I co-sign to all the complaints about today's show. -- That "fire" in Holly's room looked like they spent $2.49 on it. -- No one cares that Stephanie is Anastasia Sands. What an awful storyline. -- Johnny and Chanel's home visit by the Evil Home Visitor was maddening, because DAYS has done this way too many times. She pulls out an "anonymous letter" from the baby's mother? -- Then she asks ridiculous questions that could be handled anywhere, including the office. What's the home visit for? That's right -- we can't see her move around the apartment because it's 6'x10'. -- That photo on Johnny's phone? Jesus. GMAFB. And Chanel exploding when she saw the picture? GM Another FB.

-- Why the frick is Hope asking her damn mother whether she should be with Carter or Liam? Who lives like this? -- As usual, B&B trot out a kid when convenient. This time it's to tell Liam "You and mommy love each other and should be together." The kid will disappear in a couple days.

Yikes, she really is trash. -- And she's spending all her grieving time with Mobster Joey instead of her kids or her best girlfriend? -- Speaking of trash, there's Carlton, who apparently never heard of Bro Code. It's disgusting that he'd date Nicole when he was best friends with Ted. Another garbage male in the Fairmont Crest universe -- and it doesn't say much for Nicole, either. -- Oh, Chelsea. You sold one purse. ONE. You're not a mogul, sweetie. -- So June dispenses advice on boys to Samantha, but needs a lesson from Naomi on how to talk to guys? Uh....ok. -- It makes no sense -- none -- that Naomi didn't tell June who Ted is. It's writing for convenience, because they're going to have June chase Ted. If she knew who he was and who he was related to, she wouldn't go after him. -- Every line out of NoMas' mouth is laugable. He's a no good fcukboi. I wish the show would use this as a way to write him out. I hate seeing Eva and Kat fight over this POS who is dumber than a box of hair. -- Kat was so good in that goodbye to Tomas and Eva, then ruined it all when she went back to her place. She still loves him? Are you effing kidding me? It's pretty bad when Chelsea makes the most sense of anyone in the room. -- Hey Kat, how is Eva the winner if she gets a complete loser like Tomas? -- Smitty, Smitty, Smitty. Use your damn words. I don't blame Martin for leaving. -- Question: Why does BTG run a 15-second promo at the end of every episode that includes only things we've seen before?

-- I think rushed production schedules are the reason we don't get more love scenes on soaps these days. They time a lot of time to choreograph and direct and perform, and I have to believe that is one big reason we don't get many and why they're shorter in scene length. -- I'm fine with the Theo PTSD, but I did not like the scene that started off today's run-in with JJ and Theo. Yes, there was a blackout, but JJ was MUCH too intense in yelling at someone out when he shouldn't have been. He did sound as if the guy was committing burglary or an act of violence, and in my mind he was every trait of a bad police officer in 2025. I cringed when JJ was yelling.

Scott Clifton was JACKED 2-3 years ago and B&B had him shirtless all over the place. For some reason, he lost a ton of weight, and he does have that Ozempic look (as does Ryan Seacrest. Have you seen him lately? Yikes). -- The new sets? They do look great, as does the lighting. The show breathes a lot more. If only dialogue/story improved at the same time. -- Watching Hope AGAIN debate whether she was with the right man made me realize we're not getting improved dialogue/story. -- A Forrester runway as a regular set? Sounds good, but then they REALLY need to step up the fashion, because what they're giving us is not it. Those 3 outfits were basic as hell and nothing special. -- Seeing Eric "take notes" on those 3 basic dresses was pretty hilarious. I'm glad they give the old man something to make him feel useful.

Yeah, I'm no fan of Vanessa, either. Her tears mean nothing -- not when she's been unfaithful in every way to Doug. Everyone in town must know what a nasty ho she is. I do think the show wants us to sympathize with Vanessa. It's not working. The Eva vs Kat rivalry rightly gets a lot of attention and praise, but that's despite AA's acting. Just imagine how much better the entire thing would be with a decent actor. I'm not Team Eva or Team Kat, because I think both of them are idiots for wanting NoMas. I don't feel sorry for Kat, because she never wanted Tomas. She gave up her virginity to that loser solely to keep Eva from him. That's on her.

I guess Golden Corral Mobster Joey can't find good help. -- Joey still comes off like Temu Don Corleone to me. -- Yes, Vanessa, it's all about you. It's all your fault Doug is dead. -- Seeing Vanessa weep when she saw Doug's wedding ring had me howling. The symbols of marriage matter to her, but not the sanctity of the relationship. She's been a total slut. -- Let Eva have Tomas. I want Kat away from him and I want her to continue fighting with Eva. -- Alex Alegria has a good body and he's handsome. He's also a terrible, terrible actor who should be replaced. The list of hot Latinos who can act is endless. -- I liked psycho Allison calling in to Chelsea's QVC bit, but the setup was bad. She just borrowed the phone and immediately discovered the live feed? And why was she back in the police station in the first place. -- The QVC purse bit was a good idea, but lacked in execution. It went on too long, and they gave no information as to where to buy the purse or about pricing. -- The purse is for sale, so why not put a QR Code on the screen? Why not sell the purse? -- I will repeat that I think the IRL price of the purse is set too high at $139. I think they could have made a splash and hit their demo with a price that was half of that or a little higher.

Yep, I agree with that, too. As laughable as it is that Luna hasn't been arrested and is still around everyone, she's the only decent thing on the entire show.

