  1. Calhoun was the one who suggested Marland for ATWT, and the one who saw something impressive in Nancy Curlee and Stephen Demorest's work to promote them to HW's at GL. He was an EP that understood that there was no show without functional and thoughtful stories.
  2. Well, the important thing is that she seems busy with non-acting interests. That should hopefully give Mark Teschner ample time to find a charismatic actress than can act - as opposed to looking for random blonde actresses who last acted in daytime close to 15 years ago.
  3. Especially since she hasn't acted in what, over a decade at this point? And, let's be honest, girl was never that special.
  4. Most of the prestige dramas that have been successful in recent years have had some sort of serialized structure; audiences are open to that, but on a limited episode format it seems.
  5. Would we envision it as a streaming show with a limited seasonal episode order, or a broadcast network show where the state of hour-long dramas is quite bizarre right now? That said, I do think this is quite a WISHFUL exercise, lol. Warner Brothers Discovery is notoriously cheap, and would probably never greenlight a revisitation of this materiel. We're lucky we're getting what we're getting right now quite frankly.
  6. I have a lot of respect for Donna Mills for knowing when it was time to call it a day for Abby when she did. So many actresses (especially at that age) would have just stayed for the consistent paycheck, but Donna knew that it was time to wrap things up and keep it moving.
  7. And Jennifer continues to have the hosting chops and charisma of a piece of unpolished wood.
  8. Sometimes things last too long for their own good. In KL’s case, I think that was about 4-5 seasons longer than it should have.
  9. I hadn’t seen this clip of Nia Long talking about her time/experience on GL before. She’s very complimentary, basically saying that because she did GL, she was prepared to do everything else she did after and that it was her “college experience” because she landed the role of Kat just after finishing high school. She also alludes to how poorly soap actors are paid and how it was a struggle living in a very expensive city like NYC. I was always so proud of her when she left GL and started to pop up in so many things in the 90’s and after. Melissa Hayden said in an interview a few years ago that the producers were not very nice to Nia at GL when she would ask to do outside projects (assume it was JFP, the only EP she worked for during her time at GL with the exception of Calhoun’s final few mounts at the start of her stint), but Nia sure got the last laugh and longevity in her career after she left.
  10. I do enjoy the music arrangement of the sandcastles opening, if I am honest.
  11. Finn Carr (Rocco) is the best young actor on this show. A shame he's not used much, but they also seem to have given up on much of the younger set since they were used more prominently in the beginning of Mulcahey's stint.
  12. Having my own "f.uck the family" moment like Teri in Soul Food. Just without the trifling cousin also f.ucking my man.
  13. The studio lot is owned by Comcast/Universal, so CBS will be paying a fee for that space. Interesting, but filming in Atlanta is will naturally generate savings to begin with. Excited to see what the production design looks like and how spacious the sets look. I am hoping for something more similar to The City's production model.
  14. Agreed, I'd understand the urgency to have them every day if there were new writers being credited, but that has not been the case. Harmless, I guess, but repetitive given that Toups has already had a long-running archive for the credits on this board.
  15. These posts make me want to take Molly.
  16. Beau DeMayo’s Lawyer Accuses Disney Of “Gaslighting”, Hints At Legal Action Following Dismissal & ‘X-Men ’97’ Credit Removal
  17. More of the alleged allegations are coming out and they’re not good:
  18. Marvel Studios responded back (they never do, so you know this is serious). Apparently, there was an internal investigation that was done on Beau back in March with “egregious findings” that led to his firing - Hollywood Reporter said it was due to a sexual misconduct allegation. Which, if true, I can see why they had to let him go. Apparently, he’s also being stripped of credit for season 2 because he didn’t hold up his end of his exit deal. Marvel Fires Back Over ‘X-Men ’97’ Creator’s Claim He Was “Stripped” of Season 2 Credit, Cites “Egregious” Investigation Findings (Exclusive)
  19. Beau is spilling some tea on his firing. Granted, we haven’t heard Disney’s side yet, but this wouldn’t surprise me.
  20. Reading through Courtney and Diane again - I am assuming Diane is Courtney’s daughter she had to give up for some reason when she was young, and now Diane is vengeful and wants to pay Courtney back for “abandoning” her. Basically, I think Diane will be MVJ/Guza’s new Carly…
