  1. Why not? Why not get some payment/free stuff by having a lot of followers and giving attention to companies and brands? Some influencers are making HUGE money by sharing. Daytime salaries won't make anyone rich, so I have no problem with these actors attending soap events, doing cameos, having a big following that impresses their show, etc. The Camryn Grimes wedding news in interesting to her fans. She looks good in those pics, and I'm happy for her. Doesn't change how bad her role is right now, but still, good for her. I've been a Lucas Adams fan since he was on DAYS. He's going to have a baby? Good for him.
  2. -- Lamon Archey is very good looking, but I don't like the beard. Too much facial hair. -- These writers think it's cute that Johnny doesn't know where the vacuum is? in an 8'x10' apartment? -- I don't give a rat's ass about Sami's engagement. She's back for just a few days, so why should we be interested in this Dante character at all? -- Chandler Massey looks good, but what the hell was that shirt? Tragic. -- And why is Johnny wearing a jersey made for June? -- That baby shower was pretty lame. -- Leo AND Javi need to leave town. STAT. -- Leo said "between she and I" instead of "between her and me." Yeah, he's a real journalist. -- With all these returns, this episode should have been MUCH better. COMPLETE letdown.
  3. I agree. Plus, this pep talk from Martin The Ctiminal Lowlife Brother about how wonderful Laura is has me HOWLING! 😂
  4. When did I say those other characters were normal and not ludicrous? The fact is that Daphne has been ridiculous from day one. We spent MONTHS watching nothing but other characters smell her. She was written as someone important and powerful and prestigious. Now she's lost her accent, lost her all-powerful scent, and doing open mic at Deacon's pizza joint.
  5. 😂 So true. She's gone from being a ludicrous character to a different ludicrous character. The open mic singing was f.ucking HILARIOUS, it was so bad 🤣, especially accompanied with those (intended to be) sultry looks between Deacon and Taylor.
  6. I think your best bet would be to subscribe to Walmart+ Their promotion for a year's subscription at $49 (half price) started today. It includes not only free shipping and free delivery from your local store, but also a subscription to Peacock.
  7. -- Amazing how June has gone from paying for lunch with Monopoly money to dispensing words of wisdom. I have grown fond of her, though. -- Izaiah needs a lawyer, so Tomas agrees to meet him immediately at Uptown? Such an agreeable attorney. -- While I can't defend Kat at all saying she'll end things with her father, if I have to choose sides, I'm still Team Kat. -- Eva has done MULTIPLE awful things to Kat -- things Kat knows about as well as things she doesn't, like the covering up for her mother. I can understand why Kat hasn't forgiven this girl who not only upended her life but who has done terrible things. -- Tomas is garbage, but that's beside the point. He's Kat's garbage. Eva trying to steal him and then screwing him is bad. Many families never come back from that. -- Much of this is on Ted, who hasn't handled any of this properly, it at all. Neither has Nicole, frankly. Do now we have daughter Kat acting like she's lost her mind. Gee, I wonder why. -- Eva lost me today when she barged into a house uninvited. No, "The door was unlocked" does not make it ok. This is Eva taking ownership of something that isn't hers, and that's what Kat sees: someone taking what isn't hers. -- Calling Kat a bitch once was understandable. More than once? Does she think she's Cardi B or Nikki Minaj? Yeah, Eva, we know you learned from your criminal mother.
  8. Whoever commented on Datalounge about Josh Swickard's hair reads this board. I checked DL last night and he name-checked me ("ranger") on the topic.
  9. Why didn't Cane call Phyllis IMMEDIATELY when his AI program was stolen and used to attack his company? Rhetorical question, because I know the answer is "Terrible writing."
  10. Completely agree. Roark has been exceptional as Jeremy, and there was an immediate physical and emotional connection with Roark Critchlow in those scenes.
  11. Yep. I was almost ready to give her a little slack -- and then she mentioned fighting for custody of her grandkids. Chad should have laughed in that sanctimonious bitch's face. The accident was definitely ALL on the kid. Blaming Chad for that is the height of ignorance and having NO understanding about raising children.
  12. Yep. This show gets so much right with so many couples, so it's confounding that they missed the entire dartboard with this couple.
