Well, that week of August 2-7 really was the business!!! I loved that it was really headlined by two main storylines. The Jordan/Curtis/Portia triangle really drove that week. And I finally saw Portia vs Stella. GROWN@#$ WOMAN Indeed!!! I liked how while the driving force was the triangle, that it really twinkled down into all these different layers. You have Stella and the letter. You have Trina overhearding and then it created a situation that drew her and Spencer closer together. You have the idea of how that history could impact the present...have they teased anything about maybe Trina is still Taggert's? And Stella up and had a stroke and the letter about the divorce was lost. In a word MESSY. And so soapy. The other storyline was the birthday and Chase finding out about Michael/Willow. All I could say was ooooo. I was not bored with it. And it was bond to happen. And finally he is showing some gray while Michael and Willow are just showing how selfish they are. And Austin...well I see RH has taken up WR mantel of using 'the creepy voice.' Yeeeeeah NO. Other than his little Iago act with Chase that he's doing, he's the only false note in this leg of the story. Though on the other hand, him knowing about all of the Michael/Willow/Chase, this could be the undoing of the Quartermaines. THANK MICHAEL!!! I liked that for the most part, these two storylines made it through the week...well, Michael/Willow/Chase did, Stella with Curtis/Jordan/Portia vanished by Friday...even as they threw in Carly/Jason/the Novaks. While do I feel like this could be Jax's exit story. They really seem to be having Jax and Carly talk about the danger of the Novaks and now we had that one following around Cameron/Joss. OTHER THINGS... I totally forgot that Spencer and Cameron were related...so THANK LAURA!!! I loved seeing her with Spencer and see her with Cameron. Not sure how I feel about this Hayden stuff. But...not bored. Unpopular opinion, but I'm liking the teens act like teens. And KELLY!!!!! 8-11 Oh, you thought I was done. 😜 So Ryan and Spencer might be working together? And now Nik suspects that Spencer is the stalker...right in time for the rager? Well...I have liked that last week the stalker was really moving (along with Trina/Spencer) as a great B story. And it seems like it is slowly but surely becoming the A story this week. About time! The stalker storyline has been going on for months. Heheh...Scott and Lisel. And that reminds me...I hope this is not the end of Terry v Britt. I don't want her to fade away like it seems Lucas has. And oh, Felix is back without that storyline going on. And when is Willow a nurse? Isn't she a teacher?

And I OOPS!!!

Just looking at Twitter. I believe you. I'm still on last week's episode, but today sounds like it was one heck of a ride!!!! Also...CARLOS KING EVERYONE... ETA: OMG...Am I going to pull out a glass of wine for this?

Cool for Sonja! Meanwhile I heard Song Man's Daughter finally makes her long dreaded cameo on tonight's BH and immediately gets dragged. WOW.

@Cat and @Gray Bunny, I use that phrase La Dame used quite often in my own life which is probably why I love that scene so much. I did not come from the best of backgrounds and can be an Anne Shelley (I know...my age is showing) when it comes to my temper when I was younger, but being from a small town and being black and gay it can be a struggle to just...be yourself. Not to mention following your dreams. Even now that I'm older and the workaholic it always seems like someone has to hate on me for being able to do things that they have years on me doing and yet I guess I make it effortless. Just be happy that I do my job and do it well and don't abuse it. Sometimes I need that reminder so I say it like a mantra. And I've been known to encourage people with the same when they feel down over a supervisor. And alas on DALLAS. I guess we are never getting that 'LeeAnne walks in at the end of' cliffhanger now. Now don't hate on me for voicing some Candiace like. I at least have been clear that Production is clearly giving her the good edit (same as Gizelle) and why it's working for her (versus Gizelle). But like I said before...after being burned by Porsha, I am not sure I can say I am completely falling for it. But I can admit that I have drunk the kool-aid. If anything, she seems like she has picked up where she left off in Season 3, but I liked Season 3 Candiace maturing. IF she is maturing that is.

