  1. Wiley on modern GH has alot of poorly written story revolving around him.
  2. Stephanie Foreester my favorite! This is a hard one, Monica Quartermaine perhaps?
  3. What are sone of your select charachter's greatest scenes: Kim ATWT, Bob & Susan's affair (1990) https://youtu.be/8f29FfY-RlI B&B Stephanie after catching Brooke & Deacon (2002): Sonny GH (2010) Exposing Claudia for killing Michael:
  4. did taggert ever press spencer like this?? Sonny's charachter has hit a new low. His unwavering defence of Nina borders on brainwashed. It makes no sense.
  5. Nina must have that 🔥📦 to have such a vice grip on Sonny (pun intended). GH actors always seem to be away during critical scenes. First Alexis now Michael.
  6. There are too many charachters with no purpose or story on the canvas‼️‼️‼️As some have said, I suppose they're going for Maryland era ATWT with a large community but it isn't working.
  7. Soaps have gotten so quick and cheap. When Sheila switched those kids back in 91, we saw her sneak the baby into the hospital, change their gowns, forge their hand tags, switch their footprints etc while the babies cried. All we got today was Li in little explaining how she faked Finn's death over his unconscious body.
  8. ‼️‼️‼️💯 Ahh, good to see Sonny and Dante chatting it up in the ABC parking lot.
  9. Poorly written. What does killing Finn and then bringing him back accomplish for the show's plot in the long run, other than Sheila escaping a murder charge?
  10. Someone mentioned in another thread that that they're surprised Jax lasted so long and I'm inclined to agree. I had little clue what he was involved in between Brenda's "death" and his involvement with Carly. The only things I could recall were the Courtney and Sam storylines. Do you all think that "the teenagers" ate latter day OLTL.
  11. I take it that Sheila's crossover put B&B on the map. What particularly in 1984 boosted Y&R? I believe their was a writer change and storyline direction change around that point? The Brooks and Fosters were mostly written out by then in favor of the Newmans and Abbotts.
  12. although B&B is complete crap they at least try to give you something to watch unlike Y&R. It's good to see Sheila stirring up trouble agin no matter how poorly written the Finn story was. Hopefully her antics cross over to Y&R.
  13. At what point did each soap become popular in what was then a saturated field. Obvious: GH in 1978/79 after Monty toook the reigns. ATWT: was popular in the 60s and 70s and had a mid 80s resurgence under Marland. When for example did DAYS or OLTL or AMC become popular.
  14. Yes I do. From the moment this was trailed it seemed like a gonner.
  15. dont know if this was posted already but here is a playlist of clips from SOAPnet's GH 50th anniversary marathon. Its the closest subsitute I could find for every actual full episode that aired.
  16. Not surprised, this show was not great unfortunatey.
  17. DAYS looks atrocious. GH has nice sets but the lighting is awful.
  18. Someone online wrote that one of the sets from either Loving or The City became the set for the forst few seasons of The View. If true that living room set was layered and top tier!
  19. DAYS- John & Marlena 1991-1991. Years of solid story beginning with Marlena's return from the dead, OG Roman's return, the quadrangle between Roman/Marlena/John/Isabella and the eventual affair. The payoff being the creation of evil Sami. Several plots like Mason Blanche were contained within the story, and seeds for the posession were being planted by about late '94. A geat example of a story leading to another without hitting a dead end. Y&R- Marge Cotrooke 1.0 , 1989-90. In 1989 the audience was given so much detail. Marge was shown changing her hair style, having apendix surgery to mimic Kay's pain, Clint taping Kay & Rex in the bedroom to help Marge match Katherine's sexual demeanor, testing a forged signature at the bank while impersonating Katherine. Soaps wouldn't go this far into deatil with a silly doppleganger plot these days. Despite the possible arguement that the plot was silly and may have dragged too long, great attention to detail was made in the beginning.
  20. John McCook still has the confidence to go shirtless at 77. His counterpart Victor on Y&R stopped doing that a while ago lol. I cannot recall any soap charachter that was still fooling around with yonger women -- or anything sex related -- near age 80.
  21. Liam/Hope/Steffy B&B: the show has excessively pulled the couples apart and put them back together too many times for the audience (or at least myself) to care. The endless back and forth needs to stop. Moreover, Liam isn't in any way commanding as leading man to have two major female leads fight over him for a decade. Dallas, JR: could it be said that JR ate the show? I will say that I definitely Felt episodes were stronger when Bobby and Pam were the leads and JR was there a moral foil in the early years. I haven't seen much past Season 9 but apparently (correct me if I'm wrong) Hagman got producing credits, JR became more of the star, but he was also weaker as a charachter as he began to get beaten.
  22. Did Taylor attend the same Psychiatry school as Sharon on Y&R because...
  23. General Hospital and excessively saying "Shiloh" and "Wiley" every living second
