  1. I posted the clip above of Thomas talking to himself saying he did it. https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/61775-bb-october-2022-discussion-thread/page/4/#comment-1818836 (That was from Tues 11 Oct episode). After watching that scene, I don't see how Douglas was involved.
  2. Wow. Thanks for posting this. Wonderful!
  3. CBS finally confirmed they will air the 1:00pm Eastern Thurs Oct 13 hearing of Jan. 6 Committee https://www.cbsnews.com/live-updates/house-january-6-committee-hearing-watch-live-stream-2022-10-11/
  4. @Errol and everyone ... Peacock has re-opened / re-offered the $19.99/year deal, to new customers registering between Oct. 10, 2022 and Nov. 19, 2022. Terms: https://www.peacocktv.com/offer-terms/fall Registering after that defaults to $49.99/year. If you signed up during the September sale period, or if you sign up now, the price of $49.99/year kicks in after your first 12months.
  5. January 6 Committee hearing to be Thurs Oct 13 at 1pm Eastern. This was announced last week, but there has been little publicity. Speculation that they might show excerpts from a filmmaker's raw footage about Roger Stone. Speculation that recordings of Ginni Thomas's recent testimony to the committee may or may not be shown. So far only NBC, MSNBC, C-SPAN, and PBS have announced they will air it live. CBSnews and ABCnews announced last week the date and time of the hearing -- but they mostly just repeated the AP news report, the CNN report, or the MSNBC report. There has been nothing (yet) confirming that CBS and ABC will air it live. I hope they do. I don't care if the soaps are preempted. The hearing should air.
  6. Zeinab Badawi of BBC Radio asked Maggie Haberman if she had put “profits before principles”. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/maggie-haberman-bbc-donald-trump-b2199416.html
  7. John Oliver on "crime reporting"
  8. Interesting that Cecily Strong wasn't in the credits, but as you said, she'll return soon. https://www.tvinsider.com/1063419/saturday-night-live-cecily-strong-absence-season-48/ Cecily is off doing a play, okay but why not in the SNL credits? Last season Kate McKinnon was gone for a large part of the season, because she was filming that miniseries about Tiger King -- which was filming in Australia. Yet Kate continued to appear in the SNL opening credits during the months she was away. Maybe this year they are doing credits differently, or maybe Cecily's contract is arranged differently than Kate's was. Who knows.
  9. That was last year. October 2, 2021 (episode 1 of season 47)
  10. Star Trek Picard panel at New York ComicCon

  13. The actress in the promo isn't LeVar's daughter Mica Burton. That's Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut who plays LaForge's other daughter. https://collider.com/star-trek-picard-season-3-cast-mica-burton-ashlei-sharpe-chestnut-levar-burton/ "In the new trailer ... Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut at the helm of the USS Titan as Ensign Sidney La Forge. During the panel, it was revealed that Mica Burton would be playing her younger sister Ensign Alandra La Forge. Sharpe Chestnut's Sidney is listed as Geordi La Forge's eldest daughter and the helmsman of the USS Titan, a ship that was once captained by Geordi's friend and shipmate, Will Riker. Mica Burton's Alandra is Geordi's youngest daughter and she works alongside her father — which likely means she's following in his footsteps as an engineer, or possibly that the pair work together on another ship." ------------------- Mica Burton does some hosting and interviewing -- she was one of the hosts of the 2021 Star Trek Day (a virtual conference via zoom on youtube) Here's Mica interviewing LeVar in 2019 at a video game thing.
  14. Did you read even the post you were replying to? That's not a picture of a prop. It's not something from the TV series. That is a photo of the real-life gravestone where Tolkien and his wife Edith are buried. In the Rings of Power series recent episode, Galadriel tells the teen boy Theo about how she met her husband Celeborn. This story was created for Rings of Power. Yes Galadriel is married to Celeborn, but the specific story of how they met does not seem to have been mentioned in Tolkien's literature. This story was created for the Amazon series. Swede was posting that the story of the Tolkien characters Beren and Luthien and how they met was *canon* in Tolkien literature, ........ and that the Beren/Luthien first-time meeting seems to have been copied (co-opted) for Rings of Power to tell how Galadriel and Celeborn met. Swede's point was that the canon story of how Beren and Luthien met... had a correspondence to how Tolkien and his wife Edith met in real life. An important significance. And then to illustrate the point, they posted a photo of the real-life gravestone where Tolkien and his wife Edith are buried, and you can see that it mentions the names Beren and Luthien on the gravestone.
  15. PROMO: "Elate Goodbye" --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PREVIEW CLIPS:
  16. Great new addition to the cast, Marcello Hernández
  17. I remember that Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis Jr were in the 2021 Waltons movie, filming in a southern state. Also they were narrating part of Questlove's Summer of Soul documentary. And they also were promoting their new album of Beatles covers. They were very busy! Some of the reasons why Marilyn wasn't available for some of the Price family storylines on DAYS.
  18. Thank you! I was just going to post to ask you how you found the gift link.
  19. Re: October 13 hearing: In the past, when there was a 1pm Eastern hearing, CBS aired half of Y&R on the east coast and the full episode online, with no official preemption of Y&R. In the past, when there was a 1pm Eastern hearing, B&B and GH were usually fully preempted. I checked regular TV listings websites and the daily listings for Oct 13 show the soaps with new episodes. Maybe those listings sites simply aren't yet updated. Curious if the soaps will follow the previous pattern for the hearings on Oct 13 or not. @Errol have you heard anything?
