Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
NY 'And now you're coming for me?' *takes off glasses* 'Do you want me to come for you?' 'No I don't.' 'No, you don't.' Me: *falls out* BRYNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!! That was such an Aquarius move that I had to rewind that a few times. And my highlight of the season so far. But done with the cast trip. It started slow for me, but fun. And it snowballed quickly. What started as a distasteful gang-up on Jenna turned into a well-deserved gang-up on Erin. And I didn't mind that at all. You know for someone using an old RHOD tagline and sitting around trying to be a Regina George with Sai as her Gretchen, Eric really cannot do confrontation well at all. Meanwhile, the other ladies had no problem calling her out. Which was clear at the wreath event a few episodes back. So how did Erin even think she was going to come into this trip and trying to mean girl everybody??? HOW??? Smh. I felt nothing at her fake tears. She could barely come across human during her woman to woman talk with Ubah. So yes @Cat she was such a Karen. What was the cherry on top? Erin might have gotten away with all the mean girl stuff if it wasn't for JESSEL!!! Oh, I was living for Jessel giving unbothered all throughout the trip with her Friendship Contract-esque Kill list. I would kill for a gif of her and Sai as they sat back with drinks as Brynn v Erin and Ubah v Erin went down in the hot tub. Cuz she was stirring that pot from the moment she heard Erin was still talking crap about her. And what I love was she STOOD IN IT LIKE A HOUSEWIFE. LOVE. And all this started really cuz Erin tried to make Jenna cry. I am looking forward to the fallout. That said... UBAH. WAY TO STEP UP, GIRL!!! I would think a cousin of Chanel Ayan would have a backbone. And Ubah did not disappoint on the trip. How that prank snowballed. And as I watched and the Confessional revealed why Ubah was upset, I was just hoping that Ubah would be able to verbalize it to Erin. But Erin was more interested in crossing between proving she was a boss bitca and being a victim rather than take ownership and just apologize...which is why things got worse for Erin. And then to call a black woman aggressive??? Ubah was within her right to educate Erin on that, too. Outside of that...she was fun and kept getting everyone to have fun. Her, Jessel, and Brynn were a whole ki-ki. JENNA. I cannot believe how Erin set her up for a fall. But to be honest...that was Jenna's fault. And also such a Gemini thing. lol. She finally tried to show some truth with some humor...only to get thrown under the bus. Jenna should have just owned her feeling about coach a bit, too. Though I was also getting tired of how these girls continue to not be able to see Jenna's pov when she has explained it already. Thank God for her friendship with Brynn. Oh, I've enjoyed the Brynn/Jenna friendship and knowing their signs and watching it...I can vouch...SAME. lol. JESSEL. One of my favorite moments throughout the trip was watching Jessel putting the pictures together about Erin and cluing the other girls in as she got 2 + 2 = 4. And then waited until the hot tub to drop all that information. Or to stir the pot with all that information where Erin couldn't run nor hide from the other girls because Jessel had already clued the other girls in before about what Erin had said. Meanwhile, she got to sit back, look good (low body esteem where cuz she looked GOOD), and sip her drink with Sai. She was a vibe, too, and I was enjoying it. SAI. Yes, I said that she was being a Gretchen to Erin's Regina George. And there were times she put her 2 cents in to try to deflect the girls from coming for Erin and I was like STFU LET THEM COOK. hehe. But she also was wise enough to see the moments where she couldn't even help Erin and had to...LET THEM COOK. lol. And what makes it funnier...is that outside of Brynn(?) mentioning it...Sai got away with no one coming for her and she was stirring the pot a bit right along with Erin. BRYNN. Lol. Everything about her was a moment. But when she said what I posted at the start of this post. YES. She is sooooooooooooo my favorite. How she took off those shades. How she did the head tilt. And as I said before she was giving Brooke Davis with Rachel's voice in that moment when she was about to drag Erin. And It was FLAWLESS. God, I love her. lol. She's totally on my ever-increasing 'Aquarius I Like' list. And as I mentioned, I enjoyed all of her friendship moments with Jenna. Oh, and her being torn between her drink or finding Ubah's phone was a hoot. ERIN. BITCH. I said it. No Buffyspeak. lol. I at least saw her reasoning. But she's my least favorite. Because she came on this trip specifically to stir the pot. And then it backfired on her sooo bad she had to resort to tears and Karen behavior. No, Ma'am...I'm not okay with that. I thought it was quite telling on her. And...not a good tell. And now...to RHoDubai.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
@Cheap21 unless it's changed (I'm back on the NJ season when Tre first starts seeing Luis) aren't NJ usually now 13 or so episodes? I also concur with everyone else on reunions. A season can be bad, but it's saved by its reunion. That's been the case mostly for RHOP, OC sometimes, and even RHOA. I feel I can add NJ to this list for Jennifer's 1 on 3 drag of Marge, Melissa, and Jackie, too. The fans know it. The advertisers know it. Everyone will so clock out of a season, but come back for the reunion. I didn't watch BH last season, but I tuned in for Part 1 of the reunion at least because it sounded good online and here like it would be good and it did not disappoint. And I think everyone here knows how I feel about going out of order, but that was a case of I didn't mind at all or I didn't at all feel lost thanks to the conversations here and clips online. But just like NY's s13 reunion being cancelled, it just seems like an attempt on Andy Bravo's part to help some favorites escape accountability when they should be having those feet to the fire. STAT! Take away accountability. Take away resolution. What do you have? A bad show. And the audience...are not interested.

