I hope he's able to stick around. He's grown on me.

DAYS: Promo week of November 13 (Nicole)
I know. I feel like we've seen this story SOOOO many times now. The show needs some fresh writing...STAT.

ITA. On that show, the constant partner switching has gotten old. As is the character of Carter! They put them together and then...nothing. Both of those actors should be front burner. Instead, we get Liam/Steffy/Hope/Thomas for the millionth time.

I think Tricia Cast could have chemistry with a rock. She's that good. I wish we could have her full-time. I love Tucker and Ashley, too. The best scene partner ED has had in decades. Phyllis/Danny/Cricket is old-school fun. I'm really enjoying Audra. It's nice to have a person of color, Nate, truly front burner for a change. Having Mamie back has been awesome as she adds so much to both the Winters/Barber and Abbott families. For the con, I totally agree about the business storylines. It's gotten to the point of being ridiculous. Some episodes feel like non-stop conversations about mergers, takeover, who's going to be the CEO/COO, etc etc. WHO CARES? Besides Jabot, do the writers even know what Chancellor-Winters or Newman Enteprises even does, much less Kirsten, Inc. LOL. I don't know why the writers/network think that their average viewer would be interested AT ALL in these "corporate stories" (a term I use loosely for them). The show needs to get out of the boardroom and back into the bedroom IMO.

Now that BB is writing again, I'm scared we're going to go back to The Liam Show.

YR: Nikki/Clair Spoiler
Exactly! This could have been an opportunity to finally do something with Noah. Definitely! I loved the beginning of the story with Patty's return and SH's performance. I think the character could have been long-term but they took her too far to Crazy Town.

YR: Nikki/Clair Spoiler
Even though we suspected it, I wish they would have held off just a little longer in revealing that Claire is nuts. Let her really make in-roads with Nikki, and then turn on her.

YR: Nikki/Clair Spoiler
ITA...the business storylines: mergers, firings, etc, etc have grown beyond tiresome. I could care less who's going to be CEO or COO where. The Claire storyline actually had my attention. I hope they don't rush it too much.

B&B November 2023 Discussion Thread
Exactly...that made ZERO sense. They need at least one other restaurant/cafe set for variety.

B&B November 2023 Discussion Thread
One thing I've liked under the strike writers is that we get two stories within an episode. I sooo hope when BB's work starts airing again we don't go back to one single story dominating the show for weeks at a time with no variety.

Yay for being a Liam-light month!

Bold returns
ITA....killing off Aly was super misguided, and Rick and Maya deserved a much better exit story if they were going to get rid of the characters.

Oh, Lord. Chelsea is back. SNOOZE. The show needs more new blood like Claire to mix things up. That being said, I wonder why the show hasn't also put Heather in Adam's orbit. That would make sense and add conflict to Daniel's story if he disapproves.

I really am beginning to wonder if JM is actually retiring. If so, I'm glad they're at least giving him a big send-off story, and if Eric does die, are they going to bring all SIX of his kids back for the funeral. I can't remember. Did Kristen and Felicia return for Stephanie's funeral?

Y&R & B&B November 2023 Spoilers
Oh, Lord. Chelsea's back? IMO I don't see a place for this character at this point. Just like Scott Clifton on B&B, with Chelsea, I like the actress, but the character just feels done. Do we REALLY need another round of her between Billy and Adam??? This is one thing I think British soaps, such as Hollyoaks, do better than the US ones. They will drop a character once it's been played out to make room for new ones.

THE HORROR!!!

B&B October 2023 Discussion Thread
Same here. I love the actor, but the character has entered the "beyond annoying" realm. Maybe if they Jason Morgan him and have his entire memory wiped out. LOL. But, Liam as a character just feels done. Zende gave Luna the once over with an interested look. MAYBE they're thinking of using him as part of a triangle with RJ and Luna. It's a shame they don't do more with the character. The actor is gorgeous.

BOLD: Possible SPOILER
Oh, wow. I wonder if they really are killing him off because JM wanted to retire. If he does leave, I hope they have characters move into the Forrester mansion. It would be a shame to lose that set since it was there from day one.

Ratings from the 80's
Thanks so much for the SFT ratings! I wonder what NBC's expectations were ratings-wise when they picked up the show from CBS.
-
Ratings from the 80's
I was curious if anyone knew what was the highest rating SFT ever achieved on NBC.

Ratings from the 80's
As much as I loved AW, I wonder if SB would have had a better chance if it had followed DAYS. It feels that those two shows would have been a better back-to-back fit.

YR Promo: Lauralees 40th
I wonder if they'll just have Christine and Danny end up together, and then they both leave town.

B&B October 2023 Discussion Thread
Wow...they dragged Zende and Paris out of the backrooms of Forrester! When was the last time we saw them? January?? The room for the fashion show did look small, but I know budgets aren't what they used to be. I love Esther, but still don't understand how she ended up there...or why we're getting so much story about Charlie all of a sudden. Thomas and Hope were MIA which also doesn't make much sense...budget I assume. I still predict that Eric will win the fashion show and collapse immediately afterwards.

Y&R October 2023 Discussion Thread
It's so funny that you mentioned Nick not parenting his kids. I hadn't watched much for a few years, and Nick had a line about his son, Christian. I was like...who the hell is that? We never see him with his younger kid, and rarely even with Summer.