  13. Do any of you know if Josh Swickard (Chase) wears a hairpiece? There's a poster on Datalounge who regularly mentions "the rug" on Josh's head. If it is, it's a really good one.
  14. Time for another Emmy reel for Heather Tom.
  15. -- It's hilarious that DONNA of all people is being used to rehab $Bill's character, saying that he's finally become the man he was meant to be. I mean, what? 😂 -- Still laughing when $Bill told Katie she had to "come home" so they could face all these problems with Will. -- Of course, dumbass Katie says yes. The Logan women are nothing if not stupid. -- Will & Electra make a perfect couple in the sense that neither actor is very good. Crew Morrow is good looking, but that and his nepo roots are the reason he's there. It helps that Laneya Grace is worse than he is.
  16. They can't redo Ashley and Andre, not with this actress. It will never work, because she's not built for the role of anyone who could be "Andre's girlfriend." She doesn't have it.
  17. Sonny was bearable during Nixon Falls, but that was just a blip -- and such a blip that it feels like The show wants us to forget it ever happened. At this pojnt, the character Sonny is awful in both writing and in execution.
  18. How does this man still have the Head Writer job? The Cane story doesn't even play well on paper. It was poorly thought out from the jump, and the execution is embarrassing. I have to wonder what these actors think of the writing these days....I mean, these years.
  19. Y&R has a couple DOZEN problems -- a big age difference in a couple is not one of them.
  20. -- That ending was ridiculously directed. No words. -- WAY too much Leo and Gwen. Yes, Rikaart is doing nice work, but the show has done nothing to make us care about Gwen. And why should we listen when she says that Leo has a heart? SHE'S the voice of heart and soul? -- Cwikly and Ford seemingly can't make up their minds as to what this show should be. Going back to Dr. Rolf? Really??? -- And even though I know DAYS, why in the hell would EJ go to Rolf and a just-released-from-prison doctor to get his drug to market? He can't pay for someone who's smart and NOT a criminal or insane? -- Mark Greene is not coming off as a doctor since his return. Maybe he needs the lab coat, but what I'm seeing isn't working.
  21. -- Martin was WAY over-the-top in his attack on Kat. Telling her "This is all your fault" is absolutely insane, especially since this is all about Samantha the Brat overhearing an animated Kat. All this talk about good parenting was wasted in that one scene. -- It's pretty bad when Kat comes off as the mature one. -- Had to laugh at Nicole doing another drive-by. She floated into the Smitty and Martin residence, dropped a couple lines, then floated right out before having ANY meaningful discussion with Samantha or anyone else. She looks good doing it, though!😂 -- Someone here mentioned this week that BTG is the best-dressed soap -- next to B&B. Sorry, but that is just not true. BOLD cannot hold a candle to GATES. The wardrobe on this show is by far the finest of all the soaps. -- Still no patients in the hospital scenes 🤣 -- Leslie has so much money that Eva's gets her to pay for the operation of some rando? Just absurd. -- If you watch this show and your takeaway is that "Jon Lindstrom is sexy and fine," I have no words. -- Will Joey be killed off? I hope so, but I have my doubts. MVJ clearly loves him, and they're TRYING to round off the character by giving him some softer edges -- while still playing him as a killer and a really bad man. I don't think it's working. -- "They adore you, but they fight me at every step," says Martin to Smitty, completely ignoring that he flies off the handle ALL THE TIME. -- Speaking of flying off the handle, that's what Kat did when she heard Eva call Ted "Dad." Therapist Nicole raised two children who cannot handle stress and are over-emotional ALL THE TIME.
  22. -- I like Chris McKenna, but this Brennan character does not work. He has no chemistry with Carly, and his reliance on JOSS as a major player with the WSB is beyond ludicrous. -- This show loves Eden McCoy, but that begs the question why they'd stick her in an impossible to believe story. -- Another mess is the "Laura is up for re-election" story. Sorry, you can't mention the opposing candidate, a debate, and the election once a month and get people to care. Why should I be invested at all?
  23. I have no problem with Lucas having an affair with Sienna. The soaps have been inundated over the years with much older guys screwing and marrying younger women. They were mother and son on DAYS. So what? Viewers don't know they're watching a different soap? We constantly ask the soaps to be up to date and topical and sex positive, but THIS makes people upset? GMAFB.