I'm bored, too. Lamest blackout ever. The cliches are clicheing. And Susan is on my screen again. Kill me now and light me on fire.

Oh, I agree with that. Britt told Nathan "I'll be back" -- presumably to talk to him alone -- and if we get a not-so-nice Nathan, I'm not sure it'll work. I know this board in general thinks Ryan Paevey is a bad actor, but I think he plays the nice guy and the romantic guy pretty well. Can he play bad? I'm not sure about that.

I thought the same thing. -- Are we supposed to like Li? She's a great surgeon who brings people back from the dead but who is stupid when it comes to common sense or any other kind of sense. -- Are we supposed to feel sorry for Sheila and her crying that Deacon might be done with her? LOL Exactly, but not on this show. We have to keep Luna around so she can engage in ridiculous conversations with people who would never listen to her for one minute.

-- Erika Slezak was in top form on her return. She has not missed a beat. -- The back-and-forth between Veronica and Tracy was great stuff: two powerhouse actors going at it. -- Still, I'm not sure I like the intense anger and aggressive attitude Tracy has towards Ronnie. I realize Tracy jumps to conclusions and can get heated very quickly, but wasn't that a bit much? -- I realize GH had to make Ronnie's return a problem, but I don't know. I'm not even sure what I'd want instead, but the ferocity of the argument didn't work for me. -- I'm also not sure I'm good with "this Nathan" really being someone else. Returns from the dead are hard enough to take; for me, imposter clones are harder to take. If Britt remains this unlikable, do we really want an unlikable "Nathan"?

I imagine some people read my posts with all the bullet points and think "There he goes again," but it's just my opinion on an opinion board. This isn't some Reddit sub that's Good Vibes Only. I was really positive for the first few months, too. I did mention changes I wanted to see and things that weren't working, but we're now over 7 months and I've seen regression in some areas. While I admire loyalty to actors, I don't understand keeping people who are just not working... in storylines that are just not working. Either replace the actor or end the story. And stop casting actors who are the wrong age for the part. Who thought sticking a Marla Gibbs/227 wig on Peaches would make her look old? Who thought 30-year old Najah Jackson (who is a good actor) was right for a 16-year old? The main problem I see with dialogue is a lack of consistency. Characters speak differently depending on who pens the script. Some days we get no pop cultural references and slang. Other days? We're overloaded with them. I'm also not a fan of dropping in a cultural reference just because. A soap isn't 2025 because it mentions a pop star or overdoes the slang. I'm also frustrated when a storyline ramps up, gets really intense, and then disappears for weeks. Can that work? Yes -- but not for every damn story. That's how I feel. If I didn't care about this show, I wouldn't share my opinions. Hell, I wouldn't watch the show. @Maxim and I agree on a lot more than we don't, so we naturally appreciate each other's comments. I love his honesty because it's based on what we see on the screen. I do enjoy reading comments from others who love everything -- every single thing -- because that pushes me to see the other side and question what I'm saying.

Exactly. Look at the writing Eric Braeden is getting. It's horrible. Yes, he's older and diminished, but if given even decent writing, his role would have impact. Instead, Josh Griffith is writing 50-year old Victor. It doesn't work.

Yep, I remember it the same way -- it was fat shaming, period. Imagine how that would play today.

Thanks for the information on trusts. The show could have avoided all of these problems by simply not showing that $1M check and adding that Leslie would get a payout every 6 months. It is possible that the writing will address this later. We've seen this before on BTG. But that's the problem -- I'm seeing too many plot elements get addressed "later." You're right about social media complaints about the soaps, but when a big name in the genre like MVJ speaks, she's going to get A LOT more attention than the average soap viewer. She has every right to speak out, but I do not think it was wise. She wasn't rude, but she's clearly irritated and she's posting after midnight. All she did was draw more attention to the plot device. That's where I am on the "It's a soap" thing. I can hand-wave regularly and be OK with it, but when I'm throwing back my head in disbelief, the hand-waving doesn't work.

You're right -- it's not necessary. But that's Twitter/X, a complete cesspool where people contact others directly to attack them. The GATES sub on Reddit has also been tough on the Leslie Has Money stuff, but (from what I've seen) the bashing is not personal. We see in this thread that not everyone agrees about this money situation. I think it's botched; others think it makes sense. That's OK. I'd add, though, that when there's a spotlight on a plot element like this -- that includes a lot of complaining -- it's a sign the show could have done better.

I agree with you. Ben Gavin isn't great, but he has improved a good deal. Alex Alegria has not.

I'm glad to know MVJ reads online opinions, but this response is not it. It doesn't satisfy anyone who has a problem with the money Leslie is spending. We KNOW that $1M was the INITIAL disbursement and that the funds grew over time. We were also told Leslie would get a check every 6 months -- and NOTHING was added that she'd get many millions in the next check. Then we got this spending spree, this ridiculous spending spree, that we're just supposed to roll with. "It's just a soap" doesn't work. We're already hand-waving a dozen things away because we understand the soap genre. There's no reason to hand-wave something that could easily be handled with a couple lines of dialogue. This is botched writing, and it can't be easily fixed because they tape so far in advance. What good does it do for MVJ to snap back like this? She's 74, so maybe her filter is gone and she doesn't care. Snapping back over this? It didn't work.

I think this hatred stems from Tracy's interference in Martin and Lucy's relationship. Tracy schemed to break them up, and it worked. Lucy moved on to Scott at the time.
