  1. That was Geoffrey Pierson's Frank, right? Wasn't Maggie Shelby after him at the same time?
  2. This makes me so mad I could scream. Seriously, I'm seeing red right now. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Geraldo has a few skeletons in his closet. 😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠
  3. Matt Lauer, especially in light of the Ann Curry situation, just comes across as a man who hates women. He uses them to suit his own purposes and then turns on them when he perceives something they do is "wrong". He has three kids who are old enough to understand what is going on. What kind of example is he to them? 😠
  4. I was just really creeped out when they paired her with Seneca. The old man and a baby having his baby. 😨
  5. Remember the week of the Boston Marathon bombing in April 2013? There was a massive explosion at a fertilizer plant in Texas a couple of days after the tragic events at the Boston Marathon. Thinking that the perpetrators wouldn't be found so quickly, Lauer thought the bigger immediate story was in Texas and flew there to cover it. https://www.thedailybeast.com/photos-of-the-texas-blast Meanwhile, the country at large woke up the next day to hear that the city and suburbs of Boston were basically under lockdown. Savannah Guthrie was left to cover the unfolding story for hours on end, and it is still probably the crowning moment in her journalistic career: https://www.thedailybeast.com/nbc-today-show-get-boston-marathon-bombing-coverage-right I remember thinking even then how chapped Lauer had to be that it was his female co-anchor who got to cover this huge event and got praise from so many. As well she should have...I still think she did a great job that day.
  6. I hope they bring back the opening sequence of everyone at the kitchen table. I'd also like to see an appearance by Bonnie Bramlett, as well as the others already mentioned.
  7. UGGGGH, so glad I didn't hear Kathie Lee. I'm cringing right now! 😂😂😂😂😂
  8. Here's an article about Matt Lauer's less-than-stellar reputation with female colleagues: http://time.com/5040649/matt-lauer-ann-curry-past/ Yes. He co-anchors Morning Joe on MSNBC and anchors WEEKEND TODAY on Sundays.
  9. Oh yes, I remember him and those allegations. As that was from the pre-social media era, I'm not surprised that many people have forgotten about it or never heard of it.
  10. Exactly. Of course, he had to weigh in on Matt Lauer's firing this morning. As my mother always says, "pot, meet kettle"!!!
  11. Here's some interesting food for thought...an article slamming Lauer from April 2013: http://nymag.com/news/features/today-show-hosts-2013-4/
  12. How do you really feel, Carl? 😉😂 Seriously, I agree with all of your observations. I've always found him smug, arrogant and egotistical...never more so than during the Ann Curry debacle. I bet she's shedding no tears right now.
  13. I love Kelli Maroney personally, but Kimberly was a character you could just love hating. 😉😊
  14. Does this count as political news? https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcnews.com/storyline/harvey-weinstein-scandal/amp/nbc-news-fires-today-anchor-matt-lauer-after-sexual-misconduct-n824831
  15. I didn't see this coming, but I'm not surprised. 😠😠😠😠😠
  16. It looks like something out of The Shining. 😨😂
  17. Not to veer off the subject too much, but she was only 59 when she started on MSW. She always seemed way older than that. 😨
  18. Well, I meant toddlers while they are having tantrums. Trust me, I am aunt to three terrific kids ranging in age from two to eleven...and they all have infinitely more maturity than the POTUS.
  19. AMEN!! He's also a temper tantrum prone toddler stuck in a 71-year-old body. Has he gone one day without calling people names? He's a bully, plain and simple. 😠😠😠😠😠
  20. Gerald Gordon left TD at the very end of 1974, so his final scenes will be airing this week on Retro. GG made a short-term return to TD in 1976 and was on for about four months before leaving the show for good.
  21. Agreed. That's the same way I felt when Tippi Hedren spoke out a few weeks ago.
  22. I would have loved to see Reunion, the proposed Antebellum era soap pitched to NBC by Joyce and John Corrington. Instead, they were told to create a daytime soap comparable to what was then the most popular program on the air - Dallas. So, their idea set in the 1850s South became the modern day Texas.
  23. Here's an article about Donna Mills in a stage version of Driving Miss Daisy: https://myburbank.com/11/news/donna-mills-opens-driving-miss-daisy-at-the-colony/
