tbf, I don't think it's at the top of the writing team's list, either. In fact, it's one of the things that has confound me. Cuz I can't decide if it's a case of slow burn, another tease, or just co-parenting their kids...who have vanished so I guess the kids being touched on and the consequences of their fathers was a PM thing.

While I most definitely don't want those fan wars back...I cannot help but observe that if there was ever a time in Jason's history for it to happen again...now would be right...outside of the FBI/Pikeman story, Jason really does seem like all he wants to do job-wise is the coffee...which is a legit business. Given Liz's major issue in later years was the fact that Jason was married to the mob...perhaps she might give him a chance once/if her and Finn break up.

What Are You Watching/Binging/Streaming Now?
Lol. One of these days. Yeah, I heard from my brother. I want to say that they were usually kept in when they were in repeats on SoapNet, but otherwise...nope. Yay!!! You made it through Season 4 fast. I still feel Season 5 was good and I used to rewatch it on VHS often. But I moved before I could watch the last season. Before there were streaming, there were webpages that did transcripts of episodes so I have a rough idea of Season 6. One of these days I might sit down and watch it to get a feel if I would have liked the season if I had watched it. I stay by what I said...the worst episode of BUFFY...which if I think about it has only been 2...one of which I am sure you have gotten to by now...one comes waaaay later...is still heads above most tv shows. My way of saying their quality stayed high for the most part.

LOL!!!! Cuz you know I will completely and utterly queen out when THE queen shows her face. That said...I'm sorry to hear you are stepping back. Though I understand. After the PM announcement, I did. I have been playing catch up over the last few days (watch out, June Thread, I'm entering hehe), and watching it...funnily enough PM really does seem to be doing the Rules to me. He took characters that were doing nothing on the canvas (Alexis, Drew and Nina, Ava, Dante) and actually using them. They are not all my favorites and even now there are some that will never be my favorites, but I cannot say that I am not liking the stories in spite of the battle behind the scenes. If I have to pick something that I have loved seeing it has been the story of Alexis fighting to get her lawyer license back. They don't give NLG enough to do. And I have loved her reinventing herself as a publisher. So it seem old school soap to dangle the carrot of her law license back. And it started small. And I felt all the beats were played. It has had a beginning. It also had a juicy middle by introducing yet another Byrne brother...the very reason Alexis lost her license in the first place by a brother I felt was inspired. And then the added twist that Ava was doing this all because of Julian. It just really brings in so much of Alexis's history. And I would like to see the ending, but I don't feel we are going to get the ending it would have been. I could say the same about the growing Dante and his conflict between being a good officer and Sonny's son. I could say the same about Drew and Nina who I called from GO for hate sex and now look at them. Sonny vs Laura/Anna. I feel like those all had good, small beginnings and we are hitting the middle of those stories. But now...alas... I'm curious if it is going to be like B&B for me where I was about to tap out and then something grabbed my interest or the acting grabbed my interest and I kept going. Same.

