  1. -- That Lauren and Michael argument in the Jazz Lounge was so over-the-top and ridiculous that I have no words. Completely out of character. Of course, they did make up and kiss 30 minutes later. GMAFB. -- Does anyone care that Lauren will be Christine's maid of honor? ANYONE??? -- So Jill's already leaving town. Jess Walton gives us the best -- which is really good -- and then disappears for another 6 months. Then again, most good things are off screen with this show. -- Cane referred to Chelsea's con days. That's Josh Griffith giving us his version of "history." We haven't seen Chelsea pull a con for YEARS, so that dialogue is useless. -- Chelsea's con days were the last time she was interesting.
  2. I'll join you in the minority. I would hate to lose either Maura West or Cynthia Watros. They're not doing much now? Well, then, cut some weak actors and give them more to do. -- So more scenes with Sonny and the D.A. Maurice Benard might love that actress, but the struggle was real for him today as he worked overtime to remember his lines. -- I have no idea why Tracy first went to Lulu to get information on Ronnie. Why not hire a high-powered investigator from the jump? -- Portia is pregnant, but I guess we'll never hear abortion mentioned. You know, the way we would in real life. -- Dark Michael is MUCH too kind to Ronnie for my taste. He was so close to Monica that he not only accepts, but welcomes Ronnie taking over the Q home? How many times will we hear him say "This is your house now, Aunt Ronnie"? Does he just assume everyone who lives there will now be welcome into "Ronnie's house"?
  3. -- Andre won big-time in that confrontation that Bill forced. He made Bill look small and pathetic. -- Andre might not be Dani's forever husband, but he knows how to treat her and says all the right things about her. -- Hayley is just as sad as her lame ass husband. They deserve each other. -- Vanessa just can't help herself. When she got up to say goodbye to Golden Corral Casino Mobster Joey, she grabbed him around the neck -- just as any romantic and sexual partner would. -- And in front of her son? The day her husband was buried? She's trash. -- Donnell and Jacob both clocked out but neither said anything. My guess is this gets mentioned in the future. -- Of course, Vanessa doubled down on what a ho she is when she explained her "friendship" with GCCM Joey. This woman is for the streets.
  4. Jesus, he looks hot here. Gimme some of that finery on GATES!
  5. I get that, but I won't back away from the comment. Part of me does the CinemaSins analysis, and I can't turn off that part of my brain when I see it or hear it. Overall, I thought that was a great scene between Smitty and Martin, and I liked their volleys and all they shared. That's why the hair thing stuck out so much for me -- I don't think it fit. I haven't finished the episode yet....that scene was the last one I watched until later. I'm hoping for more good talk between them, although I wasn't happy with the way the scene ended, either. Martin recounted how this and that were working well to get them back on track but then ended with "But is it enough?" After that scene, I really wanted to end on a positive note and not immediately return to "Maybe this won't work." I wanted the positive vibes to breathe for awhile -- even if it was for just a couple scenes. I guess that's CinemaSins, too, but I enjoy this board as a place to express what I'm thinking. I respect that others disagree with me. P.S. I'll be back later when I finish watching this episode. LOL.
  6. -- Re: the sets, in the Forrester mansion, that alcove between the staircase and the living room should have been redone. It just looks like wasted space that's dungeon-like. -- Way too much repetition this past week. Why all these scenes with people talking at Luna? IRL, no one would waste their breath on a demented sociopath. -- We were told "No one can keep eyes on Luna all day long." Huh? It's crazy how these people have tons of money until they have no money. -- The Romeo & Juliet love affair of Will and Electra is flat-out boring. Having Ivy as Electra's worthless sounding board doesn't improve the story.
  7. I get that. I also have eyes, and neither of these gays has any gray hair or any thinning hair.
  8. Martin to Smitty: "Our hair is a little grayer, and it's a little thinner." What??? These guys are in their 30s, not their 50s and 60s.
  9. Thanks. I enjoyed the interview -- Oliver Stark is always interesting and he's sooooo damn easy to look at. I appreciate hearing the cast knows the show is campy, and they've made the over-the-top stuff work. I am disappointed that they're apparently still not leaning into Buddie and might be even leaning away from it. We've been teased with Buddie for SO long and for SO many seasons, and I don't think they're ever going to follow through with it. That pisses me off. Since production and writers KNOW what they're doing, it does come off as queerbaiting. I respect writing Buck as bi, but if he ends up with a woman, I'll still see it as a step back. Is that irrational of me? I don't care if it is. I think Stark gives good answers that respect the audience but also protect him with the show. He's really good at not alienating anyone around him. Plus I love to look at him. LOL
