  1. I was also impressed with how well the fight scenes between he and Robin Wright were choreographed, and her escape and blowing up the car were extremely well-done. Kudos to all involved with those scenes.
  2. Who did the music for the show post-Robert Cobert? I can't find any information about that.
  3. Stephen Meadows made Peter Flint into one of the sickest, most twisted villains in SB's run (and there were quite a few!) - but despite all the horrible things he did, he still had a shred of humanity in him to the end. He really did love Kelly. Losing her literally made him lose his mind. I think Mr. Meadows did an excellent job making that come through to the audience.
  4. Thank you, John. Loved the Rose Alaio interview, safe - she looks wonderful!!
  5. True story - years ago I bought Gary Morris' Greatest Hits II CD just for the full-length version of the AW theme. Thankfully, after listening to the other nine songs on the CD, I ended up liking most of them, too. I never did care for that last opening sequence - especially after people had left and the edits were so awkward.
  6. Ahhh, Kristen, Susan and the multitude of other Eileen Davidson characters that would show up. LOL Something my sister and I found very amusing was that after Marlena escaped that panic room built in the wine cellar of the DiMera mansion, it was still used for other purposes. I forget exactly what, but it had something to do with Dr. Rolf trying to find a cure for Peter's "jungle madness". It was so ludicrous!!! LOL
  7. Did this show have one of the best theme songs ever, or what? That saxophone over that moody, slightly creepy music? Perfect!!
  8. I think he could do a LOT better than Carisi, but that's just my opinion. LOL
  9. Thank you, SBNBC!!!
  10. I'm sort of dreading what the show will be like post-Lakin/Edelstein. What we've seen so far seems to be an anti-soap, and for the most part free of melodrama and clichés. I'm afraid that will all change.
  11. You're welcome, Susan! Here's another interesting interview I read, this one from 1973 and profiling David O'Brien. Here's something I'll bet you all didn't know - I sure didn't - that NBC reported at one point that he was getting more fan mail than the face of the network himself - Johnny Carson!!!! http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=1955&dat=19731102&id=t40hAAAAIBAJ&sjid=pJkFAAAAIBAJ&pg=3371,976762
  12. EON always seemed to have a fairly small cast, even for a half-hour show. Of course, with the murder element in there, a lot of people were going to be filtered in and out. How many core characters were there by the ABC era? 10-15?
  13. Do any of you think Chris Meloni would ever come back in a guest capacity at this point (probably too late to do it this season), or has that ship already sailed?
  14. I found this funny blurb in a 1974 article. In it, a model (and later writer) named Nancy McCormick relates the first time her family "met" her future husband, Gerald Gordon, by having them sit and watch an episode of TD. http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=950&dat=19740615&id=68JaAAAAIBAJ&sjid=LVgDAAAAIBAJ&pg=6958,4595001 By the way, the two were together until Mr. Gordon's passing in 2001.
  15. No matter what, I don't think the show could survive without Hargitay/Benson. For better or worse, she IS SVU.
  16. Penny was ahead of her time! She would have fit right in on those Bridezilla shows. LOL
  17. Are real-life sergeants COs? I thought one had to be a lieutenant or captain to be a CO (as has been seen here and the mothership with Cragen, the mothership with Van Buren, CI with Deakins/Ross, etc.). I wouldn't really want to see Olivia leave, as her friendship/chemistry with Barba is one of my favorite parts of the show. However, it does seem that Benson's collective heart really isn't in it anymore now that she has Noah - and I have a feeling that this season finale will have something to do with him and the adoption. Also, I really wish they would show Munch in his capacity as investigator for the DA's office. I'd love to see him assist Barba in a few cases. Bring back the Munchkin!!
  18. Kathleen Murray can be seen in a couple of March 1968 episodes of The Doctors, as she filled in as Maggie for Bethel Leslie, who was ill with the measles.
  19. The wedding episodes should be airing in less than two weeks now - and will air over two days. I'm really looking forward to seeing it!
  20. Is anyone else surprised that SVU has been renewed for next season? So far, this season has been a mess. As much as I love her, MH has to share some of the blame because she's part of the crew now as a producer and occasionally a director. Olivia just isn't believable as the head of the squad - they should have gotten a new CO. Of course, I still miss Munch, Cragen and Huang. But as long as Barba is still around (who has given the prosecution part of the show a huge boost since the revolving doors of ADAs a few years back), I'll keep watching. Also, no matter how much of an annoyance Carisi often is - he still isn't the worst cop SVU ever had. That distinction still belongs to Chester Lake!!!
  21. I never knew Rosemary Prinz was married to Michael Thoma, who I remember from the EIE reruns as Dr. Maxwell. Great article, thanks for sharing it.
  22. If things between Steve and Karen are this bad now, I wonder what things will be like when the baby comes.
  23. Toni Kalem in that picture looks more like Anna Stuart than Maeve Kincaid, but I digress. A Martinez (Cruz Castillo on SB) said in an interview on Brandon's Buzz some months back that he and Ms. Kalem dated for awhile back in the 70s, after she had left AW and the East Coast.
  24. I don't know why it's not showing up, but I can ask. Hold on and I'll see what he can do.
  25. khan, the Charlie's Angels Casebook gave that episode a write-up with the sentence, "Nicolas Coster, usually up to no good in daytime as well, plays the guilty Professor Croyton". I just got a kick out of that.
