  1. The real tragedy about Dave Chappelle is when he tries, he can still be very funny and very insightful, including about political issues (policing, etc). I saw some of his monologue and a fair amount made me laugh. The problem is that like many top comics before him, he's gotten so caught up in lashing out at the changing times and being a contrarian that he lost sight of his own place in the larger matrix. The contrarian pushback too many comics fall into has become his major identity. I don't believe the Dave of 20 years ago would be cheering becoming a (somewhat volatile) hero to the alt right or bigots. That's my only commentary on tonight!
  2. Warnock's going to take it. But yes, we need to stay juiced.
  3. Like I said on the last page, she is the only one skilled enough to work these margins with or without the House and still pass legislation, and I absolutely think she can pass legislation in either scenario. I am all for new blood when it is ready and when the numbers are less razor-thin, which is not this cycle.
  4. And we're thrilled at having at least a 20-40% chance of keeping the House! Even if we don't though, with these slim numbers the GOP is not going to be able to function in a majority. They will be infighting til 2024.

  6. This shít is so stupid. I'm truly glad if they get a pick-up because streaming is what future the genre may have, but they have got to update this dusty show and overhaul it in an unprecedented way if they want real longevity in the new age IMO. You have building blocks of new characters or families or longtime faves that can work (the LGBT contingent, more Black characters, Jackee, celebs like Lisa and Eileen) but so much is held back by this crap. Ron will never quit Twitter.
  7. So stupid. It reminds me of when I realized Ron had done the "Victor Jr./Todd II gets beaten to within an inch of his life/ends up in a coma with all his enablers weeping and praying over him" story twice in under a year near the end of OLTL.
  8. Agreed. But good luck with the passive aggressive callout posts you'll be getting in obscure corners of the board no one uses, Jane.
  9. Most likely, but it's the best thing for the show on a new platform. Wait a minute, didn't these ladies just get poisoned and almost die a couple months ago??
  10. Not a surprise, but always welcome. If they already got a pick-up as rumored that's good for the show. Peter looks amazing.
  11. I don't want to hear how Pelosi should retire immediately when we either have these margins in the House or, miracle of miracles, potentially keep the House. I am all for a retirement plan soon, but no one is operating at her level atm and with her skill she will be able to peel off a couple red votes and pass legislation at these numbers. It's already pretty miraculous.
  12. Laxalt preps his people for defeat:
