Someone with good story ideas and more than likely great execution YES. Though I know good and well if you were writing Y&R JM would be written out under your watch. JOKING!!! lol. I also agree. Cuz I know we had an excellent flow the February Sweeps that had Portia's wedding and things were popping. And I want to say the same for the February Sweeps before that. And it was clear come March that someone had derailed it and I am sure I went off about it because GH was Must See TV at that point. All that momentum only to be stalled and characters no one cared about being center stage. Clearly sabotage. Most def the best Sam. KM leaning into her Livvie Locke roots and being the villainess/schemer you love to hate. I miss her in that role.

It would be a good slip up for the industry all the same.

My co-worker has been talking about it forever and I do love Angela Bassett. But all this Buck talk...finally had to go look. And birthday...always looking for a good man.

6-7 So now that I've sat down and slept on it. I have mixed feelings about the climax to Ashley's storyline. Well... to be exact... that it has another turn coming and she'll be off canvas it seems for a bit. I thought everything Paris was well done. And the twist with Alan was good even if the fight was cheesy. Well done, but CHEEEESE. Especially since he was limping around a commerical break later. I was expecting Tucker to be that guy that came to rescue her. In a way, this felt like the story is going to be prolonged only so he can do just that. I just didn't like that Alan was like 'we still don't know all of the truth.' Well... don't we? Even hinting at something waaayyyyy back in the past worries me that JG is doing to mess up some history and Y&R is one of the few soaps you cannot get away with that without some backlash On a personal note, I hope I do find something interesting coming. lol. Just like the last time Ashley's storyline took up a whole week (and was well done with cliffhangers every day), I hope this show this week isn't like how the show was post-that week...aka annoying, uneven, and focused on boring story.

Hey now, I was always a fan. But of course that predates the board, but hey lol!!! 6-3 One thing I'm going to definitely miss when PM's name leaves the screen is going to be all the shades of gray. Like Ava...she's been slowly but surely going back to be a villain yet you can see how much she has feelings for Trina. And now here's this talk with Natalia. We all know I'm loving seeing Beast...I mean Brennan...being all of a dangerous and cunning in a way Cyrus never truly was...not to mention charming and not without a sense of humor. Even Carly has her moments. Not all heroes, not all villains. Can't say the same for Valentin lmao. One thing I loved about PM taking over was that it seem like he was surely writing an exit for him and Ava. And I know that has been something that the majority of the people here have been wanting to happen so I was looking forward to it. He was not my favorite Cassandine, but if they are not going to be around, no need for him really. So I was looking forward to him leaving since it gave him direction and a beginning, middle, and end. That said...good cliffhanger with that. lol. But so was Friday's now that I think about it. And picking up on this episode...I giggled at Jason's sideway shot.

I almost wish that I had not seen the NEXT WEEK promo because I was hoped on the coda last week when Alan revealed he never talked to her and was trying to figure out what that could mean. I was that invested. lol. Again...the power of the Ash. I agree with you on well acted and the twist. Dislike JG I have on this run, but it's clear he really does love the Abbotts above all other families and it shows. I admit that I've been mostly nit-picky on everything BUT (and even then I have, too) the Ashley storyline. And I attest that to Eileen Davidson's acting and everyone around her aka the Abbott family. Cuz the story has been so uneven though that even worked in its favor due to Eileen Davidson giving a masterclass on acting with a split personality. Those tells she gave long before the story took off were flawless.

I finally broke down and peeked in to see what the whohow was about. Go on Angela Bassett!!! And I really got hooked into the custody drama with Hen and Anne Hathaway's friend from THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA and RENT. It's going to wind up on my binge list.

WHAT?? NO!!! I didn't!!! I don't like Terri DeMarco (though of us in the HWs thread know who I'm talking about since I coined the phrase), but I don't go searching her out and could care less about what she does. That is crazy.

It might be because it was being sold and advertised as a continuation/reboot and what it REALLY appeared to be was a straight up remake of a movie that was a sleeper hit with prime actors (Liv Tyler, Scott Speedman) that had very little false notes. Never underestimate how horror fans cherish their movies. I wanted to see it because it felt like they are going to get into the mythology. Since it's a filmed back to back trilogy allegedly, they might just do that. But since I know it's now a REMAKE (and like most of the world I am kinda tired of remakes for things that didn't need one...), I can wait for it to start popping up on my television rather than hitting the movie theater and feeling like a waste of money.

