RHOA REUNION LOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!

RHoDubai Wow. Those Carolines looked so pressed. Finally watched last week's episode ahead of the finale tonight. And that was the impression I got from watching it. That and it felt uneven regardless of the Ayan's reveal at the end of the episode. It has been established during the season that sometimes for all of her languages that she speaks, that Ayan does have a language barrier. And as someone who has had to deal with it often, there are moments where that is true...and moments when that is not the case. THIS is the former. The fact that Caroline was trying to make it into the latter for Brooks really took away any good will she had made toward Ayan. And Ayan was and continued to be the bigger person this past week, making up for me being Team Caroline the week before. That Caroline would throw her under the bus (but thankfully Production did the rollback to show the many times Ayan APOLOGIZED to Caroline) simply showed how threatened she is to me of Ayan. The sad thing is they are really and truly just alike...simply different approaches. But heaven forbid Caroline actually listens, too focused on her own agenda...or as Ayan, Lesa, and Brooks all pointed out...her being a Karen. As for Brooks, she is clearly jealous of how much Lesa and Ayan have each other's back. I guess I would have to know how long Brooks and Ayan were friends before Lesa because she is coming across as if she is mad that Lesa stole her away. Then again, I started to wonder (and those Production rollbacks did not help) if Brooks is right and Lesa is moving a lot more subtle a la an LVP than it appears. Not a sniper from the side mind you, but definitely keeps her hands clean. And then...Sergio...hmmm...I'm sorry he ruined the vibe. How is the group going to gell if he keeps popping in. It reminds me of the tales I hear here and online of Alex and Simon from NY. AYAN. Continues to be authentic to me...over the top and all. Sorry, not sorry. And at this point, it really does feel like they are coming for her because they are basic. Goodness knows being into it with her keeps people relevant on this show. If she was not the HBIC, these little girls would not be running around trying to make it seem like Ayan was being extra otherwise. Ayan was actually trying to be the bigger person and that's shocking given how she started out the season. That said...that reveal of what happened to her when she was five. That was sad. CAROLINE. Smh. I feel like I've been the biggest supporter of her being on the show, and that she would start to bring it. Oh, she's bringing it and showing more. And yet...this? No, ma'am!! lol. The walking definition of 'two steps forward, four steps backwards.' She was actually in the right in the disagreement with Ayan. And while Ayan rose to the occasion...Caroline took them all the waaaaaay back to Square One, by being LoL Caroline and not accepting the apology. Then she killed the vibe by having (and allowing) Sergio to show up to camera-hop and give us weak camera time when she was starting to give WITHOUT him. THEN she started lying about Ayan to Brooks. Though I thought it was hilarious that she worked this hard to discredit Ayan and yet if Ayan is just a puppet, she didn't want her??? Isn't Juliet and half of her friends puppets to her? Just saying... LESA. Hmmmmm. That is the sound of me giving her some side-eye? Could she be playing in everyone's face and we don't know it? Or is she right? After all she said at the beginning at the season that the cause of her rivalry with Caroline was the fact that Nina had been warning her off of Caroline...only to turn around and become friends with Caroline herself. So...who can be believed? At least she called her out. NINA. Yeeeeah, I don't think the girls are wrong about her. She definitely ran after Caroline when she ran away. And one can questioned where her loyalty lies. BROOKS. Speaking of loyalty, I was looking at her this episode and thinking of Porsha's taunting of Cynthia on RHOA about flip flopping and being two faced. There she was relating with Ayan and Lesa. In fact, what she said about black women vs white women resonated with me, bringing up a past love...well a woulda, coulda, shoulda...where my friends were more about another friend being happy with him and deserve to be happy versus...I didn't deserve to be happy...in the end, he was better off with me. But...as the black person, you are just supposed to suck it up...like you don't have feelings of your own. Just ugh. Sorry. Rant. Anyway, there was Brooks being messy with Caroline later on as if she was not just relating with Ayan and Lesa. And then she threw her own jealousy into the conversation when she knows Lesa and Caroline are prickly with each other. Flip flopper. SARA. Enjoyed her having fun. And then other than a slight hint of pot stirring (as if Ayan wouldn't say what she said to her face) between Ayan and Nina, she didn't do anything this episode. Bring on the finale!!!

THIS. But...he bounced back? I didn't care at all for the Dennisons...until they gave Megan something to do with someone the audience liked (Tony). And of course we know Tricia was aimed at Ryan and Nina only to wind up going cray cray. Hard to believe given their boring beginnings. Any time I hear about Veronica I think of an old college friend who loved the campy cray cray of Veronica and I can still 'that bitca Nikki' in my head. lol. But like someone said above...what made it funny was how self-absorbed the characters were that they did not notice a psycho was in their midst.