Well...I guess LeeAnne wins then. LOL!!!! But seriously, test shooting? Really? Cuz I know they were testing out long before all these leaks of potential casts. Makes one wonder if they were just trolling folk. Meanwhile...happy for Falynn, but it makes one wonder if Simon's tweets were right. And sounds messy. But sadly we won't be getting Falynn vs Porsha.

I know some people called that part of the scene tough love, but I felt she should not have put Robyn's relationship with Juan out on Front Street like that. Especially since Robyn is down and Robyn always has her back. MEANWHILE...OOPS!!!

And I'm still surprised. I mean how widespread was it? Is Production stopping? What are they doing?

POTOMAC LOL!!! La Dame called it at the reunion last year. She said she and Wendy would be friends. And if you had told me that not only La Dame would be right, but that I would be enjoy them so much, I would have thought you were tripping. But...I REALLY LOVE THEM TOGETHER. And they were even rubbing off on Askale. Her chin check of Gizelle (not to mention La Dame and Wendy tag teaming her) was just delicious. I was cheering on Team Left at the dinner table. The only thing I did not like about another good episode of POTOMAC was what @NothinButAttitude said. This commercial promos kept it real, but the preview from last week said the mess was really suppose to start this week. It looks like it is going to be a slow burn, meaning I suspect next week's cliffhanger will probably be Wendy vs Gizelle. And the editing is wrong for that. False advertisement indeed. LA DAME. And this is why we love her. She had straight talk with Wendy at the end, uplifting her after the Green Eyed Bandits tried to tear her down. She kikied with Askale...even though she is actual ROBYN'S friend. And she still had time to gather Gizelle together. But still knew to pick her battles, using a good amount of wit and grace. She was great throughout. GIZELLE. She was really pressed. And then at that dinner she was going after THREE people (Candiace, Wendy, and Robyn), one of whom is her BFF. WOW. And then her continuing to spread the Eddie rumor...not unlike how she did Monique last season. Always in everyone else's business when she should be in her own. Love the chin check from Askale and gathering she got from La Dame. ROBYN. Okay, I get what you all were saying about Robyn and depression. I loved the talk at dinner about that. The pandemic was not easy on a lot of people. And while it's not over and people have gone on as best as they can, one can forget about the aftereffects. I did not like how Gizelle was badgering her about Juan. Especially while the other ladies were being sympatheic. ASHLEY. ON THE OTHER HAND...I LIVE for Michael Darby shading Robyn re: Juan. I so giggled at him being all I told you so about Robyn and Juan getting married. Oops. It was great to see her with her babies, but it's time for Messy Ashley to hit. CANDIACE. OOooooo look at that!!! Gizelle attacking her marriage? Shocker! But Candiace checked her with the quickness. and La Dame's looks when she did was the icing on the cake. lol. And her as the voice of the reason during the first round of La Dame vs Gizelle...growth? MIA. Had a few brief moments, but was really minimum this week. WENDY. Like I said earlier, I liked that the group got into it about New Wendy. And for the first time, I liked that I saw signs of last season's Wendy. And while she owes (especially those Bandits) anything, I liked that she explained herself. I did wonder if that 'a lot going on' comment was subtle shade at Production editing out her fight with Gizelle at the spa. And of course all of this talk led to her and La Dame tag teaming Gizelle...and the look Gizelle gave her when she giggled at La Dame gathering her...PRICELESS. A good start to the trip, but ready for the mess.

Awwww branching out...

