  1. Logan could do snark. It took Strasser awhile to get back into Dorian. I missed Princi.
  2. One can repeat the same things over and over and over and over. It doesn’t make them true.
  3. Jill Farren Phelps got Ellen Parker an Emmy Award! The decision to kill off Maureen was brilliant. The story, the fallout, the writing. So many deserved Emmy Awards.
  4. Didn’t James DePaiva throw a couch in frustration of Linda Gottlieb?
  5. JFP’s best friends in life are women. Do research. And some of her best friends are the women who starred on the shows that she produced.
  6. No, I wasn’t there but put me in the ‘I Know Things’ category. 🙂
  7. I found Maureen dull. And I do laugh that firing Ellen Parker freed up money to hire Justin Deas. They were hardly on the same salary scale.
  8. I’m done reading the Texas book and ready to pass it on for free, if anyone wants it. It was good. I enjoyed reading it because I watched the show. Like others have said, I wish it had gotten more in depth of the problems that made the show fail.
  9. Too funny. So Ellen Parker “thinks” Jill had to free up money for Justin and it becomes confirmation. Was Ellen in on the budget discussions? lol I was a watcher of GL during that period and Maureen was indeed totally boring.
  10. I have a hard time feeling sorry for someone who has 8 weeks of vacation saying that they are overworked.
  11. Just to go back to Beverlee. Bev’s last episode aired on 8/17/92. Going back a year from that date, she appeared in 113 episodes. She could not have possibly been working 4 days a week from sunrise to sunset. Facts matter.
  12. Completely agree with you that while Beverlee's resignation was dramatic, I've never had the feeling that she was angry. It's just something she was determined to do. As I pointed out, this was not the first time that Beverlee left a show because she felt overworked or made a big deal about leaving. Per the Texas book, Beverlee left that show because she felt overworked and played "Take This Job and Shove It' on the soundstage on her last day. She had a flair for exiting dramatically.
  13. Yikes! BTG loses a million viewers from B&B! That can’t be good.
  14. Where is the evidence that Beverlee loathed JFP? Beverlee loathed working. She expressed the same overworked issues at AW and Texas long before having the same overworked issues at GL. Scott McKinsey is a good friend of JFP to this day. I doubt he’d be a friend of someone his mother loathed.
  15. I’m reading the Texas book. There is a pattern where Beverlee always felt overworked on AW, Texas and GL. Her last day at Texas where she played the song Take This Job and Shove It, is not very flattering.
  16. The most useless EP in soap history! Janet Spellman-Drucker was there the ENTIRE time that Albert Alarr was wrecking havoc and she did NOTHING to improve the situation. She knew what was happening and enabled it. Good riddance!
  17. Wow at Thursday’s show. Heather Tom is amazing. She can do it all. Very Emmy worthy stuff. Kudos to Brad for the idea and Heather for writing, directing and acting in a great episode.
  18. Excellent episode by Ron Carlivati! There have been some very bad episodes of BTG. Today was not one of them.
  19. According to Programming Insider, BTG had 146,000 viewers last Thursday on BET and the Friday show had 81,000 viewers on BET.
  20. I don’t even know what a Jarly is and I watch the show everyday. I haven’t seen any character named Jarly.
  21. I’m not so sure about the Maureen Garrett/Mimi Torchin thing. Mo had a long term relationship with her partner Janet back then. Also, Megan talked about Frank Beaty and his breakdown and said he freaked out on 26th Street. GL was on East 44th Street then. I do question a couple of her recollections.
  22. Ron Carlivati is going out with a bang! No wonder Michele Val Jean snapped him up immediately. Can’t wait for next week. Except for the acting of whatever his name is who plays Johnny. Terrible actor.
