  1. Shouldn't Eric be going back to Paris by now? I swear that Ron just wanted to give GV another paycheck or two.
  2. I could not be more bored than I am with this "Taylor is dying" stuff. It's awful.
  3. You may be right about that. What's not up for argument is that younger people are much more likely to SPEND their money and to spend more of it than older people. There's a reason television aims for a younger audience. In addition, I guarantee advertisers are paying more for ads on MLB games than on GH. Face it, the soaps are filled with ads for medication, and you'll see much more variety on the games.
  4. I think the entire Lucky storyline is dreadfully boring.
  5. Knight's accent changes every day. What an actor!!! 😂 GH has been under 2M viewers per month, and those demos are not good. Baseball is the bastard stepchild to the NFL when it comes to ratings, but its audience is younger and more affluent than GH's.
  6. Another series you have to check out is TELL ME LIES. Very soapy, hot guys with either too much swag or outright narcissism, and lots of sex. It's in the middle of season 2.
  7. I'm 7 episodes in. Ep 5 (with the 30-minute+ camera one-shot with Erik) has been the highlight. Cooper Koch is mesmerizing. Nicholas Chavez has had many outstanding, powerful scenes. Still, eps. 6 and 7 got off track with the Dominick Dunne stuff, and I think 9 episodes is far too many. Better to have 7 and do some heavy editing. The slut in me is very happy to see NAC looking soooo damn hot, though. I'd be watching even if the series was awful. P.S. Grotesquerie starts on Thursday with Chavez playing a PRIEST. Bless me, Father, for I have sinned!
  8. Michael E. Knight made a huge mistake getting rid of the facial hair.
  9. Chavez is a GOD, and Cooper Koch ain't so bad, either.
  10. I hear you on all of that. I was REALLY angry at NBC and P&G when Another World was canceled. So many of us were, even though we'd been frustrated for years about mistakes made at AW. NBC was absolutely crazy to think that ratings for PASSIONS would be great with so many ticked off and sad AW viewers out there -- and it didn't help when The AW replacement was a hard 180 away from what we'd seen for decades. No soap cancellation broke my heart the way Another World's did.
  11. I think PASSIONS is getting a bad rap here. If you wanted a traditional soap, it didn't work. You had to suspend belief and roll with the camp and the absurdity. That first day in Harmony took a month To play out onscreen, and at that point you were either in or out. I understand why some people didn't like it, but I think Reilly had a vision that was carried out. The soapy weirdness kept me watching until it ran out of gas, but I think it was a noble attempt at something different.
  12. Yep. Lucky's story was a snooze today, but so was the entire show. I did get some laughs when Willow asked that Michael be told she was sick and had to leave the club. I mean, she couldn't find him to tell him that? Of course, we then got Michael looking around saying "I wonder where Willow is?" I guess it was hard to find her among the 15 people there. And Lois is interesting to watch, since her accent changes in every scene.
  13. -- When Tom Arnold is your guest star on a Friday, your entire show is in trouble. -- Brooke said Hope has "a little crush" on Finn? LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO -- Dropping Taylor's "heart failure" at the end of the show is such bad writing. But expected. -- LMAOOOOOOOOOOO at Bill telling Katie and Will in the "coming up" clips that they have to be a family. This is the same guy who preached about an entirely different family just last week.
  14. Low budget is right. To have the #1 daytime drama looking like it runs on a shoestring budget is pathetic.
  15. I don't think the audience sees Lucky as a deadbeat. I don't think we're supposed to dislike him. I do think his return has been boring af.
  16. Agreed. The budget at GH has to be significantly higher than on any other soap. Y&R is particularly embarrassing in the sets and extras dept.
  17. Taylor to Ridge: "You were the love of my life. You always will be." This psychiatrist should be locked up for being delusional and for lacking any self-esteem. In what universe is that normal?
  18. It is boring, but I was stunned at the number of extras there, as well as at Bobbie's. I can't believe they have the budget for this.
  19. That accent was WAY overboard, but eliminating it is just stupid. I don't either. Do the writers really think they're getting us to sympathize with Kristina? How clueless are they? Just nuts. Makes me hate Sonny even more and despise Natalia even more. And then the writers think we'll applaud Sonny for hiring Martin as Alexis' lawyer -- as if that redeems the POS killer.
  20. So yeah, Michael E. Knight is back as Martin. Did Martin go to the same Lose Your Accent School as Lois?
  21. Exactly. Just remember that when you're commenting on the bad acting of BOLD's Joshua Hoffman.
  22. He doesn't look distraught and can't act. But doesn't that fit with the rest of this crapfest and its entire history? 😂 Let's keep our focus where it belongs, and that's on Joshua Hoffman's body.