Which means it's on YT somewhere. Or at least storylines.

Well that's sad to hear since I saw the trailer to DON'T WORRY DARLING last night and immediately was looking forward to it. BLACK ADAM...not so much...DC's whole movie schedule suuure has turned into a real clustrerfrell hasn't it?

As someone who was and continue to be an uberfan of Narnia, I can completely understand what you are saying about this. I tend to lean toward if something can capture the essence of a creation, I tend to be good with it myself...to use an example the old drama of Keenu Reeves as Constantine and people disliking him and it on the fact that he was not blond and the trenchcoat was not yellow, the setting isn't London, etc....but imo the movie (and he) captured the essence. And you at least have the writer's own words on your side so I can imagine. And yet...I feel you are still being more open minded to it than you are being given credit for. So...you do you. Hopefully, it will not greatly disappoint you.

I am looking forward to Lesa vs Caroline, but throughout the season (I still haven't watched last week's episode yet so my apologies for not replying yet to it...later today ), I have always felt the potential was there for a rivalry. Especially since the first trailer we got hinted at one. But yet it appeared that it was Ayan vs Caroline. Now I too am wondering if Lesa has been more subtle (how LoL of her if so) at coming at Caroline. Things to make you go hmmm. I mean all that tea...just...wow...it makes me want to go back to LoL to see if anything peeks out now. I mean...like you said...it makes sense. Since Caroline did run those circles and was part of that elite. And yet...it just never occurred to me that that was even a possibility. Mind blown.

8-17 Well...uh...sums it up. I know I rolled my eyes a few episodes back when Chelesa...after what 10 years...decided she wanted to bring up how Johnny was made. After years of her not even being in Billy's orbit...NOW she wants to be? Talk about being transparent with the writing. Not rolling my eyes at all the Devon vs Nate drama though. Loved Elena cluing Nate into Imani's Lady MacBeth act. Of course, I gasped at Sally revealing she got no phone call. And now Lily has been dropped into the middle of the drama. So...Devon has a deeper issue with Nate than he's just new on the job huh? There's the potential for messy there if only the writers would go there. And bring back Olivia while you are at it...but I know wishful thinking. See? Knew Chance would be onto Victor?

Well, she had me at the diva head toss with shades and glasses during the 50th anniversary, but the potential for Dr. O was there from Day 1. And while the writing has been questionable...and expected given RC's writing...still glad she is around and amazed at how the writers have found ways to keep her on (and off) screen. OOOOooo sounds like I have some good scenes coming. That said... 8-11 Well, those writers did not waste any time trying to get Dex shirtless. It's nice and all...and he's clearly packing below...but even I have to pick on how typical soap body he is. But I might be picking more because what I said before...with the turn in Esme's storyline, he's being aimed where her spot was in the teens. And honestly, I liked Esme being there better. It was built better even with the starts and stops in the teen storyline. There's a slight feel of propping with Dex. I would rather they just...write what they have planned with him. And speaking of writing...aha! So got to the scenes mentioned about Cody being written into a legacy family. I was expecting it. But to Dominique? And making him a half-brother to Serena. Uh...though I like he respects her at least. Still...le sigh. What good is that tie if no one connected to it is around. Serena is gone. Katherine is dead. Dominique is dead. Seems odd. But it gives Scott something to do. Awwww at these Spencer and Sonny scenes. It is nice to know when the chips are dead, they still play that part of their history. And I must admit that building up to the verdict that the momentum has really been gaining, and I'm feeling it. And how it is morphing into an umbrella tale. Speaking of being put into other people's story, I am loving seeing TJ more and still having a point of view even though he's basically a talk-to to several people. I am wondering how deep he will be in this Willow pregnancy tale. I also think he might be the one to figure out that Willow and Nina are related. Kristina sighting! It was nice to see her scenes with Sonny. Still headstrong. Sad they don't use her more. Okay...I'm READY for Chase and Brooklyn to continue confessing their feelings. This has gotten ridiculous.

8-18 I know people suspected it would happen, but I still had my jaw on the floor seeing Sheila-in-disguise seduce Deacon. And then the mask pulled off reveal (not to mention the toe missing and Deacon's total recall) was something right out of DAYS OF OUR LIVES. Loved it. lol. Kinda sad that they threw Deacon's sobriety away, but... I accidentally missed an episode and we have Thomas vs Hope over Douglas now? How? Why? And for that matter, is it not wrong to keep him from his son if he has changed and she has seen proof of it with her own eyes? I do like how it seems to be making the family messy though. Shut up, Brooke!!! A sign of good writing when I roll my eyes at my screen and say that. But the joke was on her when Ridge told her he kissed Taylor. I just wish he had said he started the kiss. Though Brooke did realize it was mutual.