6-6 Well, I guess we know now why Ashley splintered now. lol. It's on the strength of this being a heavy Ashley week and my love of Eileen Davidson that I kept on watching when I was about to stop on 6-5...which was NOT an Ashley episode. And this is the second time they get a good writing flow going on...only for her story to vanish usually on a good coda...cuz ugh. And what stories they had on 6-5? Connor's off-screen adventures. Summer walking back giving Claire the benefit of the doubt. And Winters drama with Mamie...whom I was happy to see (and Chance in the Claire mess) since they had upped and vanished. And now Billy the Prick is setting up Lily for more Winters drama. And while I figured out the twist mid-episode, I did like how the cliffhanger was done. So here I am on Friday's episode. Oops. But...the power of Ash. lol.

6-3 I admit...we knew it's been coming. But the 'Is Dollar Bill Luna's father' storyline has really been flowing the last week or so. And perhaps it's a good thing that it had fits and starts. Those fits and starts allowed for us to get to know Luna a little bit more and see Bill/Poppy grow as a couple. And look at them already trying to poke Katie into that couple. Ugh. If Bill has to have two women fighting over him, it should be Poppy and LI. Love that Li's back and has been stirring it up with everybody. She's such a great antagonist and the potential is there. Even her storming over to Bill's makes sense given her history with Poppy AND her history with Bill who had her back during her Sheila drama. And the actresses have great adversarial chemistry. The coda at the end of this episode was GREAT. Meanwhile, Hope's been showing her claws with Steffy and I loved she threw Brooke's business history in Steffy's back. Cuz...what has Steffy done? Hmm. And Annika was looking fierce.

6-3 Can I take a moment to say how much I am loving the Paris 'remote?' It's been a minute since several characters organically winded up in the same place out of town so it was cute. I have loved the various re-dressed sets. I've loved the different sets. Ashley's hotel room with all that space and the French doors. The elevator that Tucker and Audra were sparring in. Tucker's balcony. Now this little lounge...and the awesome overhead camera angle as Ashley, Traci, and Alan entered the lounge. I've liked it so much that every time the episode went back to Genoa City, I went le sigh. It's good to see that someone in design was clearly having some fun on this show. Now that story...I gasped last week when Alan told Ashley he never talked to her that night. So either he's shady or there's another twist coming. Like I said to @Antoyne...I liked that there had to be something else to make Ashley split other than that Tucker/Ashley fight. And now this week looks like they are diving into what that is. Granted I have an idea now with the next week promo (ugh), but the foreshadowing is already there with Tucker and his weird encounter with Alan on the street. Eileen Davidson continues to give a masterclass and probably the only reason this story has been holding my interest over all the other stories. Sally back in fashion design? YES, PLEASE. Since I know I get picked on for it, yes, I enjoy Nick running around with his himbo self. But can we get him out of that jacket? js. lol. Speaking of fine, TSJ's muscles suuure have been looking good in that buttoned down of his. Speaking of TSJ, I seem Tucker has been hit or miss as it's been Tucker vs Audra. And honestly, can you blame Audra now? It is seeming like breaking up to just get Tucker and Ashley back together at this point. Last week I was loving all the drama with Diane. And we even got a Diane/Victor scene. They haven't really had any since she came back from the dead. And it seems like they are on the same page when it comes to Jack and Nikki. I do wonder where that could go...especially with Victor back in Kyle's ear again. Jill and heart problems...say it ain't so? Though it's nice to know Snapper is there with her.

I have total faith.

Oh, no...if you were around for the ORIGINAL war...it was much, much worse. So much so...I WASN'T there and I KNOW of it. The viciousness was that real. So this year...is probably light compared to that. Well tbf since I am catching up...Jason is in the open also to be sure Sonny's name is attached to a legit business...as he told Sonny to his face.

Well...I do like them big Silly dumb jocks with a dream. Though I do agree with Khan that at his age, his family should call him out more. Now don't hate on me cuz JM looks good for his age. Or it is probably my thing for Aquarius...not helped by their freak number. Not to much on the frat boy, Lover of frat boys. 😜
