What would your major B&B twist be?
Rewrite of of my idea for Y&R in the "6 Monts to Live thread". Justin maintains control of Spencer -- with Ridge's support---and Dollar Bill is basically his b💲💲ch for a while Lauren returns with husband Michael to expand her dept. store or something. Michael resents giving up his DA job in Genoa City. Fenn who was in jail gets released, gets into alot of crap, messing up his parent's marriage. Lauren cheats with $Bill. Fen and other junkies rob the Forrester Mansion during which Eric sustains an undetected head injury. Sheila saves Eric and manipulates the brain injured senior into becoming his wife again. Lauren learns Sheila's been withholding Eric's medication and stealing some of his money, but is neutralized when Sheila uncoveres Fen was in the robbery. Bill gets Spencer back somehow then goes on a rampage and takes over Forrester. Lauren leaves him and allies with Sheila, Brooke & the Forresters, successfully regaining the company when a vengeful *late 90s era edge* Michael intervenes. Sheila ends up as CEO, as she's been stealing assets as well to gain majority shares. She uses Justin who has knowlge of business to help her. In the end Lauren somehow takes down Sheila. Sheila looses controlling interest but remains on the board to keep her around long term. Sheila exposes Fen who gets rehab and probation when he snitches on the person who planned the robbery and actually injured Eric. Eric gets proper treatment, returns to his right mind and gets an annulment. Lauren repairs her marriage, and so on...

General Hospital March 2022 Discussion Thread
It was satisfying to see Carly snatch Esme up. Shouldn't people be reluctant to mess with Sonny's kids/step kids? Then again it would severely limit plot if Sonny's loved ones didnt have antagonist conflicts because the agressor would be too scared to mess with Sonny's kids. ( ie. Keifer & Kristina, Michael & Nelle). Plus the show hasn't done a good job at making Sonny intimidating possibly to cement his ethical anti/hero crimminal image. Intimidating is moreso Manny Ruiz.

B&B March 2022 Discussion Thread
It's interesting seeing these two interact considering their history together. it brings me back to the scenes where Sheila cut hair off his head as a baby to threaten Stephanie over her kissing James. I hope we get some mention of that in the dialogue or even a flashback.

Euphoria (which I haven't watched) or Riverdale would make more sense as college shows based on the very adult scenarios the characters are in.

General Hospital March 2022 Discussion Thread
In their shoes I'd be mortified especially because the tape was secretly recorded w/o concent but... The fact that they're in college, not high school (and that they're a couple), softens the blow--no pun intended🥁 Especially in this age of onlyfans where college age kids are releasing their content purposefully, it seems like this would be less embarrassing (assuming everyone on campus doesn't know each other that well).

ABC vs CBS Daytime vs NBC Daytime
Even in the night time the competition was soely between CBS and ABC. CBS had Knots, Falcon Crest, and Dallas. ABC had Dynasty. What was NBC's answer to this? All I know of was Flamingo Road.

Y&R March 2022 Discussion Thread
we wait years for a mention of keemo to learn that he's dead. Y&r is limping with severe blood loss into it's 50th anniversary where quality is concerned.

Actors who could/should have played other characters on their show.
Brenda Epperson and Nina Arveson looked alot to me. I could see Nina as Ashley but Not Brenda as Cassaundra, Brenda was too nice.

Pluto TV Confirms Soaps Channel Will Contain More Than ‘The Young and the Restless’ and ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’
If we get this the content needs to be older than 2005 at least.

GH: Fan Fave Being Recast
GH drags it's feet when they have a good thing. While I respect that General doesn't slap couples together like the bold and the beautiful, they did the same thing with Jason and Britt. Took to long to pair them, interrupted the story with a poorly executed Carly marriage plot and then Burton got fired, so no Jason & Britt. We barely got any time with Spencer and Trina as a couple while Sydney was still in the role. I understand her wanting to go to college (I'm unsure of the major). But if it's not something like law or medicine that explicitly requires specific credentials, will college take her further than a role on a network television show, even if its a soap? Daytime can still be a good launching pad--ala Justin Heartley.

Bottom Preforming Soaps In Each Decade
Soaps have up and down periods in each decade but which soap(s) did you find to be consistently lackluster — be it acting, story, or production wise — in each decade. For me, 2000s: aside from Passions & Port Charles: Guiding Light

Soap Storylines/Moments You Would Have Written Differently
How would you tweak a particular storyline? For example, I'd rewrite the Ice Princess story to say Mikkos Cassesidne was Russian rather than Greek, and trying to secure a nuclear weapon to destroy Port Charles or something to make it more realistic and less cartoonish. It would fit into the ongoing cold war at the time.

Recasts You Think Could've Worked
Speaking of Phyliss and Morgan, I could definately see Sarah Buxton and Sandra Nelson in each others roles. Two femme fatale red heads. Sandra as Morgan on B&B or Sarah as Phyliss on Y&R, especially givien the Dr. Tim Reid connection.
