BTG: History, Behind the Scenes Articles & Photos
CBS is airing The Price Is Right reruns during the interim period after The Talk ends and Beyond the Gates returns. I can understand why, but it's kind of a bummer that we wouldn't get CBS' version of "A Daytime to Remember." https://deadline.com/2024/12/the-talk-replacement-the-price-is-right-beyond-the-gates-1236195490/

Oh, duh ... Wayne Northrop & Lynn Herring Roman Brady and Lisanne Gardner, DOOL (The scene where Roman's in drag, disguised as Marlena's maid, and spills a vaccum bag on Lisanne, forcing her to take her dress off.) Rex Stanton and Lucy Coe, PC (They married and he tried to kill her.)

One Life to Live Tribute Thread
Okay, well, I'm hoping that we're finally done with Max & Lee Ann, since she's got to be getting mighty close to conceiving Duke with Kevin. I also loved how Dorian's scenes were, "I should get laid." Then she has a fantasy (to "Enter Sandman"!) about Jason*, only to have cold water splashed on her privates when she realizes he's Wanda's nephew. *This appears to be where the photo of Dorian and Jason on a motorcycle comes from. Jason was all over the place in this episode, from the Banner loading dock, to Wanda's Place, to Carlo and Stephanie's. And without much time in between. Boo, OLTL! You're better than that.

GH: Classic Thread
"Oh, sweet cake, you're the only one who understands me." The riffs are great, but I'm actually genuinely compelled by Ken/Cynthia/Phil/Jessie. In particular, the moment where Jessie and Cynthia know all too well what's going to happen when Phil & Cynthia are alone. Cynthia tries to stop it from happening, while Jessie's resigned herself to the inevitable.

I'm a musicals fan, so I greatly enjoyed it, not to mention the moment in the 9/4/91 episode where Babs was dishing on the Tyne Daly production of Gypsy. And what a fine bit of kismet (sorry, couldn't resist), since the Audra McDonald production's in previews right now. Oh, definitely. It's been fun observing the transition. I've said it before, but I have a wishlist of late 1991 things I'm curious to see: Andrew and Blair's arrivals, the domestic violence storyline, JDP's return as Max, and the start of Dorian & Jason.

Illustrated Soap Ads - the good, the bad, and the oddities
As the story goes, Cyndi Lauper came up with the title "Time After Time" while scrolling through TV Guide (the movie was making its network premiere). Could Glenn Frey* have had a similar experience with "The Heat Is On"? I'm certain the Dynasty ad dates from late 1983-early 1984. *Or rather, the song's actual writers, Harold Faltermeyer & Keith Forsey.

These ones have been on YouTube for a long time, so it should be okay to share them. Credits start at 10:00. They could also be from the Wednesday, Sept. 4 episode, it's just that the GH summaries make it sound like the Sept. 5 episode was being teased. This one I'm absolutely certain is from Friday, Sept. 13, followed by Monday, Sept. 16. Credits start at 2:00.

We have one of the last pieces of the great 1991 end credits puzzle. The credits from what appears to be the Thursday, Sept. 5 episode are on YouTube. I'm going off the teasers for that day's GH and the next day's Good Morning America. Craig Carlson is still credited as headwriter, and Linda Gottlieb isn't credited yet. Luna's first scene is also on YouTube, and thanks to the Life Goes On teaser, we can place the OLTL episode as airing on Friday, Sept. 13. Linda Gottlieb now has a credit, and so does Michael Malone.

Speaking of Mary Stuart, I think it's time we listen to her '73 album. She remained a beautiful woman for decades afterwards, but those poses are just too funny.

Google tells me it was a two-week stand in April 1988. I wonder if the writer's strike threw things off, that Mary's appearance was intended for May, a sweeps month.
