  1. Completely agree with you that while Beverlee's resignation was dramatic, I've never had the feeling that she was angry. It's just something she was determined to do. As I pointed out, this was not the first time that Beverlee left a show because she felt overworked or made a big deal about leaving. Per the Texas book, Beverlee left that show because she felt overworked and played "Take This Job and Shove It' on the soundstage on her last day. She had a flair for exiting dramatically.
  2. Yikes! BTG loses a million viewers from B&B! That can’t be good.
  3. Where is the evidence that Beverlee loathed JFP? Beverlee loathed working. She expressed the same overworked issues at AW and Texas long before having the same overworked issues at GL. Scott McKinsey is a good friend of JFP to this day. I doubt he’d be a friend of someone his mother loathed.
  4. I’m reading the Texas book. There is a pattern where Beverlee always felt overworked on AW, Texas and GL. Her last day at Texas where she played the song Take This Job and Shove It, is not very flattering.
  5. The most useless EP in soap history! Janet Spellman-Drucker was there the ENTIRE time that Albert Alarr was wrecking havoc and she did NOTHING to improve the situation. She knew what was happening and enabled it. Good riddance!
  6. Wow at Thursday’s show. Heather Tom is amazing. She can do it all. Very Emmy worthy stuff. Kudos to Brad for the idea and Heather for writing, directing and acting in a great episode.
  7. Excellent episode by Ron Carlivati! There have been some very bad episodes of BTG. Today was not one of them.
  8. According to Programming Insider, BTG had 146,000 viewers last Thursday on BET and the Friday show had 81,000 viewers on BET.
  9. I don’t even know what a Jarly is and I watch the show everyday. I haven’t seen any character named Jarly.
  10. I’m not so sure about the Maureen Garrett/Mimi Torchin thing. Mo had a long term relationship with her partner Janet back then. Also, Megan talked about Frank Beaty and his breakdown and said he freaked out on 26th Street. GL was on East 44th Street then. I do question a couple of her recollections.
  11. Ron Carlivati is going out with a bang! No wonder Michele Val Jean snapped him up immediately. Can’t wait for next week. Except for the acting of whatever his name is who plays Johnny. Terrible actor.
  12. Yikes! BTG loses almost 900,000 viewers from B&B. That’s a huge drop. Households 1.7 for B&B drop to a 1.1. That is not good.
  13. Bingo! They chose an insider (Spellman-Drucker) who was there the entire time Alarr was wrecking havoc and she did nothing. She has been a disaster as Co-EP. Nothing will change with the new headwriting duo. Same ole same ole.
  14. Completely disagree! I love Leo & Javi! The actors obviously love working together. They have chem.
  15. Nope. Strike the word LONG from my post. Yes, once Ron is gone he's gone. No more pay. At the same time, I don't believe that the new writers are editing Ron's stories 33 days before their material airs. And, Days is now recording 10 months ahead.
  16. You cannot be serious? Ron’s material is written long before it’s recorded and they’d have to pay Ron and Paula and Jeanne if they edited stuff. Didn’t happen. This is Ron’s material. No, it doesn’t.
  17. I hope he's practicing his smirks. He cannot act.
  18. I have a pic that I won't share of Tom & Lisa cuddling in the green room at GL. 1981. I was there and took the pic.
  19. I'd put them in a list of actors who want to keep their job by butt kissing.
  20. Agreed. But not surprising. What else does he have to do but smirk. I wish he'd stay away from Days. He's dull.
  21. I LOVE Leo. The show must get great feedback about him or they wouldn’t keep writing for him for years now. I read Facebook boards that love Leo as well. I’d say that Ron and Jamey are winning in life! For someone who can’t write, Ron has been employed steadily for almost 30 years in daytime, winning some Emmys and Writers Guild Awards along the way. Jamey has also done well. Had his own show, written Days for years, and wrote some other show. I like Ron and I cannot stand Jamey but facts are facts. They have been successful in their careers and Michele Val Jean wants them at BTG. She knows what she’s doing. Kudos to both Ron and Jamey for getting gigs at the hottest show in daytime.
  22. Gosh, there were so many GOOD writers back then. Ron’s gone and Jamey probably wants the Headwriter position. Shudder! I wish Days has a storyline worth watching. Ron checked out.
