I even started to think instead of the Hook, we might get a whodunit since Nik was getting into it with a growing number of people.

And yes, from the moment Imani stormed into Amanda's room, there was fire. And we didn't know a lot, but we knew she was ambitious. And she was everything you said. Even Jill noticed. I would have loved to see Jill take her under her wing. Imani wanted to be a power couple and had no problem trying to make it happen. She was fiercely loyal, too. I like the actress who plays Audra, but yes, she does come across as an opportunist at best and a plot device at worst. Any attempt to humanize her like when it was revealed she was pregnant with Noah's baby and miscarried, but still loved him has just fallen by the wayside for her to be the community bike. And good actress, but that's a lot to play and keep it from coming across like a...plot device. So hard to root for someone when it's paper thin on motivation and what's inside the person. Shamelessly thirsty at that. It's been a minute since we had a good vixen. I am so sad that looks like it won't happened Audra/Noah/Allie. It had some potential.

This. Not her ethics. They actually did foreshadowing with this a week and a half ago. It stuck out in a scene between Nik and Liz because they had not touched on Liz vs her parents since Jeff left town. As soon as Liz mentioned it and left and the camera panned to Nik's face you knew the wheels were turning.

I agree as well. I've felt as much when Nate let 'the woman he loved enough to blow up his takeover for' aka Elena sit all by herself for dinner without bothering to let her know he was with Victoria. Same. At least Imani's motives were clear and built up over time. And dare I say it...had more rooting value. Audra? Who is she? lol. Better she stay in a triangle with Noah and Allie than this.

Well I'm finding this discussion extremely informative. I look forward to hearing about more of the changes you all notice. I like very much it sounds like they are getting back to SHOWING character motivations and what not.

Well, I take it from the chatter that that means that Nik won't be killed off. At least for now. So does that mean AH is finishing off the storyline or...just for now though? I guess time will tell.

I agree. And the audience was in an uproar, too which I remembered and loved. It was one of the retcon that was TOTALLY possible off and ON screen so people had something to discuss and research and everything. And Jessica was a legacy character we watched grow up before our eyes. Totally got people in the feels.

It is VERY weird. Guilt. BUT also why Candiace is lashing out now. Especially if the rumors are true and La Dame and Candiace fell out at the reunion. Probably because Candiace fell for the GEB's trap and not knowing that Robyn was lying.
