  1. -- Also, I am CRYING 😂🤣😂 that in 3 days, Deacon went from feeling perfectly fine about his marriage to Sheila to asking a psychiatrist "Should I end my marriage?" and then flirting blatantly with said psychiatrist.
  2. -- Those 3 gowns that Hope trotted out had me LMAO! -- I thought the 3rd one (on the right) was the worst. It looked like Grandma had a crafts project and had her glue gun ready to go! -- Also had to laugh when Hope threw her arms around Deke as he walked in -- as if she didn't just see him yesterday. -- Ridge sees Deke for the first time in years and decides the first thing he'll say is to throw shade at Deacon? Ridge continues to be trash. -- Il Giardino, like every set, is improved, although I do think that open air/sky backdrop needs work or needs to be changed occasionally. Is cloud cover always the exact same in L.A. every day?
  3. I hear you on that, and I'm willing to give you the point on this. I am invested in this plot and character turn, but I do have lingering questions. I just watched the first 20 minutes of today's show, and we were told that not only did Hayley never love Bill, but that he's not her first big mark and that she took "everything" from a very rich man. OK, but weren't we also told she was best friends with Naomi and almost a part of the family? Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought Hayley was around those people for years. I'm also withholding judgment on the casting of Marquita Goings as Hayley. She's not bad in any way, but I'm not sure she's the best fit for the part.
  4. -- I had to laugh when Smitty put the lasagna on the table. Not only was there no pad under it, but Smitty wasn't wearing any gloves or using a towel to protect his hands. Maybe they like cold lasagna. -- Other times, we've seen Samantha and Tyrell clear the table. This time, no. Smitty says they should leave it all until the morning. Yeah, that leftover lasagna will be fine. -- Randy does some dumb things. When he saw Joey and Vanessa kissing, why not back out of the room? Is he really wise to trust anything about Joey? -- On the other hand, if Randy is Joey's right hand, that entire operation is in trouble. "Hey. Randy, close up for me." 😂 -- Vanessa continues to be a ridiculous slut to me. She doesn't want Donnell to know about her and Joey. Then why did she embrace Joey by grabbing his neck the other day -- right in front of Donnell? And she doesn't want Joey to break up with her, which means she's OK being with a criminal. -- I'm so glad to see this Hayley turn, because what we were seeing wasn't working. -- Dani and Bill do have great chemistry, but I still hate to see Dani go back to a guy who treated her so miserably during their marriage. -- The Anita/impersonator stuff is fun and I'm ok with it, but it still stretches belief that Anita Dupree would have regular calls with her female impersonator. -- Closing Orphey Gene's gave Vernon and Anita a nice romantic moment when the lights were down, and it did enable some filming without extras. -- On the other hand, it's kind of presumptuous -- but very WE'RE THE DUPREES -- to think the world revolves around them. Privileged, indeed.
  5. You've made a lot of comments about poor breakdowns by "the writer" and Giddens. Respectfully, I don't get it. Can you explain what you mean and how these breakdowns could be better?
  6. I agree. They wrote Deke as too laid back about his dad's marriage to the town psycho -- or one of them. That conversation could at least have been one that made Deacon's text for a psych appointment asap make sense.
  7. Tyler Joseph Andrews has been absolutely great as Theo. Casting did an excellent job and Andrews made the role his own almost immediately. This board went crazy (and I think overboard) over the Donnell casting on BTG, but this is the actor who deserves the attention and praise.
  8. Also hilarious? Only now does Deacon think he needs a psychiatrist to talk about his marriage to Sheila.
  9. It would be hilarious to see Lt. Baker slap Electra and arrest her for the worst acting of the day.
  10. I was THISCLOSE to turning off today's episode because of Susan.
  11. -- Yes, Will was "violated" and "didn't consent," but it's so clear that writers are intentionally avoiding the word "rape." In 2025, that's crazy writing. -- But the dialogue for Luna continues to be hilarious. I love how she mentions "the next Spencer heir" every three sentences. -- And how about Lt. Baker just standing there while Electra assaults Luna? 😂 -- Taylor's practice must really be booming. Deacon texts her "I need to see you right now" and she rushes right to her office.
  12. I didn't know about Kirsten Storms' health problems until I saw your post, and then I did read the websites. I am sorry she's going through this, and like everyone else, I hope she pulls through this and quickly gets back to good health. I have made comments about Storms' GH absences here, as have others. Could I have been more sensitive and shown more grace? Of course. Any explanation I give will come off like an excuse. I'll say only that none of my comments about her were vicious. Since her brain aneurysm was discovered very early in the year and is only now going to be operated on, I think it's safe to assume there was no immediate danger to her. Some brain aneurysms must be operated on immediately. Her doctors clearly made the decision that they could monitor the size, location, shape, growth, rupture history, etc., and wait to operate. I'm not downplaying any of this. It's obviously concerning and surgery is always dangerous. I just believe and trust she'll be ok. I wish her only the best. In the meantime, GH still has a Maxie problem. Kirsten talked about possibly returning in November, and now we know that's not going to happen. I only hope GH and the writers knew about this when they plotted Nathan's return. If not, it's hard to see how this story works.
