever sweep/shovel the snow at Society? Seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen when you have snow all around your entrance. -- Why is every Genoa City NYE celebration so mellow and quiet? No one drinks heavily or even enough to feel good, the partiers don't party, and the crowd is so thin at midnight it looks like last call. -- Why was Daniel out at all on NYE? Would the guy really feel like a celebration? -- Since everyone knows the extreme danger Sharon is in, why let her drive to Society alone? -- For the millionth time, why is Newman security so bad?

I like looking at Joshua Hoffman -- a lot -- but I think he'd be crucified as a Spencer replacement. NAC is a really good actor, and JH just isn't. I think he'd be fine in a new role.

What thought process did Carlivati go through to land on Johnny's "cheating" actually stopping before sex? It's all soooooo low stakes, and I just don't get it. When you give Paulina the lines to show what we're all thinking, just what are you doing? The reveal was bad, but it makes everything we've seen to this point even more ridiculous.

I have no clue why these classics don't show up on Paramount+ or on CBS.com. Just makes no sense. None.

Honestly, ChatGPT would do a better job. The dialogue was insipid, made even worse by the round robin "Everyone gets a line" approach. Carter added "That's so messed up." Real CEO stuff from Carter. Treating your audience like it's 85 years old and tech illiterate is not the way to go. Might be the worst directed scenes I've watched on this soap. The whole thing screamed "Let's get this over with." I have to believe this storyline was cut way short. This could not be the original vision. And today Will said "Remy is in custody." Seriously? When we saw him run off yesterday? Aaaaaaand Round 12 of "I'm Taylor and I love being a doormat who wants Ridge back" and "I'm Brooke and I love being treated like trash." We all thought the soaps would bring their best when BTG started, but clearly we were wrong.

Yep, I hate the soap trope of a woman raising a child on her own with no help from the very rich father. Just so ridiculous. It doesn't make the mother look empowered. It makes her look stupid.

You're serious with this? Talk about telling us who you are.

-- Who blocked those scenes with Remy, Will, and Electra? Stevie Wonder? God, all of that was so bad. So poorly done. Either no one cares any longer or they have to tape scenes in record time. The entire thing was laughable. -- But why harp on those awful scenes when we have Bill getting Murderer Luna out of jail on home arrest by pulling strings? I was HOWLING while I listened to his stories about how sad their childhoods were and how they grew up. PLEASE tell me Luna is dreaming all of this.

Beyond annoying. It's a story right of of 1960, and it's garbage. Once again, Carlivati has taken a good storyline and made it a joke. Watching these characters behave as if this makes sense is too much. I'm not seeing those two as a couple at all. The music played at Chanel's NYE party was wretched. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Just another reason to fire Janet Spellman-Drucker. Haven't seen today's show yet, but yesterday's promising first 30 minutes was upended by writing stupidity. Why in the hell would Johnny take Joy upstairs to tell her he wasn't happy about her being at the party? And not only that, it was NEAR FRICKIN MIDNIGHT. None of that made sense. Neither did seeing Philip standing on the other side of the room from Stephanie when the ball dropped. It was the lamest NYE countdown I have ever seen, with pretty much no celebration at midnight. Couples were apart at midnight??? Awful production and writing. I have to admit I enjoy Fake Rafe and think he's hilarious. It's the only good work Galen Gering has done in years LOL.

Interesting article to read. Interesting choices, too. While I can understand many of them, so many are head scratchers that I LOL as I read. Fairman writes to curry favor with the actors he writes about. The sucking up is unreal.

That's the reason I think they should keep Cole too, but the signs are ll there for Cole to be knocked off. Just another thing to b unhappy about with this show.

We just had the sadness of Doug's funeral. We didn't need that same level of grief on Christmas. The show has problems, but the level of melancholy isn't one of them. I agree. I didn't like the Dimitri story at all or the way the show dispensed ith Peter Porte, but that was high art compared to the trash we're getting with Body & Soul. This garbage has been running for MONTHS, and that is insane.
