  1. Linda has also proven to be just as ageless as Stephen. It seems like just yesterday that they were playing Felicia and Cass, not 16 (!!) years ago.
  2. Until I read your post, safe, I didn't know that Kate Mulgrew had written a memoir. Right after reading your post, I went to my library's website and placed a hold on it. So thanks for alerting me. In 2000, she came close to being first lady of my state of Ohio. Her husband ran for governor of Ohio that year but lost to incumbent Bob Taft.
  3. Totally agree about Felicia and Cass - proof that a man and woman can be just friends, and the best of friends at that (though the characters did start out as lovers). It's also great that LD and SS have still remained good friends after all these years.
  4. Thanks, Carl.
  5. Ava Lazar was fired (she confirmed that in an interview on the French/English SB site run by fan Nicolas). Along with getting rid of Dane Witherspoon, that was the other stupid casting move the Dobsons made in 1984.
  6. It seems that Sally brought a lot of herself into Martha - especially with her love of plants (hence all the geraniums in the lab). Sadly, she and Gerald Gordon passed away the same week - she on August 13, 2001 and he went four days later on the 17th.
  7. Pilar wasn't still on FC when it ended, was she?
  8. GR would have been an inspired casting choice. I also agree about Stephen Schnetzer's agelessness. He has to hold the record for the AW actor with the most L&O (any L&O show) appearances. It seems he is in every other L&O, SVU or CI rerun I see!!
  9. I couldn't agree more!!!
  10. Conrad Roberts has just been heartbreaking as Ed the past few episodes, as have his screen partners. This is truly the type of story and acting that soaps are supposed to be made of!!
  11. I'll join you, vetsoapfan!!!
  12. I like your analysis of how Alice's character was in part shaped by watching her older sister's horrific experiences with men. That makes perfect sense.
  13. If the show was already going downhill, why fire your most popular vixen? That's like cutting off your nose to spite your face.
  14. I see. Why did Ana Alicia leave FC? Was it her choice or was she let go?
  15. That was great - thanks!!
  16. That sounds right - thanks for confirming.
  17. Yeah, the chemistry was there right from the start. I wonder how different things would have been had SB kept Dane Witherspoon.
  18. Thanks for sharing the clips from 1981, vetsoapfan!
  19. Kristian Alfonso's Pilar seems to be universally reviled. Was it just because the character ate up so much screen time, or was she just poorly written?
  20. I believe JVA was only on for a short time - 1969-70, if I'm not mistaken.
  21. Here's a question for all of you - what do you think were the best and worst storylines FC ever had?
  22. With the exceptions of Jacquie Courtney and Susan Harney, I have never seen any of the other Alices in the few YT clips available - so I will take your word for it.
  23. I don't have the exact airdates, but Conrad Roberts made his debut as Ed towards the end of March 1968. Zaida Coles as Anna began sometime in June 1968, I believe.
  24. I wonder if he would have had any chemistry with the actress playing Alice then, as Jacquie was still on OLTL.
  25. I just hope this Liz/Townsend story ends soon - compared to the Ed/Anna drama, it doesn't even come close to being riveting.