I haven't finished it yet, but I have started to watch the latest BH and I stopped on the scene where Garcelle said that it was telling that all of the Coven was out with Erika while basically the newbies were along in the room. And THAT said it all. And she's right. There has been a divide since last season. There's a reason why people like her and Sutton. Simply put, we got to see their friendship begin. We watched it grow. And most importantly it is a friendship that is consistently one outside of the show. And SPOILER ALERT!!!!...Sutton has gotten close to Crystal as well outside of the show. Those three (and Kathy to my knowledge) do act like actual friends outside of the show and are not afraid to have some problems that we get to see on the show. It does not at all come across fake at the moment and people can relate. To the good and bad. It resonates. Then you have the Coven outside. They are trying to sell that narrative while being sure they are not overstepping too much because like true mean girls, one of them might turn on the rest. Where is the friendship indeed? It's why the majority of the audience is over them. Nothing is real...not even their 'friendship.'...which is more about making a statement on and off the show...funny since they really don't hang when they are not filming. And I think we all know the best HW shows (*cough*Potomac, NJ*cough*) are the ones centered around the real friendships. Even the POTOMAC clip I posted earlier...for all the potstirring in that scene and shade...they come across as an actual group of friends. And the talk was totally relatable since we (and the online community) have been talking about the changes with Wendy. Don't remind me re: Season 8 Kyle. Ugh. Ex Soap Opera Star can obsess all she wants. As long as she knows Black Twitter will get her face, lips, and body all the way together if she comes for Garcelle obsessively like she does Denise and LVP (who is opening yet ANOTHER restaurant and continuing spinoffs). Yeah, I haven't seen much Kyle vs Erika yet, but since it was mentioned...I've noticed a lot of looks between Kyle and Ex Soap Opera Star that Erika does not seem to be noticing. So...things that make you go hmmm....would they truly throw her under the bus? REALLY??? Who's Terhadee? Yeah...it really was a good one.

I feel that Kyle has totally ironically been a Bobby Fischer in this whole Erika deal. It's why I continue to bring up the point that it's clear...like with Erika's mascara rundown scene with Kyle being the talk-to versus Erika's BFF Ex Soap Opera Star...when Kyle is being 'Producer Kyle' versus just 'Kyle Wannabe HBIC.' She definitely knows after last season that last label won't fly right now given how they ganged up on Denise...though she tried it this season with Dorit. But she really are moving people along right down to dear sis Kathy. It's plain as day, but subtle enough to give one pause. And I feel she is playing it well IMHO. I hate to say it but she really is spinning a clever web that intrigues as it goes on. However, Erika is not a fool regardless of her questionable acting skills. There's a reason why she has FINALLY changed her tune online like how she should have been from the beginning...a victim with perhaps some sympathy for the victims if she herself was not in suuuuuch pain. That debatedably MIGHT make her more favorable. But she has been taking pot shots at people and I don't think it is just Sutton she is aiming at. I also feel there is a reason as this has gone on (and it should be a 20 episode season per Kathy and Andy C unless they cut down the number like they did last season due to backlash allegedly) that online opinion appear to be that it will be Kyle vs Erika at the reunion. It is like you and FrenchBug said and I agree as well. It's not the first time a Housewife was one way and watched the season or edits and suddenly or slowly changed their tune. Remember Kyle last season? Then they took that unannounced hiatus and everything shifted in behavior AND confessional. So I am sure as a Producer, Kyle has a hint of where things are going, told her henchwoman Ex Soap Opera Star like they did with Denise, and have started a counter narrative to Erika. At some point, they have to know some of the information the rest of us do and see the need to step back enough to not feel the backlash, but make sure Erika does not see them do it. And now they have scapegoats in Garcelle and Sutton so that makes it even easier. Meanwhile, they can paint themselves as victims of the whole ordeal, hoping to smell like roses...rather than being seen for the thorns they are. So while I am sure they are being supportive on WWHL, I really do expect the worm to turn. And while I do think Garcelle and Sutton will still get attacked come reunion time...they might not be the only ones this time. Assuming the cracks in the Coven right now are truly that. Cracks.

I agree. There be too many moments that just scream soap opera and that they get it (the wedding, Tracy's visits, the current stuff with Willow/Michael/Chase, Spencer's return) and then there be clear ugh in the direction. And it goes downhill.

HAHAHAHA!!! So if this article is true...I called it right yesterday with Dorinda!!! Perfection. As for SLC and the timeslot...AT LAST!!!! Last season the main complaint was its timeslot because their first season was FLAWLESS. And now putting it there...WITH POTOMAC!!!! I might have to keep two bottles of wine on Sunday. SUNDAY NIGHTS ARE BACK, BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