  13. -- I didn't have it on my bingo card that I'd like June for the first time when she pushed back at Crazy Leslie and her "Stay away from my mans" bullshlt. Leslie is back to being completely unhinged. -- I hope we get a battle wherein June ruins Leslie. -- Leslie warned Nicole to "keep Kat on a short leash" when it comes to Tomas. Uh...isn't Kat with Tomas? As I said, Leslie is unhinged. -- Chelsea was back to acting like a Barbie doll today. -- I love the idea of Dani and Naomi having a serious talk, but the writing for Naomi can be ridiculous. Why would she tell Dani "I ruined your life"? It's not believable. Neither is her telling Dani "You think I'm a monster." None of that works. -- I'm liking Dani and Andre together more and more. For one thing, I do not want Andre with Basic Boring Ashley. For another, I do not want Dani back with Bill. So many people want them as end game, but why would you want Dani to return to a guy who treated her like trash? -- Speaking of trash, there's Vanessa. -- Vanessa KNOWS how dangerous and evil Joey is, yet she defends him to Nicole? And she talks about how kind Joey is to Donnell? Jesus. Just spare me from this terrible mother and awful wife. -- I still laugh every time I see Golden Corral Casino Mobster in that backroom. What a dump.
  14. I'll join you on ALM. I think she's good in the role. I think her likability as a performer is the reason she was able to survive and redeem her character after what she did to Chad.
  15. Good points, but I don't see many characters on GH getting "continuing content" anyway. I don't see Paevey getting consistent lead stories.
  16. We almost always agree, but I thought Will was OK today and that the Electra performance was AWFUL. She was good with the Luna slap, but this attempt at being badass and in charge did not work. I also LOL that no one else had called the police on Luna -- and that she had to do it. These people are all scum.
  17. -- Carly working the counter at Bobbie's continues to be hilarious and ridiculous to me. Just not believable. -- I co-sign to everything said here about Kirsten Storms in the past 24 hours. I don't think any television performer "deserves" this kind of grace from her employer. She's really lucky, but we're all paying the price for these absences when Frank protects her with the writing. -- Spinelli has been better in the past year, but do I want to see more of him? No. He was always acceptable when used sporadically, and regular sightings would be exhausting . -- I understand the criticisms about Ryan Paevey, but I don't agree with them. Will he ever be known as "a good actor"? No, but he's not a bad actor, either -- not for the roles he plays. I think there's room in daytime (and in those Hallmark movies) for someone laid back and "sincere" who looks that good. I think he comes off as a "real" and genuine person in Port Charles, a town where we see plenty of showoff personalities. I'd MUCH rather get the Paevey and Swickard style of acting than to live through the Tomas that Alex Alegria gives us on BTG. -- A couple people here keep mentioning sweeps month and that GH seems to be ramping up for November, etc. Am I wrong that I think sweeps are much less important than they used to be? Do we really think soap writers stay up all night preparing for sweeps stories and then take off a couple months afterwards because sweeps is over? -- Yes, there's still some "nostalgia" for traditional sweeps, but ratings services are MUCH more sophisticated with technology, and they can keep advertisers updated CONSTANTLY on streaming, engagement, etc. There's no need to laser on a few months per year, especially since viewer habits are no longer rigid.
  18. LOL Thanks for giving me my laughs of the day. Appreciate it!😂
  19. Mona is a class traitor? Are you watching the same show as the rest of us? I'm sorry, but your post had me LOL.
  20. Fully agree. Thanks for your input on this. You explained it all much better than I could.
  21. I'm more a Mona fan than Jan fan, too. Mona played that walk away moment perfectly -- she doesn't suffer fools -- but why does the white character get to be "the voice of reason"? In the end, Jan offered to talk to Leslie again while clearly not expecting ANY changes in her. Jan got to be motherly while Mona walked away. I'm white, and I understand the importance of white characters as support on this show. Still, even though the majority of the cast is POC, we still get white people as best friends. Dani, Nicole, Naomi -- their besties are all white. Maybe this is minor and I'm just quibbling again, because I do understand the need to tie these white characters into the main cast.
  22. I hear you on that, but it's also clear that it "suddenly stopped" because of BTS pressures, NOT audience reaction.
  23. -- The Jack and Jennifer clips were great, especially since we got clips we haven't seen or haven't seen in forever. Here's to DAYS having a budget! -- And, yeah, Matthew Ashford sure was pretty when he was young. -- Lots of great comments on the show this week, and I've enjoyed reading them. -- I do wish DAYS 2025 would capitalize on its streaming status. All we get are different run times. Even without a budget, why can't the show be more "adult"? Even a little? Both content and language could use a mature upgrade. I thought we'd see it with the move to streaming, but it has not happened.
  24. GH completely blew it with the Sprina storyline. They had gold but kept holding back and then holding back some more -- teasing us as if they had unlimited time when we all knew NAC would be gone when his contract expired. The same thing is happening with Gio and Emma. It's drip-drip-drip -- again as if they have unlimited time. It's insane, and they're blowing it again.
  25. -- It's almost funny that Eve thinks Mona and Jan can get through to her mother. -- Mona told Eve exactly who Leslie is. Anyone with sense would refuse to be friends with Leslie after what she did. -- Jan acted tough with Leslie in the beginning, but it was all a facade for "Yes, I'll be your friend again and you can do anything you want." Jan got NOTHING from Leslie except a promise not to involve her in any more schemes. -- I am LOST as to why this show gives so much airtime to Tomas. I mean, he can't even say "Hello" like a normal human being. What is this show seeing that we're not? -- I did cringe when Leslie called Tomas "senor" and then said "Hasta luego" when he left. Why portray Leslie as a bigot? -- Please let Hayley go batsh!t. What's going on with her so far has either been dropped, breadcrumbed, or hasn't worked. -- Gotta hand it to Cady McCain. She uses a different accent in every appearance and still hasn't run out of them. -- I can appreciate camp, but Pamela behaves like she's auditioning for a role in The Naked Gun.
