But no Remy or Deke. Oh, and a token shot of Zende.

What do you mean by simplistic?I really don't get your point here. Many of us have pointed out the weak actors, as well as other problems that need to be worked out. I just don't understand using the word simplistic to define BTG.

That's fine. I understand divorce can get petty. In the meantime, maybe Naomi can tell her father he'd better get a post-nup with his child bride. I think Naomi should see her as a bigger threat than Andre.

YIKES to that potential new pairing. I don't want that.

I hear you on the drama if Izaiah gets involved with Jacob and Naomi. I just don't see Naomi with the bad boy type. I'll roll with it if it happens, though. I think this was a very good week for BTG -- my favorite week in a good while.

Yeah, there were some, but there were also fine as hell Black men who were really good.

I'm anti-Naomi right now, and I'm already tired of her comments about having a baby. As I've said, if she doesn't want it, have an abortion. No one's trying to stop her. I really don't see her with Izaiah, but anything with him that gives us less of Tomas is OK with me.

Wait...you got that from a few seconds in the previews for next week? Only thing I noticed is that the actor is hot as all hell.

Yeah, I'm not crazy about her missing the wedding thing. Maybe they thought too many bodies on that set would be too crowded. I thought the vow renewal was very nicely done -- authentic and romantic. I didn't like the way Samantha and Tyrell were shuffled in and then shuffled out. That wasn't natural at all. Does Bill really think Dani's baby-making days are still here? Naomi's post-nup comment was indeed ridiculous. We've been told repeatedly that Andre has his own money and we've had zero indication he's a gold digger. Naomi says the dumbest, most annoying things. Yep. I have no problem with the pacing of Smitty and Martin's reconciliation.

He is definitely a talent, and I think he's underrated because of his looks. Telfer is a daytime leading man in every respect. Even better, on social media PT shows himself to be a champion and an ally in all the right areas. He hates all things MAGA as much as I do.

I'm happy for Paul Telfer. I wanted Dominic to win, but Telfer has been really solid in making a villain likable and even lovable. He has chemistry with everyone. Peter Bergman was favored, but let's face it -- he gets his noms for cry scenes. He has enough Emmys for that already. NLG wasn't her best in those deathbed scenes, in my opinion, but she's sooooo damn good on the regular that I don't have a problem with her win. I'm as happy with the 2025 acting Emmys as I've been for YEARS. And GH for Best Drama? They've now won about 5 in a row, but it's hard to argue with the choice. Frank Valentini is really awkward on camera, but I think he must be an introvert. I can't criticize him for camera presence.

Netflix is cleaning up, which is so predictable. That voting bloc has to be enormous. Regardless, when I think of daytime, I never think "Netflix."

I m ECSTATIC for Susan Walters!!! She is an exceptional actor who is a presence in every scene, and I loved seeing Linden Ashby get so emotional over her win. Aside: Gold Derby gave Susan a 7% chance to win. Kate Mansi was an over 70% favorite.

Gold Derby predicted Y&R would win Emmys in all the major categories by wide margins, including show, director, writing, lead actor (Peter Bergman) and lead actress (Eileen Davidson). No idea where they came up with runaway races for all these categories. I don't see that happening.- Daytime Emmy Awards Live Discussion Thread (2025)
These presenter scripts are ridiculously long. Who thought this was a good idea? Now they're giving one Emmy after the other to AppleTV+ -- just what everyone tuned in to see.- Daytime Emmy Awards Live Discussion Thread (2025)
Mealor looks better than he does on the show. Egypt Sherrod forgot to do her Ozempic.- Daytime Emmy Awards Live Discussion Thread (2025)
I already had to switch browsers on my laptop. Firefox was buffering every 20 seconds 🤣 Maybe the 6K viewers are ready to crash the website 😂 Opera seems to be better. - Daytime Emmy Awards Live Discussion Thread (2025)
