  1. Definately Falcon Crest ^2. Plus there's "Our Kind of People" on Fox which has similar themes but with haircare instead if wine.
  2. How many times can the character of Monica go through this? Was thinking something similar to this. You'd never know today how much Monica resented Alan's "bastard". BTW this is the best Monica has looked in years. And the mod to history about Scott Baldwin looking after Jason, hard to believe that Scott has tried to put him in jaii over the years!
  3. They should just say Jason had to leave town like he did in the early 2000s due to a threat on his life or on a mission. It feels repetitive to have him presumed dead, especially since Sonny and Drew were "resurrected". I have my reservations about the show eating trio but it felt good to have Jason back on GH these past few years. Hopefully he can return in the future when vaccine mandates are perhaps lifted.
  4. 😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑 At least take something from the 2020 Pandemic classics.
  5. In rewatching some late March early April 1998 episodes from the vault, I think Neil/Dru and Malcolm/Olivia were mismatched. Neil was being really unfair about Drucilla taking a six week modeling gig. Similarly when they first got together he was pressing her to only focus on ballet, because some people only have one true talent in life. Given how square Neil could be, I think he'd have better fit with Olivia, and Malcolm would have meshed better with Dru. I really like this era of Dru. She'd grown out from wild girl from the streets early days, but wasn't as campy as her post 2002 return.
  6. I questioned why they would bring Britt back on an already bloated show, but her chemistry with Jason surprised me. This especially after how lifeless his pairing with Sam became. I'm not againt a Jason/Carly hookup (or at least a friends with benefits arrangement like Michael & Phyliss used to have on Y& R) but the execution was poor. The Carly that Jason had the most sexual chemistry with was Sarah Brown. IMO of all the women he's been associated with, Carly #1 and Brenda were the best chemistry wise.
  7. Not sure if this is posted on here ready put some one just put Tricia raping Victor up again on YouTube. It feels strange seeing Victor in a vulnerable position like this, especially at the hands of a woman. RIP Jerry Douglas who should have never been killer off. I get a kick out of how aggressive he was with Jill during the original divorce storyline. He was really terrible at picking wives: Dina, Jill, Gloria. Jessica was probably his best choice.
  8. Definitely Christine on Y&R, especially because Paul never really raised any of his own children.
  9. As I understand it (correct me of I'm wrong) GH let Greg Vaugn go so JJ could return? As much as I enjoyed the entirety Lucky and Liz from the late 90s, in JJ's second run the writers trashed the charachter and the couple to me. Moreover, JJ only stayed on for two years. I'm surprised Y&R never brought back Olivia, Mary Jo, or Keemo. Since GH is making more of an effort to add black charachters to the canvas I'm surprised Keesha isn't being brought back. At least they connected Trina to Taggert, I thought she was going to be rated to the Wards or Claudia from the 80s.
  10. Currently: 1 GH C good: it has the most action, gives the most effort of all the soaps on the air; bad: has a bloated cast , stupid sci-fi elements to storylines, confusing retcons, great sets but cheap production value 2 DAYS (I barely watch) C- poor production value 3 B&B D+ poor writing, overly fast paced plots, repetitive dialouge 4 Y&R F BORING, lifeless, uneventful, stale
  11. GH Steve Burton- he had chemistry with Sarah Brown's Carly, Sam, Robin, Brenda, Britt, Elizabeth, Karen, Keesha, etc... Imagine of they brought back Keesha as a potential interest for Jason. Y&R Don Diamont- Brad had chemistry with Drucilla, Nikki, Olivia, Ashley (Brenda Epperson), Jill, Sharon, and most of all Lauren. I'm surprised they never tried to pair him with either Phyliss or Christine.
  12. Facts. Jill & Phillip were basically the show's landmark storyline that fueled years of conflict, so I'm not surprised she lasted as long as she did.
  13. Writers in general I should say seem to have given up on the both of them. In 2010/11 I was seeing a bit of Mac on screen but since Frank I've barely seen him. Felicia on the other hand, yes, has been seen more often under this regime of writers.
  14. GH: Ana Devane - I'm surprised that since her 2012 return she hasn't been back backburnered like some of her other counterparts such as Bobby, Scott, Robert, and Mac. Speaking of Mac seems like they just stopped writing for him and Felicia once Frank took over.
  15. Lol at Scott slipping Cam the condom. It would be awkward to have my "step grandfather" in my business like that, but it's cool that their that cool. I wonder if Joss will be as receptive to Cam trying to sleep with her, as she was pushing Oscar to get busy. If she hesitates this might be the fuel to turn him towards Esme.
  16. That makes sense @j swift With Gene Francis supposed to return soon, it has me wondering why there constantly seems to be issues with her staying around long term. Laura's the most iconic female charachter in GH history but always appears to be in an on and off capacity. I understand in the 80s, 90s, and 2002 there was some behind the scenes drama that lead to her various departures. I would think the show leadership would try to do better by the charachter and actress that helped put them on the map.
  17. As much as I don't like Peter that much either, without him a decent bit of characters would have no story right now, lol. We keep getting these yearly supervillains involved in some sort of umbrella plot. Victor Cassedine a few years ago, Shiloh, Cyrus, now Peter.
  18. Y&R: Tracey Bregman's pregnancy in 1991 gave us the Lauren/Sheila baby switch, one of the greatest plots of all time. It went on the after nearly 15 years of story material.
  19. She used to help eat the show when she was attached to Sonny/Carly/Jason, now she's sort of on the back burner w/o Jason.
  20. GH: Britt- Im surprised that's she's still around after nearly 10 years minus a few stints. Jax-When I realized Jax was on the show from about the 90s straight till 2010/11 I was surprised. I thought he at least left and came back a couple times, because I had no idea what he was doing in that period between Brenda leaving him and him getting with Carly. Y&R: Amelia Heinle as Victoria-I know this is about characters and not actors but I'm baffled she's gone 16 years as a dry lifeless version of Victoria. She'd be better as her own charachter not sassy girl Heather Tom played.
  21. I did sense some sort of teen pregnancy plot coming. If it were Esme though that would be too reminiscent of Nelle. Maybe they could age Jake since he's supposed to be older than Josslyn.
  22. Thinking about it, how is Jason this tactical super soldier when pre accident he was a goody two shoes med student? So greatful for the 60s and 70s GH episodes! Is anyone else having trouble playing the 1971 episode on archive.org?