I believe Kenya herself prove it false...cuz why would she do that at HER refused-to-be-filmed-by-old-Production spa event. Still...some exchanged of words happened. And Porsha has been saying the newbies have been coming for her and Kenya so it should be interesting to see. That said...no more leaks. I just said the day before my birthday, that the best HW shows this past years has been the ones where we knew very little of what's been going on/happened. SLC with Monica. OC...from what you all told me (my binge starts soon ). Miami of course even though we got teases here or there. And Dubai looks like it will be a great season since we only know OF the fallout...and nothing else.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
NY I knew I loved the cast when I heard 'On the season finale of RHONY...' I was shocked. I had been so into the last few episodes that the episodes fell by. Color me shocked AND surprised. So of course I watched the season finale. But let me backed back... I was looking forward to the fallout from the cast trip. I wanted to see if Erin had learned. And I was looking forward to what @Cat had mentioned about Sai. Yeeeeah you were RIGHT. I've been saying that I like Sai's straight forwardness since the season started. Even if it was more blunt than what people liked. And that she seem like a Gretchen with her own brain to Erin's Regina George routine. But these last few episodes, she joined Erin on my distasteful list. How dare they come for Jessel's marriage. I can understand why Sai got angry with Jessel being late by 45 minutes, but NOT about Jessel's marriage. And her carrying drama was not cool with me. And Erin can have a seat with her now suspiciously looking Swinger marriage. Glass houses and all that. Thankfully, it all came to a head at Brynn's birthday party. And I LOVE Jessel putting those mean girls on blast. Because that was how they have been all season. Sai's just more stealth about it. And as I already said...loved Jessel's drive-by attack on Erin/Sai. They were just throwing shade at her. They were just talking about how they didn't want to even interact with Jessel. Jessel came in there like Kenya Moore and pay them DUST...and now there's a problem??? Ooooooo how I LOVE, LOVE, LOVED Jessel's matching Sai's energy and cracking that smug face of hers. I also loved that they actually did resolve their issues. How old NY of them...where the older ladies could feud, too, but would come together and keep it moving. Which brings me to the cliffhanger. Le sigh. I loved the little friend group that was growing between Jessel, Brynn, and Ubah (with some Jenna on the side). So the drama surrounding Ubah's boyfriend. Smh. Part of me can understand why Ubah was not wanting to bring up too much about her boyfriend. Especially since it was not serious...yet. Of course, I am curious...but perhaps next season. But also how did it look that they were talking about Ubah behind her back. And so much!! Wow! Well it WAS Brynn's birthday and she was drunk. I guess my question was...did Sai say the location on camera? It did not seem like it. I hope they are able to resolve it as well. But...a good cliffhanger going into the reunion. They definitely have a good group dynamic. I'm almost scared for Eric to come in as the main producer for their second season. UBAH. It's so funny how she was barely there at the start of the season, but she's factored so much where it counts. Her arc this season has been be a good friend and also what it is like as a single girl...so totally relatable. And I thought the misunderstanding between her and Sai's husband even more enlightening. And Ubah has kids as well, correct? So the story of a single successful mother. So much to digest now that I'm writing that. I had thought Sai's husband really put his foot in his mouth and felt he was not saying what he said as an insult so Ubah took it soooo wrong. Liked it was resolved. So the explosion about the boyfriend...is revealing to me. Ubah seems to have a thing about her image. I felt her feelings more about the phone drama though. I mean...dare I ask...is he married...or is it just fear of being seen as a single mother...which can make a guy run? Or just the fact everyone was talking about her...which I could see given how she felt at the start of the season and how she felt alone? ERIN. Did she learn NOTHING from everyone coming for her?? As soon as she got back to NYC, there she was with Sai being mean girls. Just smh. At least, she was smart enough to try to make some amends with Jessel and knew to stay out of the Sai/Brynn/Ubah mess even if she was also a witness. That said...are her and her man swingers? I felt like they were hinting at that. Wouldn't be surprised given how sex-obsessed they clearly are. It made me think of the Sweetbitter episode where the married couple offered Will money to jo in front of them with no intention of sleeping with him...just a way to get them hot and bothered for each other. JENNA. I continue to love the Jenna/Brynn friendship. Cuz their appearance at the lesbian bar...lol. And the birthday kiss!!! Brynnnnn!!! Outside of that, she was just kinda there and being around her family. JESSEL. JESSSSSSSSSEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lol. She