Hehe. You feel me then. re: replacement music The early college years of BH and their senior year was the same way and I just rme. Cuz with BH, they just cut the scenes completely from what I heard on the dvds. Meanwhile, depending on the channel, it either had the original music or not. Maddening. lol. OOooo...I think you will like it Season 5. It does fall into a story trope that DC slowly kept falling into in its later seasons, but still a really good season. No spoilers here, but let me know when you watch Episode 1 of Season 5 for some good tea. Omg! Yes. BUFFY more or less gets better as the seasons go on up until their network move (you are still a loooong way off so enjoy ). Then the fanbase splits from what I remember in real time. Though I feel as the original fanbase has grown older they have appreciated the later seasons better. Cuz even a bad Buffy episode is, was, always has been better than most shows. So many good things and payoffs to early plot threads. But let me ssssh.

PBS launches free retro channel
Oh, I was such a bookworm as a kid. It was not unusual in elementary school to see me at recess sitting in a tree reading a book. I so keep to myself right up until junior high/high school. It still shocked me now with my birthday in a week how much I actually read as a kid...Oz. Little House i missed with a little bit. The Phantom Tollbooth. All kinds of fantasy books that I don't remember that I read (or watched an adaptation) now. But Ann with an E and her relatable to me self growing up felt like I was seen so like you I stumbled onto her. I had not known they did a show. So I looked forward to seeing it every year. And when I found out there was a whooooole tv show (that I still need to binge completely now that I think about it cuz Felicity and Gus...woof. lol)...I was in heaven. Wuthering Heights...Mmmmm. Lol. Tell me about it with Degrassi. I think the only reason I found out about it...besides again keeping to myself as a bookworm...is because it came on at the time it did. I assume PBS thought kids would be at school back then. Not at home off from school or having a sick day with the tv on. This was in Arkansas and it was PBS so I was shocked to see something different, but relatable and...edgy. I still hear the Stephanie Kaye chant in my head. lol. But I was curious about these kids and I didn't like how Stephanie was treating her brother. And her brother with his one friend. I related. And don't get me started on Joey Jeremiah Esquire...lol...another young crush. And Lucy...was probably one of the first time I saw my color reflected back to me on tv so I looked forward to seeing more of her. So I was hooked, trying to find the show again whenever I was off from school in that timeslot. But I do find that funny that I don't remember any controversary around Degrassi on my local PBS channel when I was young. Now TALES OF THE CITY on the other hand....had a big old mess here from what I remember growing up. I wasn't even able to sneak any peeks and I'm not sure if it was completely broadcasted here originally. It was that controversial for us Arkansas folk.

What Are You Watching/Binging/Streaming Now?
Oh yeah. My mother had the biggest crush on the main actor...may he rest in peace. Kelly Rutherford is always good. Them soap roots. And Stacy...oooh yeah. Before her recast of Kristen (and Y&R Patty) she was on there and SUPERBOY so I've always liked her. And she was really breathtakingly beautiful.

