  1. yeah that was a clickbait headline on the cover. He's not retiring. The cover says Burton joins DAYS but inside it says Beyond Salem. more clickbait
  2. He said they're separated. So she's not cheating. But still, why announce it in the way that he did? The new child will be his stepchild, but still part of his family, and still sibling to the other children.
  3. Posting this on one's social media while asking for privacy ... is a choice.
  4. To quote @KLN Kenny's post on this thread from January 29, about the show's decision to kill off Abigail: "It's a casting and creative decision both, I hear." Maybe DAYS was trying to figure out what to do about the revolving Abigails problem. And meanwhile they found someone who they think will work out for the show as Stephanie. Just speculating here, as others have speculated here and elsewhere. Maybe someone thought well, we've got another heroine (Stephanie) cast, let's just emphasize her for a while, and kill Abigail off for the time being. Not a "replacement" character. Just a redirection of focus for the time being. I think there's room on the canvas for both characters. But just a redirect from Jack's daughter to Steve's daughter for a while. I'd like all the Johnsons on canvas of course. I'd like Adrienne to be discovered to alive. I'd like all the Johnson cousins (JJ, Abigail, Joey, Stephanie, Sonny, and Sonny's brothers) to all be on canvas. But at least we'll have Sonny and Stephanie for now.
  5. Brad Bell said in SOD for the May Sweeps preview, quote: "Katie is not really available right now because Heather [Tom] is directing DYNASTY" Heather Tom seems to be doing okay, she appeared April 24 in a selfie on Christie Clark's instagram https://www.instagram.com/p/Ccvp-b0Dsw6/
  6. Season Three of All Rise debuts on OWN, June 7, 2022
  7. Such a contrast. Barash is totally ok with acknowledging that Jake is a nothing character. But in RSW's interviews, all the time, RSW paints Ben as a hero.
  8. This was the only spoiler pic for Tues 2 May
  9. @Errol Thanks. That's great that both soaps can be streamed online May 4th at their regular airtimes.
  10. Update, per @Errol Wednesday, May 4, 2022 - on Broadcast CBS television. affecting CBS soaps in western timezones (Mountain, Pacific, and Alaska). Real Madrid vs. Manchester City (at Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, Madrid) UPDATE: The Tuesday May 3 match will NOT air on CBS broadcast television. See Errol's post here: https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/61106-article‘uefa-champions-league’-semifinals-to-preempt-cbs-shows-on-the-west-coast/
  11. It has happened a few times before that Thaao has posted something and then later realized it hadn't aired yet, and then deleted it.
  12. https://twitter.com/SouthernGh/status/1517546302669791232 Thaao confirmed on April 22 that Marci's gone, and then deleted his tweet.
  13. Tribute to Alice Dunnigan and Ethel Payne, who were the first Black women in the White House press corps. The first part of Gayle King's speech is off-topic rambling, which you can ignore. The tribute starts at 2:35.
  14. Biden's speech at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. Fyi for context: Earlier at the same dinner, there were several different tributes: *A tribute to Alice Dunnigan and Ethel Payne, who were the first Black women in the White House press corps. *An "in memoriam" video honoring all the journalists from around the world who have died reporting in Ukraine. *The university students who just received journalism scholarship awards from the White House Correspondents' Association. Biden references these tributes in his speech. Biden's speech starts out with some dull jokes. At one point, in all seriousness, Biden said he was stunned that CBS had hired Mick Mulvaney (and then made a joke about that) The best part of Biden's speech, by far, is the latter part, starting at the 7-minute mark, where he talks about the importance of serious journalism (and satire).
  15. Donielle Artese, who plays Beth (TR's ex) is a transplant recipient (She has done many interviews about this before being cast on DAYS.) She posted on her facebook in November that someone in the DAYS hair-and-makeup room was not vaxxed and got COVID. Even though Donielle is fully vaxxed, its still very dangerous for her to be exposed to COVID. The taping of Donielle's scenes had to be rescheduled. She finally got the show to ensure that she only work with vaxxed hair-and-makeup staff.
  16. One of the "post-Olympics preview" videos Days released back in February. Now we know these scenes air during week of May 2nd.
  17. Yes I agree. Many of the wealthy politicians (or politicians with wealthy donors) don't want their tax money to be used to help children. It's disgusting.
  18. This paragraph from soapdirt is similar to what's in SOD. SOD adds that the project Chance takes on (that gives him purpose) is solving all of Rey's unsolved cases.
  19. LOL soapdirt made that up and also says Phyllis is destablized. But that's not in SOD at all. Entertaining though. SOD says Phyllis just wants to bury Diane, LOL, but it's a figure of speech. I don't know anything; but my speculation is that Phyllis is going to try to do whatever she can expose Diane as dangerous or whatever, to keep Diane away from Summer and Kyle. More like Phyllis assuming that Diane will deceive. There's nothing about Imani in SOD either, but soapdirt's prediction of her flirting with Nate is a safe bet since it happens once every month or two. (sigh) SOD does mention a "conflict" between Nate/Elana because Nate will be working long hours as an executive. (a non-story, I guess). The Teriah wedding preview in SOD doesn't mention Noah. It's reasonable to predict he'd be interfering, because that's what he does, but SOD doesn't even mention him anywhere. I don't think I am allowed to quote an an entire article, but I will quote this paragraph: About the Teriah wedding, Griffith says "Their wedding will be emotionally significant and a huge event. This will be a wedding unlike anything you’ve ever seen in daytime. It’ll be spectacular and heartfelt and wild and romantic and crazy-in-love beautiful." SOD says Jill comes to town for the Chancellor/Winters Media launch party but it doesn't says she's pushy or indignant about that. It says only that she comes to the party. Separately, Jill will have something to say about Diane's presence in town.
  20. Congress overwhelmingly passed legislation that would allow President Biden to use a World War II-era law to quickly supply weapons to Ukraine "on loan". This law was created 80 years ago to assist the UK in battling Hitler. England was being bombed, and the US "loaned" the UK the equipment to defend itself. This was done before the US decided to enter WW II. The was a workaround so that the US could remain "neutral" about WW II. This legislation to loan military stuff to Ukraine was passed unanimously in the US Senate. In the House of Representatives, the vote was 410 yes and only 10 members voted against it. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/04/28/us/politics/ukraine-lend-lease-arms.html Archived copy of same NYTimes article - the archive has no paywall: https://archive.ph/njYn6 Here is the history of the law from 80 years ago: https://www.history.com/topics/world-war-ii/lend-lease-act-1