went from quirky to Boss Bitca quickly. And through it all she was giving delusional housewife. She did a nice bounce-back from the start of the season where she felt like she was giving off an image. And layer by layer by layer, Jessel has piled it all off I felt. Perhaps it took the Mean Girls coming for her and her seeing it, but she did. Their mistake was coming for her marriage and trying to back 'Baby' in the corner. She got them good at Brynn's party. I rewatched that several times. She was so good! In terms of her husband, I don't get their arrangement, but he does seem like her best friend so how about letting them be? They are adorable and harmless. SAI. Jealous much? Perhaps she was triggered by all the mom comparison. But what made me turn on her was she was talking a good game, but not saying it to people's face. You know...the OPPOSITE of being straight-forward? It was the lunch with Jessel. And she was saying all of this stuff. And as the conversation went on, I realized she was saying it ONLY IN HER CONFESSIONAL!!!! My mind went WAIT. Why was she not saying this to Jessel's face so that Jessel could understand where she was coming from. And then she did say it...but ONLY when she was around the 'clique?' Yeah, I see what you are doing. smh. That was just some fakery to me. And once Jessel got her number and matched her energy...then she wanted to get all bothered. GIRL, BYE. And to make it worse...she was the one really responsible for the Ubah drama because she should have kept her mouth shut to begin with. There's the potential for a love to hate here, but she was not looking good at all by the finale. BRYNN. Girl, Girl, GUUUUURL!!!! You know you will always be famous with me, Brooke Davis!!! But...I had more self-awareness drunk at my birthday party last year where I caught drama (side-note I should have dealt with it then, but BIRTHDAY...but lesson learned for my birthday this year/weekend heehee) going on...but wisely downplayed enough to not cause more or ignore it. I loved the birthday cake. I loved her with Jenna. And I love the reveal about her love of books as a kid as I too (as I mentioned over in the PBS thread in this section of SOD) have one so I loved and totally understood that. It did not surprise me. The last person I was interested in who as I mentioned was an Aquarius...was interested in me also has a love of books and loves to read even more than I do...and before the drama and back when we were just friends...we would talk about books for hours. Last Fall (or two) we were playing Terrorist/Hostage with a library book (great philosophical dystopian book called Reset btw) between the two of us. So seeing that segment with Brynn and the books really resonated with me. All that said...I was just sad you could see Ubah was about to boil over and felt helpless for Brynn. And then watching that scene between Ubah, Sai, Erin, and Brynn...just horrible. I really hope they got it together for the reunion. All and all, I really liked NuNY (though I still like old NY). I do want the city to be more of a character in it as well. It started that way in the beginning, but fell by the wayside. And my feelings about Eric being around is double-edged. Will he take the RHOP approach that did not work for RHOA, or will he take what is already there and just make it stronger? Time will tell.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Same. She had me from Episode 1 when she did THIS. I feel like you're right as well on Lesa. More and more people are waking up to the fact she was on College Hill and loved her bougieness on there. And I loved her Season 1 off of her rep you all gave her here. She was WORTH THE WAIT for me. With fashion. Relatable story. And shade for days. I felt she hinted at her claws all through Season 1 with them coming out at the reunion and it did not disappoint. And like you...she already pointed out that Nina was manipulating BTS with Brooks confirming that as well. Lesa comes across beautiful, fun, AND intelligent until you cross her. Then watch out. And due to the mystery of why her and Ayan fell out and Lesa being shown as a ride-or-die kind of friend, people are naturally drawn to her and the mystery of what happened since their friendship was a ki last season. I would not at all be surprised if she rose as a dark horse to be the face of Dubai like Garcelle did over 2 seasons on BH. I suuure do. Since she came on that episode of Dubai where she tried to be Stanbury's voice/ride-or-die again to get smacked down by Ayan/Lesa. THIS. People can pick on the delay in viewing all they want online, but they could at least OWN that since there has been no spilling of tea, they are just as interested as the people not picking on the time delay. The more time (with no leaks) that has passing since Dubai S2 filmed, the more people want to piece the mystery together of why they fell out.

I hope that I'm not coming across like that. Cuz I love my Countess. Speaking of...while Bethanny be melting down online...the Countess stay living her best life... Same. A lot of how Season 1...even Ayan being activated in Episode 1 as the first feud in which she got read...was because of Brooks moving things, not Ayan.