RHOA FINALLY CAUGHT UP!!! And...that was Jamacia? I felt like it was going to be more dramatic than that. Or perhaps my expectations were too high. It was still a great cast trip. However, I guess I did not expect make-ups. And that make-up between Kandi and Marlo was hilarious. Moreso because Kandi had mentioned it in interviews before Marlo went scorched earth online, but I didn't realize that they would SHOW it. A hoot. To me, I felt like the trip really exposed the 'battle'lines so to speak. On one side we have Kenya, Kandi, and Drew. And on the other, there is Marlo, Sheree, and Sanya. And while I felt Drew and Sheree navigate between the groups well enough to keep the lines blurry...the trip really and truly was showing off how tight Marlo and Sanya had grown. And then Sanya thought she could take on Kenya. GIRL, BYE. There was definitely a lot to like. No drama over rooms. Kenya meeting John. Marlo vs Kandi Round 1. Monyetta's man's reactions to the mess. Drew hurting her leg. Marlo vs Kandi Round 2. Sanya vs Kenya. And there was more fun with Drunk Kenya too. It was a mad-cap adventure I guess I should say. No problem with that. KENYA. Continues to be having a great season from what I can see. I loved Sanya being her wingman with John!! Cuz...that is what girlfriends should do. lol. I was just sad it was all downhill from there. Even when Kenya was being annoying, I still felt she was in the right. For every time Sanya was a good host, there was a time she was not. And then she was popping attitude over it. And Marlo as a Temp Host when she was not getting along with anyone? No, ma'am. I just felt Kenya saw how fake Sanya was being and it says something that she gathered her on the last night for sure...but she STILL gave her the benefit of the doubt. KANDI. MVP of the trip!!! After taking a lot of Marlo's lip for the last few episodes, she finally unloaded on her and it was a sight to see. Especially since she kept on her neck for the whoooole trip. I still loved the fight in the van where she was 'keep your MFing sorry.' lol. Kandi was not having it. Meanwhile, love that tea that Todd spilled on how Marlo joined waaaaay back in Season 4. She even shaded Kenya in fun. And then to see her and Marlo make up over KFC???? I knew Kandi did an interview about it, but I'm still shocked they SHOWED it. It is a shame that their make-up ain't sticking. SHEREE. It was nice to see Bone Collector Sheree again. And I honestly hope she gets She by Sheree up and running. DREW. Drew, Drew, Drew!!! How is anyone to invest in Drop It with Drew when she stays hurting herself. SMH. She was fun comedy relief though I rolled my eyes every time I saw Tampa Ralph. I still cannot believe her turnaround from last season, but I'm laughing with her now, and not at her. And her and Ralph's reaction shots (along with Monyetta and her man Heath's) at Marlo vs Kandi Round 1 was EVERYTHING. MARLO. Team Too Much 1. Got what she had coming. How did she think the audience was going to feel when it turned out it was true she threw her nephews out. Raising kids is tough, and that storyline was going to definitely resonate. The fact she went to therapy after the fact (versus before) really and truly makes it seem like her nephews was just a storyline. So...no wonder no one is on her side. And then projecting onto Tampa Ralph? Yeeeeeah guilty heffa. Kandi handled her good and I loved each time she did. Well deserved. SANYA. Team Too Much 2. I guess it said something since they were like two peas in a pod during a lot of the trip. It felt like the anti-Kenya/Kandi to be honest. So it was not surprising to me that while Marlo was getting it from Kandi that Sanya was getting it from Kenya. Whether Kenya was being a good guest or not (I would say so-so), it did come across that Sanya had an agenda...and it was not all work trip. I felt she used the trip to try to come for Kenya when she did not send for her at the end...and we all know how that ends with Kenya. I mean Sanya could bring herself to apologize to Sheree for some of the misunderstandings, but not Kenya? And think Kenya should not express her feelings? And then got an attitude about it? And then tried to be a boss bitca at Kenya after tooting her own horn to Sheree about how she was getting Kenya together? Guuuuurl...I hollered when Kenya swiftly gathered her and 'I'll wait' took me out. Sanya was clearly looking for a feud. And the one with Drew was not working so she did what most newbies do on RHOA...just attack Kenya. Nice try, but no. Looking forward to next week and the return of Apollo... I would love it if Garcelle walked into the reunion with PROOF Diana did it. Twitter slueths (or Black Twitter) don't play.
