HOW TO SURVIVE A MARRIAGE
I wonder if any episodes still exist anywhere. Barely any of it is even on YouTube. From what I've heard and read about the first few months of HTSAM, it seems like they were preaching rather than crafting likeable characters and engrossing stories.

I haven't heard anything, but they need to both digitize and close-caption the episodes first. Hopefully, they will start airing 1980 in the not-too-distant future.

I thought she originally auditioned for Laken, but I could be wrong.

It also helped enormously that JAN was practically a clone of Nic Coster. Even their voices sounded identical.

Why don't they give him a key to the city while they're at it???? 😡😡😡😡😡

Thanks for sharing that. Again, such a shame that Sunny and Hogan didn't end up together for good - and a mistake.

It's interesting that SB only did teen stories in its first and last years on the air. It's also interesting that 18-year-old Robin Wright was in "adult" stories while 20-year-old Todd McKee was stuck in classroom scenes. I don't know the ages of Julie Ronnie and Rupert Ravens, but it seems that of the four only 17-year-old Melissa Brennan was the "right" age for these stories.

I'm glad to hear you are OK and are continuing to take precautions, but feel awful that you have to go through this because of the selfishness of others. When did we as a society so completely lose compassion? 😢

It infuriates me further that the former guy, who never met a photo op he didn't like, got vaccinated in private. To me, that says it all.

I loved how Rena Sofer made that brief reappearance in the fall of 1997, when Lois came back to comfort Brenda after Sonny had stood her up.

I think so. RTPP aired its finale on Friday, January 4, 1974, and HTSAM premiered three days later on Monday, January 7.

It's really hard to tell if Julie Ronnie was or at least could have been any good, because Laken was pretty much a non-entity from Day One.

It's been awhile since Chris Marcantel put together a virtual reunion. Has he done any of them in 2021?

Coronavirus/Covid-19 Discussion Thread
Exactly right. Being in the health care field, I jumped at the chance to get vaccinated. I had my first Pfizer dose on 1/23 and the second on 2/13. This was before incentives were offered, but I wouldn't have needed an incentive. To me, the vaccine was its own reward. The people who have chosen not to get vaccinated at this point won't be moved. So you have to shun them from events and such that vaccinated people have access to. I really resent the fact that a public health crisis, of all things, was politicized. I still carry a lot of anger towards certain people in the last administration and certain people who are still in Congress. They will always have blood on their hands.