Even this season, Lesa has said in interviews that she was willing to be open to Stanbury, but she still knows she's a snake so I believe that.

The Politics Thread
No worries. I've have mentioned...rarely for this very reason...how I prefer to not know too much about my actors/actresses' (and writers/directors/etc) personal life versus their professional one. Sometimes I can separate the two and it does not take away from my enjoyment of the material...to a fault. It really has been a case by case for me with the person in question. And it definitely gets harder the more history and memories I have with material (for example...Joss Whedon and BUFFY...which I have not dared to watch on a binge due to all his drama and the now kinda known BTS drama because I watched in real time and as a kid and it inspired. So knowing what was behind the curtain does make me feel a way versus ANGEL which I can still binged easily and slowly enough). And if the pandemic taught me anything...there's been a LOT of actors and actresses who let it all hang out so I no longer like them nor support them even if my history goes back to being a kid because IMHO it's the disappointment of seeing him as human yes, but a flawed and in some case willingly defiant human at that. A few soap opera stars no got fired due to Co-Vid principles come to mind. So basically, I don't go looking nor do I run away when it pops up in my face, either. So it truly is news to me about Martha. The news had not found me until now. Ironically, I have heard Martha make those comments about Rose. And I felt that was clear and it definitely showed on screen how much she loved the character of Rose. But...back to politics. Sorry to get off-topic. Lock the Orange up!!!

GH: May 2024 Discussion Thread
5-20 Wow. They gave Gregory a whole montage??? And darn it if I didn't tear up a little. It was probably my own father relationship. And I did like seeing the younger pictures of GH since he was quite the fox back in the day on tv. I can't believe that against my own judgment...because I did want Alexis and Harmony way back when...that I grew to like him with first Alexis and now Tracy. But he did have a finite end. Kinda like some of the other characters were getting with PM writing. So alas...and I can't help, but wonder if that means we about to get a more bloated cast since I honestly felt PM was writing with a goal in mind for a lot of the characters, some of which included exits. I know Kristina isn't as oblivious as this, but Kate Mansi did such a great job with the disillusionment over Sonny attacking Dex. I did like the Sonny/Carly scenes because when it comes to an unsettled Sonny, Carly has been good at calming him. That said...so I take this to be the next turn in the Sonny Off his Meds storyline. So hmmmm. That is the question...something I'm starting to say as well. I love that I was one of the first to call the Drew/Nina hate coming from a mile away. And I do enjoy how we all picked up on the vibes between Drew and Willow. So I do hope they go there with Drew and Willow (though I love Drew/Nina) if only to see Michael's head explode. I hope it goes down like that as well. Same.

Who didn't? lmao. But yes. I read the books before I saw the show and seeing the classroom scene with Ann with an E hitting him with her board...yeah I was swooned as a pre-teen. I always wanted to go to Prince Edward Island to see if I too could find someone who could deal with my freckles and overdramatic young self. lol. I cried with everyone else when Jonathan Crombie passed. Another part of my childhood gone. I was the reverse with my bookworm self so I stumbled onto the show during one of PBS's telethon periods where they always aired their best shows like Anne of Green Gables to donate from what I remember as a kid. And I think you are right about the Megan Follows cover!!! It took me forever to realize what a tie-in book was. And seeing the Narnia shows got my brother interested in reading since I winded up teaching him how to read by making little plays based off of the Narnia shows and we would play act them growing up. The power of PBS indeed!!! You are making me realize another reason I loved PBS and those conversative sadden me given where it used to be...DEGRASSI JUNIOR HIGH. I used to long for lunch breaks at home when school was out to watch it at 11:30 (around Y&R's schedule) and noon.

As an Arkansan, I understand. Like I said yesterday, working there for almost a decade...it used to be MUCH cheaper than it is now. But in terms of trashy...well...I believe my friend and also former co-worker who left to follow his music dreams said it best...Olive Garden is Italian Denny's. And surprisingly gets picked on A LOT online I see.

Smh. Not often no so this is tea to me. And sad tea because I liked Holden and Lily. And this taints her at least in terms of my Holden and Lily. I hate it when actors/actresses do that. And it takes A LOT to get me to that point so 'high praise' for her. Guess it shows how much I 'feel' about Trump now.