  10. Good to know I'm not the only one who thinks LB is not good playing sad and emotional. It all comes off as phony.
  11. -- Yeah, "emotionally abusive and controlling" is not how I'd describe Martin. He's had bad moments, but overall, he's neither of those -- while Smitty has his own negative attributes. -- While it's good to hear soap couples talk about therapy, do Martin and Smitty really need it? It's not as if they disagree on their problems and obstacles, and this conversation today was evidence they can work things out on their own. -- Why are all these conversations at the police department around Jacob's desk? Ridiculous. -- Jacob's questions for Drake were worthless, followed by him telling Drake not to leave town. Huh? For what? Why would this guy need to listen to orders like that? -- No, Donnell, Drake did not "steal" your father's watch. -- Speaking of ridiculous, watching Vanessa and Donnell view that 20-second clip from the Golden Corral Casino over and over was hilarious. -- Alex Cheeks is doing a MUCH better job at conveying grief than Lauren Bugoli, whose main move is to have her voice break. I know we all like her, but she's been AWFUL in these mourning scenes. I don't believe Vanessa is in any kind of emotional pain. -- If I'm going to criticize other actors on this show (as I have with those playing Tomas, Derek, and Ashley), I'm not letting LB off the hook. -- But it is a Vanessa move to go to Uptown with her Mob Boss boyfriend on the day her husband was buried. Typical trash. Once a slut, always a slut. -- I hope Donnell reads her for filth tomorrow after accusing her of screwing Joey. -- Even better? Let's write it that Doug isn't dead and that he comes back to haunt and torture his cheating whore of a wife and her pathetic gangster boyfriend. -- Good acting? Those Dani/Nicole scenes. DD and KM make it all look easy.
  12. Aside from the new Newman ranch and the redone Abbott mansion, I can't think of anything Phelps has done. If you hadn't tuned in for a year and then watched a recent episode, you might say "The show looks good" without realizing how few sets we see every week and how static everything is. The writing is worse than it was when she arrived. Stories are arguably worse. Either JFP has no power, has run out of ideas, or this show is hamstrung by the budget and nothing can be done.
  13. So Chase goes into Anna's office and immediately bends over her desk for 20 seconds. Yeah, nothing planned about that.
  14. She keeps asking Deke about what guy he's seeing, all so we know how progressive Hope is. 😂
  15. -- Why is Hope acting so clueless when it's clear af that Deke wants a job as designer at FC? -- Kind of hilarious to watch Ridge and Taylor run all over town to announce that killer Luna is on the loose.
  16. Today's show annoyed me. -- I like the candor when it comes to sex on this soap, but I don't like seeing characters behave without self-respect. Kat gave it up -- in a closet -- the day after her half-sister opened her thighs? Really? -- And I don't like Eve chasing a guy who just screwed her, but is now apologizing and telling her he loves someone else. -- Now Kat all of a sudden is in love with Tomas? In love with WHAT? We saw none of this before today. -- I'd also love to know who thinks Alex Alegria deserves all this screen time. I mean, he's so damn bad, and they're giving him MORE to do. -- Chelsea got on my nerves today. Her dialogue seemed weird, and I don't think people talk that way. All these family members being fine with seeing Kat and Tomas together make me sick. -- In just a couple episodes, the Carlton character has lost his sexiness and swag. Why write him as someone who waited around for Nicole for DECADES? And he was very good friends with Ted? Awful writing. -- Dani's talk about her marriage to Andre does nothing but put him down. There's nothing in it that leads us to believe she even cares about him long-term, let alone loves him. He sounds like a pit stop. -- Alex Cheeks is doing a nice job as Donnell, but let's pump the brakes on "Give him an Emmy!" and "Lock him down before primetime and movies steal him!" I think that's a gross overreaction. -- Lauren Bugoli as just been OK in these mourning scenes. I don't feel as if we're seeing a woman who's grieving. Part of it may because I think she's been such a slut since BTG premiered, but she's done nothing the past few episodes to make me feel her love for Doug was deep.
  17. So Sonny and Gio hit the boxing ring and SONNY is the one who's sleeveless??? MAKE IT MAKE SENSE.
  18. On a list of problems at B&B, Tanner Novlan isn't even on the first page.
  19. How does it make any sense that Monica would leave the Q mansion to her sister Veronica???
  20. Yep to all of that. THE DUPREES are a hypocritical mess. Their sanctimony and self-righteousness is embarrassing.
  21. -- That top on Eva and that jacket on Leslie did not work. --The clownery with Leslie was too much today. I'm guessing that some of that isn't written, but is added by TMG. It's a mistake. Every other line she has with Eva turns into a clown show. -- I do not like at all the way the Duprees are allowing Leslie into their lives. Vernon said they "have to let her in." To Fairmont Crest, yeah. Into their front door, no. It is absolutely ridiculous. These two have fire for others but Leslie gets this treatment like she's some sweet thing who's a little off? -- Leslie's teardown and construction began already? Wow...she knows all the right people! I guess the mansion will be finished by next week. -- OTOH, let's hope those lines about Leslie not having a project manager and someone supervising construction mean this entire building process will be a nightmare. -- Nicole defending Eva to Kat was a bit much. The truth is that Kat HAS been right all along about Eva. Nicole is pathetically understanding to Eva. -- Why are Kat's family members not telling her to be glad skank cheater Tomas is out of her life? Why in the living hell would any of them want NoMas with her? -- Good scenes with Smitty and Martin, but it's kind of hilarious that Martin thinks turning himself in will make their lives better. LOL
  22. Did you see those 18-49 demo numbers? CBS cannot be happy.
  23. Some people (not exactly credible sources) suggest Matthew Atkinson is already gone. I hope that's wrong. Why bring Thomas back for just a couple episodes? It doesn't make any sense.
  24. You do know that Clayton Norcross is 71, right?