NY OMG! Jessel! I can't believe she just did a 2 for 1 drive-by on Erin/Sai!!!! Woooow. She really does not play when she finally dropped the mask. And Sai's face actually cracked. Sai told her what she wanted...and Jessel gave it to her...making Sai backpedal. SAI?? I'm speechless at this birthday party.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
RHoDubai A solid S2 opener. I guess I want to get to the drama lol, but it was a nice set-up episode that did everything right. We got to play catch-up with all the ladies. Some are just living their lives. Some are doing their businesses. Some...are doing the old school HW trope...the feud. lol. Starting off the season with Ayan vs Sara was a nice touchstone to the S1 Reunion where Ayan hinted at Sara not being how she seem. Surely Sara was going to get her lick back. And it looked like she did in Page Six. But the thing is...I also don't think that Sara was wrong about Ayan. She does appear to be setting herself up to be a victim. Sara's only mistake...and it's one she made last year with her feud with Brooks...is that she never completely owns her own words. Something that Lesa clocked her on at the brunch. And speaking of feuds...ahhhh Lesa vs Caroline Stansbury. Their feud really started at the reunion as well. And I feel like it is going to be a subtle one. Like chess. Lesa clearly used her notes (c) her tagline last year and was doing all the right things. Her friendship with Ayan who is the fan favorite and being there for her while also knowing Ayan would want to be close to Stanbury who is a Bravo fan favorite from Ladies of London...though Lesa would rather she was not around. We see Lesa working on her business which was awesome, but interesting given the flashback to the reunion where Stanbury came for her business...like she was making a point. Then there was the brunch where Lesa stirred the pot a little during Ayan v Sara. Not to be outdone...Stanbury used her favor with Ayan to STOP the fight that Lesa was stirring up. Next move, Milan? lol. The pieces ARE there for a fight. It is just sad that the Lesa/Ayan friendship might be collateral damage. CAROLINE. Now is she a Caroline Or is she a Kim? Cuz her and Sergio as her chauffeur? I mean...does he do her make-up, too? lol. But seriously, it was nice to see Caroline back. And even better, she looked a lot more engaged than she did last season. She was part of the Beynonce VVIP feud. And started the mess with new wife Taleen. She made up with Ayan. She has her chess with Lesa. She was giving...dare I say it...Ladies of London Caroline Stanbury? Time will tell. TALEEN. I like her so far. So...she's a singer and knew CHRISTINA AGULIERA? SOLD!!! lol. She has good humor, too, though her voice makes me think of NJ while her look makes me think of Marysol on RHOM. And her and Brooks come across as friends. And she's not afraid to speak up. Nice intro. BROOKS. I SEE YOU, GIRL!!! She was soooo stirring the pot. And with a year gone by, Brooks is much better at it this year. I liked she had her girl Taleen's back...but she also stirring that pot between Taleen and Caroline so New Girl immediately has a storyline. And not to mention her stirring it between Ayan/Lesa and Sara/Caroline by not inviting them to her opening. And I'm happy about her business. SARA. I honestly don't know how to feel about her. I loved her last season because there was something fascinating about her, but I couldn't put my finger on it. She had a mystique. And then the Season 1 reunion happened, and Ayan was talking about how Sara tried to sic the police on her and I've just side-eyed her. I was saddened to see her open up...but I couldn't help, but wonder if it is now just a facade? In the last year someone dropped a picture online on her where she had a different face so that didn't help. And then she appeared to be gaslighting Ayan's words at the brunch before Lesa stepped in. Will the real Sara stand up? Cuz I think the REAL one was the one who threw the good shade at Ayan about her borrowing clothes...and THAT Sara seems nasty to me. LESA. Queen. Sorry. Or Not. Lol. I loved seeing everything with her. Her kids. Her business. Of course her husband. Her fashion. And I LOVE the Ayan/Lesa friendship. So I felt like their opening scene was clear foreshadowing. And I'm looking forward to seeing how this friendship fell apart. But I feel given the silent rivalry between her and Caroline, the friendship became collateral damage. AYAN. Hm. Still liking her, but side-eyeing her as well. Not just to the incoming drama with her and Lesa though. Ayan last season was a rare kind of Housewife that we really have not seen since HW shows begin...the housewife who comes in and leaves a SHARP impression from the moment she came on screen. The newer HW shows don't do it like the old ones did like with Nene, LVP, Teresa, and Vicki (first generation) or Tamra, Adriana, LeeAnne, Kenya (second generation). But she did and Jen Shah did IMHO aka third generation. (Note: I know there are several others in each generation, bullet pointing please don't come for me. ) That said...her vibe this episode was sadly what keeps happening...believing your own hype. Or as I usually call it...the second season curse. First you are loved. Then you are hated. And it's not helped by you being a cartoon of who you were in your first season. Ayan had the sass and her own personality, but she could still be real. It just felt like everything was for show this time around for me. The only things that felt real to me was her friendship with Lesa and her hurt at Sara. And I see Bravo is already setting them up to fail by a sharp change in schedule by moving them from Sunday to Tuesday. Le sigh. They need to learn.
