  1. Nothing about the conception, birth, or existence of Dominic has been good. It's all been offensive crap around the LGBTQ characters and characters of color ... being of service to rich white clueless entitled Abby, who was upset that she did not conceive after trying for only a few weeks. And then Tessa/Mariah considering adoption which would be wonderful, if it wasn't due to Mariah feeling an empty womb. And then the pings agains Tessa's status. Tessa has stated many times that she is gay. She's not bi. She got together with Noah only as a scam to get money for her sister. She never loved Noah. Yet now they have Noah making eyes at Tessa every day. Devon is made to be the bad guy in the whole sperm donor, womb rental fiasco. Modern families in real life do have sperm donors and gestational surrogates and shared godparents, etc. But Y&R took the potential for a good story and made as offensive as possible. I could say more, but this whole UNENDING storyline makes me angry, and I need to stop thinking about it.
  2. I keep seeing "TA" in the news about Novak. What does that stand for?
  3. On Jan 8th, Rick Hearst posted on instagram that he's running his mother's restaurant in Atlanta. (He has posted about this before). In the current post, he tells anyone in the Atlanta area to come visit him at Nonna’s Family Kitchen for a delicious meal. https://www.instagram.com/tv/CYe9XKzqPbu/ https://www.nonnasfamilykitchen.com/about
  4. Rick Hearst is COO of his mother's Italian family restaurant in Atlanta. https://www.soapsindepth.com/posts/general-hospital/rick-hearst-shares-a-special-message-with-his-fans https://www.instagram.com/tv/CYe9XKzqPbu/ https://www.instagram.com/p/BbAsWObnPYx/ https://www.nonnasfamilykitchen.com/about
  5. I was confused by that headline. I thought they were saying that she objected to having covid protocols. NO. It's the opposite of that. What the article says is she thinks the covid protocols in the schools aren't strong enough - and she wants them to be stronger. They really need to create clearer headlines in tweets. (I've never seen "squid game" so that reference was meaningless to me)
  6. It's Trina. zoomed and brightened:
  7. About 50 years ago, when I was in high school (Yes I'm an older person) ... my dad was into tennis. He played for fun and not at a fancy place. He and I we watched matches on TV, and I learned the scoring terminology. I remember watching Connors, Năstase, and other stars on TV. My dad took me to a match in the early 1970s -- It was one of these matches at Longwood: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Pro_Tennis_Championships This was kind of big deal for our ordinary family to get tickets. So long ago, that I don't remember who I saw play. But since then, I haven't followed men's tennis. Nowadays, I only follow women's tennis, such as Serena and Naomi. And even with women's tennis, I don't pay a lot of attention -- some but not a lot. I don't even know most of the names of the current male tennis stars, LOL. I rarely visit this thread. I didn't know any of the commotion about Novak until he kept popping up in regular news headlines. So then I started reading in depth about his situation. What an entitled a$$hole. It brings me back to memories of 1970s tennis when a few of the stars were arrogant pricks. I don't know how some of them would've handled the current Covid guidelines, but I suppose they might have been just as stupid as Novak.
  8. Novak whining about detention. Meanwhile that's happening and it's not reported about much. (Sorry for being off-topic from tennis. Just commenting on how entitled Novak seems to think he is.)
  9. Wow this whole twitter thread is more examples of the same. SMH
  10. This sounds good at the beginning. But I'm not sure what his final point is.
  11. @YRfan23 Thanks for doing the stats. Fyi, Katrina Bowden was listed in the closing credits through 3/12/2021 as "Florence Fulton". And then changed to as "Florence Logan" since the credits of 3/29/2021. The character name was legally changed in episode of 3/25/2021 when Brooke, Donna, and Katie presented her with a surprise document with name change from Fulton to Logan. Bowden was listed in the contract credits as "Logan" since 3/29/2021 until end of Nov. 2021 when she was removed from contract credits. But the character name change wasn't updated in the episode count archive. (I didn't check every week, so I'm only assuming that the credits showed her consistently as Logan). LOL, I didn't notice it before, probably because I didn't want this retcon to her being Storm's daughter.
  12. Re: the Jan 6th anniversary speeches by Biden and Harris. It felt to me that they are using this as a springboard to advance the voting rights legislation. (They didn't mention anything about that in their speeches. Just an impression I had.)
  13. January 6, 2022 Vice President Harris and President Biden address the nation from Statuary Hall inside the US Capitol building, on the anniversary of the attack. via C-SPAN . Just the speeches. No commentary.
  14. I see that Michael Fairman deleted that tweet and his link. SOD had also tweeted about this and then deleted it. Daytime Confidential clarified: https://daytimeconfidential.com/2022/01/02/susan-flannery-to-appear-on-e-daily-pop "UPDATE: Flannery's appearance on Daily Pop has been cancelled for today. No word on if or when it will be rescheduled."
  15. The photo chart was photographed in the makeup room (accidentally caught in the background of a selfie) on December 15th. We catch glimpses of this type of cast photo chart every year or two when someone accidentally shows it in the background of their pic, and usually each time (but not always) the chart has been updated with a new arrangement of photos ... but we don't know how often they update the photochart. We don't know the exact date hat this version of the photochart was created. It could be recent, it could have been there for a few months. But it's probably recent since all of the pics came from professional publicity headshots - and Linsey G. did new headshots in early December. And yeah we don't know how long the actors newly on contract (Zach etc) ... may have been on contract prior to this glimpse of this version of the photochart.
  16. One year ago this week, the January 6th terrorists attacked the US Capitol. To read how the day went, start reading on page 2287 of this thread. We were in here all day posting what was happening as it happened. Through page 2309 of this thread. Twenty-four pages of hell. Also courage as the electoral college votes were counted and certified by responsible politicians -- despite the terrorists' efforts to derail it, and crazed politicians' efforts to derail it. And the police who protected the congress, senate, and staffers. It is exceedingly triggering for our country to remember all that. It's also exhausting. And it was so refreshingly wonderfully boring to see Biden's presidency. But we must never forget Jan. 6, 2021. Don't bring the participants to fame. Bring them to shame. And focus on the heroic members of congress, senate, staffers, and police who did their jobs to make sure the election was certified. Never forget.
