The Kristen/Susan storyline would have been so much better had it not solely been built around hi tech masks and dopplegangers. There was no need for a Sarah mask or a Kate mask. Overall, I liked it but those two elements really messed it up. Sami/Lucas/Brady/Chloe/Kate really were the saving grace of the whole story. I'm looking forward to the aftermath of it. And what the hell was that song during the Jake/Gabi sex scene 😂😂

Yeah. It is his parents' legacy, so I don't see him giving up without a fight. He always said he's determined to make it to 60 years. I think he just needs to sometimes reject some of Ron's story projections, and probably get a new co-EP

And I've said this before, but I don't think the ratings drop can be blamed only on the decline in quality. Of course the Neilson ratings are going to be down when you create so many different ways for fans to watch at their own convenience. And the fact that NBC keeps putting out there how well Days does on the app, I think proves that

That's a good thing. I'd much rather watch a soap, even a lousy one, than a talk show. I'm sure he misses all those kind comments you've made about him on here.

I'm so happy to hear this! I know we're always talking about how messy it gets sometimes, but I'm glad it's still going to go on. Days was my first soap, and I've always wanted it to also be my last.

You're right. It is a testament to BD and his acting. Back in the day, I hated Lucas lol I thought he was the meanest little bastard I ever saw. But overtime, he really grew as a character and pretty much transitioned into the good man that he is today. And I do think that's all due to BD's acting. He's one of my favorite characters now.

I think Danny went to public school too. He just hung out a lot with Ted and Laken at Lyman Prep. Jade was able to go to Lyman Prep though, but that was only because her mother worked in the cafeteria.

Agreed. They could stretch some stuff out for a little more, especially the Xander/Chanel marriage. I feel like the way that they rushed into it, and to then have Chanel scam Paulina so quickly messed up her character a little. They could've spent a little more time building sympathy for her

So it's starting to look the Allie/Chanel kiss was all for nothing. Just like the Theo/Claire kiss that Charlie walked in on. And now the Xander/Chanel marriage appears to be ending too. If things are going to be rushed through so quickly, what exactly is the point for them? I think that's more that they had no idea what to do with Lucas, rather than Chloe or Adrienne

I actually liked that time period. They finally made Sami grow up for the most part. It was nice to see the character change and become full circle over time. As for Chloe/Lucas, I think they were paired because they were the only two unattached people at that time. Everybody was so invested in Sami/EJ and I'm sure they also really wanted to break Chloe out of that Brady/Philip loop. I never saw them as an endgame pairing though.

Agreed. They always did bring out the best in each other. Even in scenes when they weren't a couple, you could tell that there was a connection between both the characters and the actors.

Thanks I wouldn't mind a recast. Zoe gets annoying sometimes, but there's still a lot they can do with her character

Yeah, that was the place. I think after that was when the set disappeared And the interesting thing about it was that it never a reused set (like the way Ada's house became the Shea house). All those characters all were supposed to have lived at the same place, which I was think was supposed to be near the Cory estate

Making my way through the 1991 episodes and for the most part I'm really enjoying them. Can't stand Blake though. He's the new Mick Savage. Hopefully he'll be gone soon. I don't really understand the Taylor/Blake relationship either. Why exactly did this stunningly beautiful young woman marry this creepy old guy? 😂😂

I think Mac and Janice lived there too for a little while. And so did Cass, I think, once Cecile owned it.
