  1. Dee and Annie's sisterly relationship reminds me a bit of Eden and Kelly Capwell's (Marcy Walker and Robin Wright) on SB.
  2. Speaking of Pamela Bellwood, what did you all think of the Claudia character? She was kept while her husband and daughter were dropped (though Bo Hopkins did return briefly, years later), and stayed for a good chunk of the show's run. Was she generally liked by the fans, or did she just take up space?
  3. I agree with you guys about Rita Walter. I said pretty much the same thing about Kristen Vigard over on the GL board.
  4. Thanks! I didn't know Nancy played Tara more than once. Didn't Mary Lynn Blanks also play the role at some point?
  5. Thanks. Whenever Tara came back after that, it was always the original actress (Karen Gorney) who played her, right?
  6. Thank you, I look forward to reading them!!!
  7. Thanks!! She was one of the many Tara Martins on AMC as well - was she before or after the pre-AW Nancy Frangione?
  8. Carl, do you have any articles/interviews of Rita Walter? She's the only soap actress that I can think of who married a minister while still on her soap (Pamela Shoop of Return to Peyton Place would wed a man who left the priesthood to marry her in the late 80s). I like that she wasn't afraid to be vocal about her faith. Do you know why she eventually left ATWT?
  9. Thanks - I do know that the priest was played by the same actor who played the hammy Rusty Sentell on SFT, and his brother was played by Gary Sandy, later of WKRP. I would like to see clips of that love story, because it brought a lot of controversy for its day. It pre-dated The Thorn Birds. Did Stephanie Braxton have any other soap writing experience other than her brief co-headwriter status at SFT in the mid-80s?
  10. I think Agnes Nixon was exclusively writing AW when Vicky Wyndham was on GL, but I could be wrong.
  11. It's still one of the biggest crimes in TV history that not only didn't Beverlee McKinsey ever win an Emmy, she was never even NOMINATED for her work on GL. Just one more reason why the Emmys have turned into a complete joke over the years.
  12. On The Secret Storm, wasn't Stephanie Braxton's character the woman who later married a priest?
  13. Last I heard, Rita McLaughlin Walter was an assistant to an eye doctor in New Jersey.
  14. That's what I thought - thanks.
  15. I know - those articles from the 70s are a riot. From the clothes to the adjectives...too funny.
  16. Thank you - I knew that name was familiar.
  17. Does anyone know whatever became of Bennye Gatteys? Was DAYS her only soap gig?
  18. Erin looks fine. She has some meat on her bones and isn't pumped full of Botox/collagen. She looks very natural.
  19. I agree that it would have been hard to keep Morgan interesting even if KV had stayed on. After all, she saw the character through the ups and downs to the glorious wedding. It would be hard to keep up the momentum no matter who was in the role. I think the same thing would have happened to Laura had Genie Francis never left GH. At least both ingénues left while the going was still good.
  20. Wasn't Paul Tully (Tulley?) the first Dr. Wolek on OLTL?
  21. Now I'm going to be looking out for lipstick on the teeth in all future Unsung episodes. Next up is Peaches & Herb. Poor Peaches!!
  22. Yet another missed opportunity.
  23. Hey, bring it on! It's a better idea than anything they've done in the past few years!!
  24. Thank you both. It's always a pleasure to see Ann Williams. Liz Welch, one of Ann's daughters, has named Margo as her personal favorite of her mom's many roles.
