  1. I've asked before and you won't respond, but I'll ask again. What's wrong with Jamey's breakdowns?
  2. Yeah, I think Lamon Archey is a good actor, and he's gorgeous. Criticizing him is laughable.
  3. Exactly. All this retcon stuff has me SMH.
  4. It's just awful writing, and it's the reason most of the posts here aren't about the show but about a Thriller video the cast put together.
  5. -- What happened on the show today was entertaining, but for me a lot of it was clunky in execution and dialogue. -- The conversation between Kat and Chelsea about Kat's sex life did not work. On some days, these characters come off as real and genuine, but their discussion was awkward as hell. Talking about "The O"? I didn't believe it. Yeah, I know it was an excuse for dumb Samantha to hear it and take the wrong cues, but still. -- How does Samantha walk away from school during the day for so long and to go to so many places? Yesterday she went to Orphey Gene's for lunch and set up her laptop. Today she went to Uptown. What kind of school does this girl attend? Bad execution of plot. -- Samantha getting caught on the couch with Nathan was cringe. There were a dozen other ways to have her get ahead of her skis, make wrong decisions, and get caught. Why go with something that just makes her look stupid? Again, bad execution. -- I have no problem with an argument among Nicole, Ted, and Carlton. But multiple scenes in front of the main desk at the hospital? Didn't work for me. Execution. Dialogue that seemed forced. -- I also have no problem with Smitty and Martin discussing their marriage with "the grands." But too much of that conversation sounded like one that came from the first month of the show, including the Dupree legacy and the activism. -- The execution that did work for me? The police station scenes with Jacob, Izaiah, and Elon.
  6. Very good question. It's hard to believe they won't answer this, because it matters.
  7. I agree. BTG has done a great job casting women, but they haven't nailed a casting addition to the show like this.
  8. -- Who runs the Y&R graphics department? That AI program that Phyllis showed Victor looked like Windows 98.
  9. -- The establishing shots on DAYS are the worst of any soap -- by far. I actually enjoy them because they're so laughably bad. It feels like Janet Spellman-Drucker hits the Google Machine and goes with the firt image she finds. -- Good scenes with Xander and Marlena. Paul Telfer makes it clear why he won the Emmy for Lead Actor. -- Also some really good work in the JJ and Theo scenes. I've said it before, but Tyler Joseph Andrews has been a great Theo recast. Casting absolutely nailed it. -- The rage room set was ridiculously small and just, well, ridiculous. My favorite part was when Sarah finished and then sat on all the broken glass.
  10. -- I haven't had much use for Michael E Knight on GH, but he was really good in those scenes today with Erika Slezak. -- I like Chris McKenna. Solid actor and comes off as a good human. But with Carly? McKenna just has no chemistry with Laura Wright. -- My biggest laugh today was seeing Anna sit at her desktop computer and type "Jenn Sidwell" into the Spyder search engine. Seriously? This woman has this high-level and powerful position, she knows all about the WSB, and her research is reduced to Googling??? 😂
  11. -- Brooke's delirious excitement over another Hope and Liam engagement is embarrassing. These people have no shame. -- Taylor had a couple quick therapy sessions with Deacon and already she's getting therapy from HIM -- and in his arms, ready for her first kiss.
  12. Rowena was mentioned about 6 times in the opening scene. Surely we're getting a Rowena, right?
  13. Oh, how I've missed you, Febreeze!
  14. I realize that. I still think they're lousy mothers.
  15. 😂 You mean most therapists don't hug their clients mid-session when the client sympathizes with the therapist's love life?
  16. I agree with ALL of this. I'm all about drama, but so much of this seems to be manufactured. The reactions of Maggie and Sarah towards Xander are insanely over-the-top. When Philip is the voice of reason, you know you're too far gone. Sarah and Maggie are being written as so unsympathetic it's hard to believe. And yeah, a romance with Brady and Sarah is laughable.
  17. Soaps are notorious for bad parenting, but Mariah and Tessa are in that club. Mariah is off by herself getting some sort of "rehab" while Tessa spends the night with Daniel at the GCAC. Poor Aria. Britney Spears sees her kids more than those two.
  18. Are we getting Halloween all week on this show?
  19. After Madison's awful looking dinner at the club, I can safely say that this place needs a new chef
  20. Errol, first of all, thanks for the information. I do have a question about your GH comment. If GH's ratings in the key demos is "a bit concerning," how are the demos of BTG not concerning? We're praising the BTG ratings increases and toasting champagne, but GH is worrisome? Their ratings are basically on par with Gates, and the show is gangbusters on streaming. I just don't think GH is in any kind of trouble. The show that should be furrowing its brow is Y&R, which has completely given up its lead in both key demo categories in the past few years. You can paint a picture of BTG being in some kind of demo trouble, but just saying it doesn't make it true. CBS soaps "used to easily improve the demos year over year"? Uh...how many years are you going back for that to be true? Because soap ratings -- like ALL of linear TV -- have been falling dramatically for YEARS. Considering all that's happened, the soaps are doing just fine. BTG is not in trouble. BTW, the demos for "The Talk" -- at least for this cited week -- were just a tad behind BTG, but it was still drawing 450,000 fewer viewers. That is A LOT. I understand why key demos matter, but I also know that a difference of 450k viewers matters, too.
  21. Dr. Taylor violated every aspect of her oath. Those scenes between Taylor and Deacon were actually hilarious because the dialogue was so absurd. Before getting into his lines, Sean Kanan almost broke. You could see him stifling a laugh because as Deacon he had to ask Taylor, "But how are YOU, Dr. Hayes?" He then had to go into Ridge leaving her "over and over and over." I could not stop laughing.
  22. I agree. I don't see a Smitty/Martin rewrite at all.
