  1. Even these statements/"apologies" all sound the same. Are any of them genuinely sorry for the lives they've destroyed or just because they got caught and their careers are over?
  2. You're welcome! I wonder if Liz Hubbard is aware of the connection between her TD daughter and ATWT brother-in-law.
  3. Ask and you shall receive...from 1975 on: http://classicsodatwt.tumblr.com/
  4. I've always loved Rose Marie. It was interesting to read that article. Good for her for not only standing up to that creep, but for calling him out in front of the whole cast and crew!! 👏👏👏👏👏
  5. According to the book, Rita noticed that her appearances on the show during her first stint were growing fewer and farther between. Apparently, the writers at the time didn't know what to do with Carol. She stopped watching the show after being let go, because it was too painful. However, Rita's mom continued to watch and noticed that Carol's name was being mentioned a lot. This was after Irna Phillips had returned to ATWT. Rita then got a call from the show, stating that they were indeed bringing Carol back and wanted her to reprise the role. She did and stayed for nearly a decade. Then she retired from show biz to raise a family and help her minister husband in his church work. Today, Rita and Norm are still married after over 40 years, have three grown kids and several grandchildren. They live in New Jersey, where Norm is the senior pastor of a Baptist Church.
  6. That's great news!! Is this Erika's first screen role since the end of OLTL?
  7. Also, I wonder if Carl would have been redeemed. Rachel would have obviously stayed with Mac. I wonder if he would have been the go-to villain for the remainder of the show's run or if he would have been redeemed through other means.
  8. Yes, and what's the real fall-out for Matt Lauer? He's rich enough to never have to work again, and has all the time in the world to play golf in the Hamptons? What about the women he abused? They are scarred and will carry those scars one way or the other for the rest of their lives. It's so not fair.
  9. You got the key word right there. MOST women.
  10. Yes, and it's also fun to see Whitney Blake...who looks exactly like her daughter, Meredith Baxter.
  11. No woman would give him the time of day if he wasn't a wealthy Oscar-winner. He's short, not exactly handsome, and a narcissistic, misogynistic creep. Speaking of narcissistic, misogynistic creeps, check this out: https://www.google.com/amp/people.com/tv/katie-couric-breaks-silence-on-matt-lauer-sexual-misconduct-allegations/amp/
  12. Thank you. I never knew he was on that show. Tom Wiggin and Jami Fields were both in a Columbia University drama production of A Midsummer Night's Dream around 1975. I'lI see if I can find the photo. Here is the story and photo from the Columbia University student newspaper, The Spectator: http://spectatorarchive.library.columbia.edu/cgi-bin/columbia?a=d&d=cs19751030-01.2.17&e=-------en-20--1--txt-txIN------ http://spectatorarchive.library.columbia.edu/cgi-bin/columbia?a=d&d=cs19751030-01.1.6&e=-------en-20--1--txt-txIN------
  13. I cried reading that. That guy is just pure slime.
  14. Ironically, Rita and Charles might have been onscreen siblings. In the book Rita co-wrote with her husband, Rev. Norman Walter (No Shadow of Turning, published in the late 1970s), she was considered for the role of Tara Martin when AMC was first being cast.
  15. Randall looks and sounds terrific. Thanks so much for sharing the pic and video.
  16. I wonder just how much of 1989 had to be rewritten due to the passing of Doug Watson. Had he lived and been healthy enough to continue as Mac, who knows how much would have been different?
  17. ...and the plot sickens. No way is he getting my vote. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.clevescene.com/scene-and-heard/archives/2017/12/08/ohio-supreme-court-justice-bill-oneill-will-step-down-in-january-to-run-for-governor%3fmedia=AMP+HTML Like father, like son. 😠😠😠😠😠
  18. That’s what the afternoon drive radio show here in Cleveland played under Savannah Guthrie announcing Matt Lauer's outster. I'm sure we'll still be hearing it in that context for some time to come.
  19. Patrick Horgan (Dr. John Morrison, 1970-74) in 1987 commercials for a company called Good Sense:
  20. Agreed, and I think Corey Feldman should have made the cover as well. The #MeToo movement isn't gender specific.
  21. Reading between the lines, I think she's got one foot out the door: http://people.com/tv/matt-lauer-wife-annette-roque-not-wearing-wedding-rings/
  22. According to a People article published today, Matt Lauer is "weak and broken and ashamed" since his firing. Boo freaking hoo, Mr. Pervert! Check out this article from 2008 about the now-infamous Matt Lauer Roast. So much for the NBC folks not knowing about his, ahem, quirks. https://www.villagevoice.com/2008/10/24/matt-lauers-roast-tom-cruise-katie-couric-and-3-hours-of-dick-jokes/
  23. I have no idea. I never saw that name in the credits. Maybe he was someone at Colgate-Palmolive (who owned the show then)?
