  1. I've been enjoying the introduction of Toni's mother Barbara. How long was Barbara on? The whole Althea/Nick/John/Kathy quad was a slow moving mess. I do like the Doctors but the slow pacing and repetition makes it hard to watch.
  2. I liked Nancy with Chris he grounded her flighty ways. I also liked Nancy with Perry. Poor Nancy she had two great pairings that AW squandered. Both Greg and Tony were awful pairings for Nancy.
  3. I had no idea Jason's dad every appeared. How long was Paul on? What was his storyline?
  4. What i've seen of ATWT from the early 80's is a revolving door of newbies. The only things that worked were John and James rivalry, Tom and Margo and the Steve,Betsy,Craig and Diana quad. ATWT does seem to stabilize under Susan Bedsow Horgan. ATWT was in nice shape for Doug to weave his magic for the next 8 years.
  5. I remember this Paul and Katherine's cousin were lovers and planned to murder Katie Lady for the Delafield millions.
  6. For all the numerous turnovers i enjoyed most of AW from the 80's. It's seems to me that Ben was written out in favor of Jake. Ben McKinnon, Edward Gerard and Neal Cory each only lasted 7 months. It's always a treat seeing Ellen Wheeler playing the Hudson twins. Cass and Kathleen had such great chemistry. It's a shame what the writers did to Peter Love. Peter started out as a nice guy and ended up a monster.
  7. I thought Scott Defreitas was good as Andy. He was highly effective during Andy's bouts of alcoholism. I always liked Andy he was a sweet nice guy who only wanted someone to love. Your right about Carly and Jack. How many affairs, remarriages and divorces can a couple go through. They did have chemistry but became worn out. Jack without Carly was dull as dishwater.
  8. I've really been enjoying SFT. Even with the massive turnovers SFT was still enjoyable. When did SFT reach the point of no return?
  9. If i remember correctly there was already bad blood between them. But Vicki as Nikki killing Johnny made things even worse. I found Carlo more menacing during his first run.
  10. Carmen had potential but she was quickly turned into a cartoon. Carmen always trying kill Michelle got tiring. Mitch i agree about abuelita Santos. A face off between Meta and Abeula would've been awesome. Being hispanic i was glad that GL finally created a hispanic family. But i was quickly disappointed.by the Santos clan. Did GL ever reveal the Santos family hispanic background?
  11. Almost a year. Days was enjoyable under them. Sadly they were replaced by Dena Higley
  12. I really like Crossie wish there was more of it on youtube.
  13. It's formulaic and predictable and filled with quirky characters. It's a safe bet it will be on CBS for the next 20 yrs. Prime example NCIS, NCIS Los Angeles and NCIS New Orleans.
  14. I'm pretty sure it's 1985. The Baxter/Paula/Mark/Clarissa quad has been a blast to watch.
  15. Yes your right about Shana's story . I always found Loving so bland and generic. But i did enjoy watching the episode. I guess it gave me a nostalgic feeling.
  16. A house filled with Q's in all their dysfunctional glory. Lucy up to no good. I loved Dawn and Decker there was so much potential in them. Unlike present day GH in this era there were so many likable and interesting characters.
  17. From what year are the clips from?
  18. Jessie was so bland and basic. I liked Simon and India they were fun and mischievous. Reva and HB played well off one another. I like Larkin Malloy but i find Kyle dull. The stolen art story seems like a dud. GL was rudderless during this time. Not as good as Pam Long's second run. Or it's early 90's resurgence which ushered GL last golden age. Never seen this soft jazz closing. With the characters still interacting. I really liked it.
  19. I've been enjoying the ATWT episodes from 2000.The show isn't prefect but it's watchable and entertaining. The best story was the stalker story. Lilly and Holden story lacked direction. Jake naturally worked very well into the Oakdale canvas. It's a shame Jake was killed off only a couple of years later. John's and Camille's mentor relationship was great. I wished Andy's and Denise's story was written better none the less Scott DeFreitas and Cassandra Creech did an amazing job. Characters are a bit isolated in this era but it got worse in ATWT last years. Still i'll take ATWT from this era over Jean Passanante's.
  20. I binged watched the whole thing. It's an awesome series i hope it's renewed. A added bonus for me is that it's set in the 80's..It gives me such a nostalgic feeling for that bygone era.
  21. I know! Seeing the pic of Jen and Jesse and now Alex and Zach, makes me miss ATWT even more That group of extremely talent young actors always elevated the dreck Jeanie P wrote for them.
  22. It looks very generic and by the numbers. The type of show CBS loves to put on air. Couldn't they at least have given the ginger surfer boy's hair a light trim. I liked George Eads since his days on the short lived Savannah.
  23. 1986 HBS and GM were lively and interesting as Tom and Margo. While SH and ED were so stodgy. I loved seeing both Frannie,Marsha and Kim having flashbacks of Doug. The amazing Elizabeth Hubbard gave a heartbreaking performance Lisa was dancing with an old queen? oh it's Earl. Under Marland ATWT was so well written and so full of life. 1997 I loved Lucinda and Holden scenes locked in Lucy's wine cellar. One the best things from this era was Lucy and Holden finally burying the hatchet. By this point Lucy's hatred of all things Snyder was stale and played out. I thought Emily's rape by Diego was overkill. I hated how after Mr. Marland death Emily became so neurotic. I liked Nikki and Ryder but the teens during this era never got great stories. ATWT missed a golden opportunity not bringing back Ryder's bio mom Joyce Lisa's arch nemesis. It's strange how Ryder was still a teen but both Andy and Paul were older. FMB's run as EP started strong and quickly fizzled out.
  24. Connor's triangle with Cal and Mark did a lot of damage to the character. I liked Susan Batten as Luna on OLTL. Firing AR-T and recasting Connor with SB was so stupid. AR-T brought something special to the role. SB looked lost while making awkward faces. Plus her thick southern accent often came out.
